What really sucks is how much our countries are intertwined with each other. For some reason, my people have been convinced that what is good for Israel is good for the U.S. Nothing could be further from the truth. What is in Israel's best interests is not in our best interests. Yet there are enough wealthy pro-Israeli lobbyists here to push this agenda even when it is clear that we should be doing the opposite. Carter's and Reagan's acceptance of the settlements being built is an excellent example of this.
Maybe the next president can help loosen our relationship with Israel. I doubt they'd be as cozy as the evangelical neo-cons were. And thank god for that.

I'm completely against the settlements, but I have to say that the people there don't go and shoot arabs, they don't lunch rockets on arab towns, and they don't explode at their cities' centers. So don't say they're like Hamas or the Islamic Jyhad.

You know, when there were people who opposed the regime of Syria (Suria), Asad, the Syrian President, ordered to shoot into the crowd. Thousands of people were killed, but he didn't care. What I'm trying to say is, that in any other place in the world, the Palestinians were treated far worse than we treat them. You should be thanking us for how soft we are towards them.

Ok Az you are going to have to sit up straight and speak to me a bit more clearly. I never said there was anything wrong with Arabs. I think that their culture has been brain washed into believing a certain way that makes them a threat. Not all of them but they can be very cruel individuals and put a group of them together that believe in this deep seeded religion of theirs and they become toxic.
They send their children to check points loaded with enough C 4 to kill hundreds of people. They have their own children kill themselves in the name of religion. Their mindset is destructive and up till the war I never thought much about it. Then I started to read and thought we should really just nuk the whole place and build strip malls. Take over the land regain the oil and then invest in a damn desert. That was a brief thought, as I read more I understood that not all of them were this way and some were even forced. Regardless of how I feel one way or another we have no business being over their based on false accusations. We have now invited this crazy mindset into our lives on a global scale now. We have screwed ourselves as a nation and regardless of our military competence they will pick us apart along with other countries until we become nothing.
It may not be in our life time but it will happen. If we were going to do it then we needed to completely destroy them instead of pissing them off. Bush should spend the rest of his pathetic life in Leavenworth. I may even buy stock in the old KY Company then.
However what are you referring to? A sign or something. You will have to be clearer. If it is a sign then I would have to read it to tell you whether I agree with it or not.

Well yes you may be right that there are cruel idividuals but
1. Not only the Arabs have cruel individuals (I wasn't saying you said that). I mean for heavens sake look at the fundamentalt christians who lock up children in a ranch and force them to marry their farthers... wtf(merely an example to show that Arabs aren't the only ones with "cruel individuals".)?
2. I don't understand how this could possibly be a reason not to let Arabs in. What has the normal Arab to do with that kind of stuff?

Also, if you destroy them (the fanatics), you'll be no better at all -- and I doubt you'll dare to consider them "destructive" since you're one with that mindset as well.
but somehow, all western people think that, no matter what they do (even if they are destructive), they have more right than anyone else on that. I'm not saying that muslim fanatics are not destructive or 'evil' (shall I say that), but if you think like them you'll be no better

Again lets start from the top boys an girls, NOT ALL OF THEM. That is what I said. Just like not all Christians are going to lock up little children and have them drop to their knees for Grandpa Joey. So in a perfect world we could just bundle them all up, the fanatics that is, and then blow the crap out of them. However that is not the way war works and innocent people lose their lives. Muslims fanatics are just a bad combo. It’s like having a gay Catholic preacher that dreams of little boys in gowns.
