Alright everything has been sent now. You know the proccedure. You don't have to make it public but if you feel like commenting on your feedback feel free to do so. Censor out what you feel has to be censored, but don't add anything. Remember I have all the originals and I'll know if you're lying and I'll call you on it.

A child of mother Russia, taken at birth, indoctrinated to American lies. Jestful and arrogant. Right now, he is basically at the same level of maturity as any given politician. He needs to do some growing up. , Not much has changed and that includes his lack of humour sense, Seems to have lost some of his debating abilities and resorts mostly to spamming and quite aggressive posting. All in all, he's gone down. Don't let the spiral continue. , I like Mvass cuz you never know what to expect; his posts are either completely super-cereal or just downright crazy (in a fun way). A smart and witty guy. , Much improved from where he started , He's okay. He's an informative person to read but his posts are sometimes rather flat. Some cock & balls mixed into the batter would do a lot of good. , intelligent guy, wide interests, may be a bit head-strong in debates, doesn't quite try to look at things from someone else's perspective, doesn't pick on the intended meaning of an argument, rather the perceived one, which puts up a lot of obstacles when you debate with TD who sometimes doesn't formulate opinions well, sometimes a bit quick in judgement, respectable, rational , College has clearly addled his brain.  All he talks about any more is pillars. ; He is like an Cat he walks his indivdual ways, he has the world of his own in his mind, the thoeries that you are wrong you are right, sometimes it post something brilliant and something to obvious ( that mvass wrote, even xerox know that), We certainly don’t share an opinion on most things but well if you’re not talking about pillars or ripping off jokes in the VW you’re ok. Admittingly that only leaves a small percentage of your posts but nevertheless it's something , his input into the love/pillar theory threads always cracks me up with his sirious love-relationship research. That plus his specific sense of humour makes it very confusing wether he's doing a joke or being dead serious. I always tend towards the joke.
Analysis to come later. Apparently HC collectively fails English. "He's like an Cat he walks his indivdual ways".

"Jestful and arrogant."

"Much improved from where he started". Thanks. Although no participant in the sociogram was even around when I started.

"Seems to have lost some of his debating abilities and resorts mostly to spamming and quite aggressive posting. All in all, he's gone down. Don't let the spiral continue." My apologies. However, I had an interesting debate with Ohforfsake recently, so if you're interested, you can read that. I don't agree with this analysis, but I can explain why one would think so. The OSM doesn't have much discussion about capitalism these days - it's been mostly about religion and love lately. Seeing as how I have already said a great deal about the former, I focus on the latter. If you are not a fan of my approach, your opinion may well have its origins there. Also, I'm getting kind of tired of having to repeat myself all the time. I'll still do it if necessary to explain myself, but it's a bit frustrating.

"Some cock & balls mixed into the batter would do a lot of good." ...what?

"doesn't pick on the intended meaning of an argument, rather the perceived one, which puts up a lot of obstacles". It's not my fault if the person I'm debating has trouble saying what they mean.

"College has clearly addled his brain.  All he talks about any more is pillars". There are several things wrong with this.
1. I came up with pillar theory before I started college.
2. It is not true that all I talk about is pillars. I also argue in favour of capitalism and against religion.
3. This implies that pillar theory is bad, which it isn't.

"sometimes it post something brilliant and something to obvious ( that mvass wrote, even xerox know that)". While obvious to some, it may not be to all. (Yes, I realise this last sentence was rather obvious.)

"his input into the love/pillar theory threads always cracks me up with his sirious love-relationship research. That plus his specific sense of humour makes it very confusing wether he's doing a joke or being dead serious. I always tend towards the joke." Are you saying love - something that is usually regarded as serious - should not be treated seriously? Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Thus, my opinions on the matter. As for my sense of humour, yeah, it can be hard to detect sometimes. I have that problem in RL too. But a skilled Mvass scholar should be able to tell.

Not to worry, once my Academy opens, there will be plenty of chances to even study under me directly. How cool is that? As for my writings, I'm sure they'll be studied for generations, with numerous classes offered about them, such as "Mvass", "Mvassian Literature", "Mvassian Ethics", "The pre-Mvass Economists", "Mvass and His Opponents", and, as these things tend to be, "A Feminist Reading of Mvass", at which time I will rise from the grave and brutally slaughter the people responsible.

Blizzardboy

The court jester. By far one of the more fun people to come around in a while. Not the most intellectually refined of the bunch, but a cool guy. , Reading his posts is bound to make you smile, fun guy, Once a spammer, always a spammer, has a horrible avatar, seems to have his moments at times , Fun, creative and friendly guy, there are few posts that actually make me laugh around here but Blizzardboy’s posts are among them. , Maybe even more chaotic then me. , A man of humor and intelligence , Fun guy most of all, occasional hilarious insights, concerts a lot of effort in playing H5 still for some sordid reason, very attentive, pretty smart, cool, understands a lot of things, Sort of like 80% Baklava and 20% Binabik.  Good for a laugh most of the time but can be serious and insightful when he's so motivated. , the rage, the flames, the chaos of creating, i can feel that it has lots of energy inside that he puts in the HC activity... sometimes he doesn't control it, and it is very easy to make him angry , his picture of an invisible Stalker still cracks me up. Great great great guy. Except for his H5 skills he’s awesome (that's right you SUCK!!!). , one of my favorites - he posts sporadically and always in an entertaining manner hence every post of his I see is an autoclick. 'Whine all you want, see if I care (in a manly way)' describes his style in short.

A few comments:

1. Clearly some people are envious of my amazing H5 skills

2. The thought of an 80% Baklava - 20% Binabik hybrid is quite frightening, especially when it's suggested that I'm it.

3. The hung squirrel was an awesome avatar , but I'm not always a joker and I realized I'd never be taken seriously again as long as I kept it up.

4. Yes, I am very manly. A man's man's man's man.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was thinking I'd get a few criticisms about being overly brazen at times, but I guess it was overlooked.

A senior citizen. Brings the perspective of an older gentleman to a discussion. , Rather like him, witty, interesting guy. Not very familiar with the osm however so I've missed a good portion of his posts. , Always peaceful, polite and thoughtful. Doesn't reply without thinking through. Has a good way of presenting his views. We need more OSMers like him., , Still one of the smarter posters we have.  Gets caught up in technobabble sometimes however. A nice guy with a lot of insight on different subjects, while I normally shun too long OSM posts I have no problem with reading those made by Corribus, got a great sense of humour too. , Easy-to-read but still sophisticated. That's Corribus. I can see a burning temper creep through occasionally, but whatever, isn't that what politics is all about? , The indisputable King of the OSM. There is no member of HC that I know of whose posts so consistently radiate intelligence and insight. He does a good job of being humorous too, when the situation calls for it. The only way he could improve is if he’d become more active. But I’m sure he has plenty to do when he’s not on HC, like discovering the cure for fundamentalism. , manly man, resident mad scientist, healthy dose of perspective on certain matters, honest, down-to-earth, not afraid to call a spade a spade, knows when not to get involved , balanced, what else i can say more about him, only good thing i hear about him and read , god you must be tired of hearing how insightful and wise and clever and handsome and smart and whatnot you are. So here’s something new: you’re a naggin old man on a forum for children! Nah seriously you’re pretty much everything they say about you. I still aspire to make my life as cool as your achievements. I wonder what you’re like when you lose your calm though. Any tips on how we could make that happen? , altough his post are of the better quality in the OSM, I still prefer it when he takes a trip out of it.

...except to say that while I appreciate the praise, I do find it rather depressing that I'm viewed as a senior citizen.

I'll be honest and say that I've at times considered packing my bags and moving elsewhere, to somewhere that might be more (hmmm) age-appropriate.  I do feel that the general quality of posts here has declined over the years.  Please don't take that as a criticism of you all.  The people who are reading this now and are participating in this thread are by and large the cream of HC's crop: it's just that HC has gone from a nice heavy whipping cream to something around a 1% milk.  The cream's no less sweet now than it was before: it's just that now there's a whole lot less of it.  It doesn't help that there is one member who just kills all possibility of enlightened discussion.  I'm sure you know of whom I speak.  Yes, indeed, that is perhaps the sole reason the OSM has become so anemic.  Sad that one person can be so disruptive to harmony, but there it is; I suspect in the heyday he would have been chased away by now, but there just aren't enough clear voices here anymore to combat the noise.

Anyway.

Yes, I've thought about going someplace else.  But for better or worse, the funny thing is that this place just feels like home. [/tears]  Posting somewhere else just wouldn't feel right.  Although, I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog of some kind.  We'll see.

I also find it rather interesting that people perceive that I am even tempered.  Well, I guess I am that in real life as well.  I don't often lose my temper, and when I do, I cool back down rather quickly.  I do admit to being stubborn but I will usually (eventually) apologize when I'm in the wrong.  More importantly, I have learned that most of the time transgression is mistaken for misunderstanding, and misunderstanding isn't worth the energy it requires to hold a grudge.  Have I lost my temper in real life?  Yes.  I tend to absorb it rather than express it.  Maybe that's not healthy, but it's what I do.  Have I lost my temper on HC?  Yes.  Sometimes that creeps through in my posts.  I've posted things I've regretted.  But most of the time it's through irritation or impatience rather than true anger.  As I've matured (both in real life and as a poster), I've come to realize that there will at times be other people who just completely rub me the wrong way.  Those people are few and far between.  But I've realized that it's better to just ignore them rather than to argue.  You can't make them see your way.  They don't want to compromise.  They don't want to learn.  They don't want to teach.  So, what's the point?

Tips to piss me off?  You should have gotten me about 10 years ago.  I was much quicker to fly off the handle.  These days, I'm not sure any of you could get me riled up enough to actually make me go nuts.  Especially on-line.  I'd me more inclined to just ignore you than yell at you.  That's the beauty of conversing through a computer screen.

Well, that's more than I intended to write.  Thanks for the comments, people.

And by the way, the cure for fundamentalism is knowledge.  Getting people to accept the cure is the real challenge.

@Azagal

I'm truly sorry but I have to confess that I completely neglected to send veco any comments about you.  I think the fact that you are willing to put something like this together on your own time speaks to your dedication to the community and no other comments on my part are needed. Well done.

Don't want to come off as a tyrant.  Besides if we listened to each other a little more and did a little less of the "I am right, and you are wrong." while holding our ears...world would be a better place.

You seem to be a good willed and goodhearted person but in my personal oppinion those may be good traits but those alone don't really do it. I believe you excuse most of your shortcomings on being "chaotic" which I find a bit irresponsabile. It's not as easy as saying "it's simply because I'm chaotic". But this is an internet forum so it doesn't really matter. You try hard and you do your best which is recommendable, whether the execution is good is a matter of taste I believe. You seem to be a good person on the inside which is a great thing in itself, right?

Well, I do not make excuses.  Being chaotic does not excuse anything I may do.  If I say or post something, at the time I believe it.  I may later come upon evidence that I was mistaken..or change my viewpoint, but at that moment in time it is what I believed.

He's been around for a while. Apparently has this thing going on with Pandora. Not much to say about him. , His usual old self, awesome guy to have around, The man, rock on! , Geny’s an essential part of HC, couldn’t imagine it without him. He’s always up for a conversation and chats with everyone. , Not sure who is funnier, him or Baklava , This person annoyed me in my first months of HC because of his bullying of less reputable members, but now I can't help but smile when he does it. He must have corrupted me. I've slowly come to like this poster quite a lot. , His posts have gotten more interesting lately. A pretty good poster. , bit overrated, not really funny, knows when to take distance, puts a lot of consistent effort in the things he's engaged in, attentive, don't know much about him, consistent, smart, doesn't like to be serious or talk serious things , So in love with Pandora that he can't enjoy his life. Get over it, man, she's not coming back , No Pan support is taking heavy toll on him,
sometimes it has the burst of the ancient creativity and glory but it quickly burns out, still he is the best one liner poster in HC. If Valery would be Jesus Geny would definetly be one of his disciples. One of the rocks on which the “modern” HC is build.

To be frank I expected harsher criticism than "bit overrated". I guess people see me as this relic of the past that has to be treated gently lest he crumbles to dust.

I'm very happy to know that my mind-washing techniques still have some effect on our younger members.

Also, considering everything I've seen on HC in the 3.5 years I've been here being called the best one liner is a true honor. TA would be proud.

That's pretty much it, as I agree with most of the rest with not much comment.

P.S. As for the Pan thing, anyone of you who can say he doesn't miss her is either a liar or dead inside (or came here after her major decline in activity).

Thank you all for the feedback and a special thanks to Azagal for organizing this once more. Peace out.

Seems like a generally nice guy. Doesn't have any outstanding faults or areas where he shines. As of his performance as a moderator, he's been nice and listens to people. Is not a nazi. A good moderator (as in: could be alot worse). A vital part in the machinery that keeps HC alive. , mixed image, spammer, sometimes lame, sometimes easily aggravated and tyrannic, sometimes cheery and laid-back, get hold of yourself man! , A moderator role model if you ask me: Friendly, helpful and just, add funny to that too. , Seems like a smart guy, good at discussing. A bit of a hot-head it seems. , Really cool guy. He's toppled Alcibiades as my new favorite mod. , A good poster and mod. I haven’t really crossed paths with him much, though (despite his post count). , Good mod, honest mod, empathic mod, great guy overall. Listens a lot and puts a lot of effort in games and activities at HC. Smart and down-to-earth guy who can speak on several levels , Elvin's a nice guy.  One of the few active moderators, though sometimes a little overzealous in the spam forum.  Sometimes I wonder, though, what does he actually believe in? ; Seems to be very busy and all the real life duties take most of the good energy from him, still he tries to be as much overrated like he was in the past... , fun, easy going and dependable, the backbone and pillar of the H5 section, you don't see him nag or whine although maybe he should (at least a little ).

Loved the get hold of yourself man You didn't think I'd be one-dimensional did you? I don't always have the luxury of being my usual self, I also have a job to do and am occasionally abrupt when I see someone adding to it. It's not always the individual post(or poster) I take issue with but the mass of incoming spam that will most likely follow.
I'm really curious about one thing though, what I actually believe in? That's a bit vague for me to answer. Thanks for the comments guys

Sorry again, for not actively participating. Here we go:

Quote:

He doesn't seem to make much sense anymore. Loses sight of the whole point and pointlessly derails conversations.

I get the impression that he likes pissing people off or intetionally disagrees to get a debate. Lower down the aggression a little and you'd do better.

Seems like a smart guy, good at discussing. A bit of a hot-head it seems.

Has potential to be one of the best posters of all times, if he could just lighten up.

Well I have mixed feelings about this guy. He's a good poster that expresses his opinions clearly and coherently. He's got a "my opinion and ideas absolutely need to heard at all costs and I'll type for 10 pages if necessary" mentality, which can be overbearing, especially in the Feedback thread, but overall think he's okay.

Unusual. He’s definitely a lot older than most of HC, and it shows. When talking about life, he speaks from experience, and is often right. On the other hand, sometimes he’s too harsh to some people. He shouldn’t dismiss them outright. Nevertheless, a good poster.

Cynical, doesn't pick on the intended meaning of an argument, rather the perceived one, which puts up a lot of obstacles when you debate with TD, seems pretty smart and cultured and aware of things, too serious sometimes, interprets a joking comment rather harshly, doesn't consider the merits of others' ideas, judgemental, set in his ways

JollyJoker has a lot of good things to say, but he often allows his bellicosity to interfere with how he says it.  If we were having dinner, I'd be half scared of getting a carving knife tossed in my direction.  Nevertheless, I bet he has a lot of great life stories to tell, and I'd like to hear more of them.

He is the light in OSM darkness ruled by Mvass and TheD, intelligent, good mannered, responsible, innovative...

I'll probably comment a bit later on, when I have more time to really dig what people saying. I have to dwell on things a bit.

Okay, some comments:

Quote:
A bit of a hot-head it seems.

I'm certainly not known for my noble constraint.

Quote:
He's got a "my opinion and ideas absolutely need to heard at all costs and I'll type for 10 pages if necessary" mentality

Guilty, I suppose, even if I think it's not as pronounced as it used to be.

Quote:

To each their own. I've made it a point in my life to be consequential. Some things are just pointless, when they are done without a reason. For example, if the only reason not to "dismiss" a person is, not to dismiss them, I'd say it's pointless. So I'd like to get a good reason for why I shouldn't do that.

Quote:

Debating with TD... well. That's defintely something I don't need.

Quote:
too serious sometimes, interprets a joking comment rather harshly, doesn't consider the merits of others' ideas, judgemental, set in his ways
For the Italics, not every joke is a joke for everyone. In fact, some jokes can be pretty thoughtless. For the underlined one, I'd say I consider them alright, but most ideas simply suck. Of course that includes my own, but with others the suck-factor is a lot more obvious to me.
For the rest, I suppose there may be some truth in it.

Quote:

I like this one a lot. The first part is right, except that I wouldn't use the word "interfere". I wouldn't throw with knives, neither at a dinner or elsewhere - but maybe pasta. You know, hurling a handful of Tagliatelle around will either immediately defuse a tense dining situation - or lead to duelling pistols, 10 steps, half past five a.m. Also, sloshing someone a glas of water in the face, can have astonishing affects.
ME, I'm peaceful, though; I've been on one or two interesting dinners, and, believe it or not, I'd never compromise the dinner of SOMEONE ELSE. My own, though, that is, if it was MY birthday, MY wedding and so on, well...

I suppose, Azagal did forge that...
Anyways, that one got me blushing. Whoever, that was, thank you very much, I'll try to do justice to this prophetic comment.

Has a stable record of well meaning and fun posts with a few fluctuations of win and fail. A relatively new guy. I don't think he/she/it has mentioned Namus even once and that's a good thing. A part of the powerhouse that keeps the machinery that is keeping HC alive running. , He has grown to be HC's soul. Friendly, fun, naughty yet responsible enough to help and improve the community , tasteful spammer , A fun and friendly dude (yes you're a guy) one of the major contributors to our little forum nowadays imo, he's definitely one of my favourite people on HC , Creative, confusing , Really nice guy and cool, smooth attitude. I hate that Bonkers map though... DAMN HIM TO HELL! , A pretty fun poster. , a deceiver! Okay guy all in all, interesting viewpoints, great initiative, most of the time, someone I'm not very familiar with, since he's from a newer generation, but overall very likeable and nice, puts effort in things he's engaged in... Most of the time; she did make an positive impact on this place and on some "male" part of the HC, still I haven't figured her out to much..... , what a chiller' almost as lazy as me. I don't dare imagine how little will happen when I visit him.

"yes you're a guy" - What gave it away? Were it the pictures in the RL photo thread maybe? You must understand though, male/female on the internet is a superficial thing, don't let it bind you!

"puts effort in things he's engaged in..." - not really, I slack off a lot ask Azagal or Geny, they'll literally chew your ears off on how much they have to whip me in order to get anything done what a chiller' almost as lazy as me. - Azagal already started. Don't worry Az, I won't let you die of boredom here

All in all, I feel like getting a big cake with a "has grown to be HC's soul" cherry topping on it. Thank you

oh and one last thing.
Blizz - if you ever create a map, I will hate it too!

After reading corribus posts, I never considered that there were a great age difference on this board, it is not my general impression from the posts. I also think that people tend to forget that maturity might be more likely at higher age, but it is in average and probably not that useable for the single individual. On the other hand, when the single individual are interested and participates in certain activity, independent of age, said person learns from these and will talk at the level required given enough time.

So I don't think age matters much, those who've been much in OSM, will turn into general OSM'ers, those who focus on VW, will turn into general VW'ers, and all in all, we're probably all more or less a bit of both.

So, as I wrote in the religion thread earlier, it should not matter who the sender is, but what is sended.

However, I had an interesting debate with Ohforfsake recently, so if you're interested, you can read that.

Hey thanks for mentioning that.
I also found it rather good, and I'll at a later time try to figure out how to add it to the first post of the page, so people can get a quick and fast overview (that's assuming we're talking about the same thing. ).

Kind of a creepy guy with knives and posters of Hannah Montana. Brings to mind a picture of him driving a candy van. , Dark, intelligent, insightful, fun to have around. He seems to be changing lately. , Awesome guy, I like Joonas. Fun, friendly, open minded guy who doesn’t mind sharing a story or two , Needs to talk/post more.  Would liven the place up a bit. , He's okay. He can have an "I have something to prove" attitude, which is a turn-off, but I think it might be not-so-obvious sarcasm sometimes. I really can't tell for sure. , Haven’t really seen enough of him outside of the Manga thread. Seems to still be a pretty cool guy. , manly man with a soft spot for cuteness and his perception of beauty, a bit of a pessimistic guy, yet he tries to pass it off as rational or says some pretty dark things very matter-of-factly so it's hard to say anything against it, interesting guy overall, listens and opines ; He is like an Cat he walks his indivdual ways, he has the world of his own in his mind, the thoeries that you are wrong you are right, sometimes it post something brilliant and something to obvious ( that mvass wrote, even xerox know that), my personal therapist. , one can only be so manly on the internet, therefore in order to progress after you reach that point you can start adoring cute and silly things without losing your manhood.

"Kind of a creepy guy with knives and posters of Hannah Montana. Brings to mind a picture of him driving a candy van."

Aaahhahahahahhaaaa! Awesome!
Creepy? Really?

"Dark, intelligent, insightful, fun to have around. He seems to be changing lately. , Awesome guy, I like Joonas. Fun, friendly, open minded guy who doesn’t mind sharing a story or two ,"

Realist with a hint of broody and murderous nature. I am antisocial. Tends to leave to darkness at times.
I'm in a state of change in my life. School's over time to go to university and just killing time till then so yes. Time of change.
Things of past are things of past so why not share some? It'd be boring if everyone was all quiet.

Make better threads that interest me and I will participate more. too much crap filling HC nowadays.
Sarcasm? me? No way.

What can you do if you see something beautiful than admire it? Be it woman, nature or life. Shackling it up would be wrong. Yes I admit it. I am a hopeless romantic. Freedom and tragedy are things I love and adore. Can't help it. Don't want to help it. I love it.
Matter-of-factly because they are obvious to me. I've grown this way. There are things in life that make you think a certain way. I've had my share of some.
I like messing with peoples minds and I like when people mess with mine. You could say it's a hobby of mine to get to know to people's psyche.
Manly, lol, still think that? is being a misogynist being manly?

Hey Joonas, all I know about you is that you have some pics in the real life thread where you seem to be ice fishing. That, and that you've some kind of education in psychology or something?

Also you've long hair and probably beard, but that goes for everyone in this place, more or less, I suppose (yes even YOU spacebunny)

I did have long hair and beard. Not for a few years now.
