While Maximus had the upper hand from the start, Aragorn made a late comeback and was the last man standing.

I think Link also, Sparrow is pretty good at sparring but not that good I don't think.

Jack Sparrow is a better duelist no doubt but because Master Sword would most likely cut right through Jack's swords it's a hard choice.
If we make a deal that Jack Sparrow's sword won't break or that he will be smart enough to only evade the winner is...
Captain Jack Sparrow (I would want Link to win though. )

Its a complete draw...... Depending on wich Link he is figthing.
Sparrow have a insane amount of experience, and it also depends on the Link he is.
Only TP/MC/WW Link would really have a chance due they are trained swordsmenn, most of the others like OoC/MM Link is however not even close to them in skill level.
Soo if its TP/MC/WW Link, Sparrow gets beaten but is capabel of wounding Link in the procces.
However if its any other Link, he is doomed. Sparrow would just crushed him.
Note: Hence since the 20 post limit hit me......... i will explain a bit using this post.
OoC = Ocerina of Time
WW = Wind Waker
MC = Minish Cap
TP = Twilight Princess
MM = Majoras Mask
It short terms for the games, Link usually got different weapons and training in the different games. In OoC Link is never trained, soo happends in alot of the other games too.
However in Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Minish Cap Link is trained at some point. In Minish he is trained by a swordmaster during the game, and in TP he is trained by a other swordmaster and later trained more by the ghost of the previus himself or somebody in his bloodline.
In Wind Waker link is also trained by this combat master at his island, have not played too much of soo i don't know if he gets trained anywhere else on the top of that.

Yeah, but you are forgetting that Link has magic, whereas Jack Sparrow doesn't. Remember Ocarina of Time? All those magic sword tricks, being able to lift insane objects, getting a certain number of hearts (life) that you wouldn't believe, and the fact that Link has been through Time and he does know time travel. Clearly, how could you go wrong with Link?

I don't know but if it's any Zelda game where Link looks like he was drawn by a 2 year old then you can rule it out

I think it sortof depends on if Link has a lot of hearts or few. If a lot then he would win, but if this is at the start of the quest he would get pwned.

The contest isn't even close! Link wins! He has skills Sparrow wouldn't aquire in a milenia of struggle come on Link has saved the world like 6 times and has kicked Ganondorfs ass trice! He is unbeatable~~~~~ Besides Link will most probably have 3 ressurection fairies in his pocket anyway.
Don't get me wrong I think Sparrows great but he is simply no match for our greenhoded friend in a fight.
