Ehm ok I'm sorry but the last batch of feedback has proven a tiny bit problematic...
As you all very well know (or atleast you should) I only do this under the premise that people don't insult each other or use the cloack of supposed anonymity to run rampant with things they've always wanted to say but haven't quite had the guts to do in public and I have been very happy to find that until now everyone has done a steallar job at that.

Now I find stuff like:
Quote:
In stead of be the groups own little nude barbarian slave boy.

Which is completly unacceptable and a blatant abuse of all this is suppose to be.

Now considering the fact that the person wrote a **** ton of feedback on everyone it may take me a while to wade through it all and come to a decision about this stuff... so far I'm sure the people who are on the tougher side of his judgement can take it no problem but like I said I want this to be constructive feedback. Ugggh.... obviously I won't edit anything out I just need to find out how far I let people take this....

Alright the Sociogram is complete.

I must say I'm very happy with how this turned out there is a lot of feedback and all of you have made keen observations which were for the biggest part presented in great ways. The animal thing turned out better than exspected with certain themes emerging for different users which aren't only reflected in the count of 1 animal but also in the overall group (feline, hunter, rodent) or in the characteristic people linked to an animal (sometimes people would assign different animals based on the same characteristic of a user so read the feedback before you check the overall animal count).

And on my part I'm very happy with how I organized the feedback both to make it look neat and make sure things couldn't be tracked due to position.

However this has unfortunately not been free of any problems. The last batch of feedback has proven problematic since it goes against one of the core principles of my project. And that is not to use this to say what you've always wanted to say in a disrespectful way simply because you feel safe under the cloack of anonymity.
I've never said that the feedback you give people should be all sunshine and roses but I've always asked people to be civil. As long as you properly explain your thoughts and  phrase things properly you can be as harsh and strict as you want.
Afterall we give the participants the feedback to help them understand or learn new things about themselves, the goal is to inform them not to demean them.
Quote:
In stead of be the groups own little nude barbarian slave boy.

This is not information. This is cowardice. And it's only one example of quite a few...

Now the people who've followed this project from the beginning or those of you who've done a little reading know that people showed concern for such abuses before I even did the first round. Back then aswell as today I was adamant about the fact that I both trust the people that something like this wouldn't happen and that I would never tolerate any wrongdoers. I've never been disappointed so far and I've never had to step in since this started which should come as no surprise since before every round I rigorously beat that specific point home before the collection begins and simply because this is HC. People simply don't do that here.

However now there is feedback with a blatant disrespect for some members and thusly it disregards my rules.
I was not sure how to handle this. Normally I would simply kick the person who sent me the feedback out of the list and delete all the feedback he/she gave but not all of her/his feedback is disrespectful.
The point is that I may be too strict and very recently it was shown that I have very high standards (they may very well be too high) when it comes to certain things. And despite my occasional zealotry I do not like to definitively say this is right and this is wrong.

Really I do not mean to sound all melodramatic and whiny but this decision isn't all that easy for me. I've given it a lot of thought and after asking a few people for advice (which wasn't really conclusive since it ranged from "Kick him/her out you couldn't have made the rules any clearer if you'd tatooted them to our foreheads" to "Nah man we can take it just say a few words first") I'm going to leave it.
Not because I want to compromise the integrety of the project or because I'm any less adamant about the fact that I find it despicable to use this to be mean to people but because of two reasons:
1)There's not a doubt in my mind that the people who've gotten the worst of the load can handle it. They're no idiots and they'll treat the petty ramblings for what they are.
2)While this is my project this has really developt into a community thing. Since this is the first instance of misbehaviour I won't dismiss it as much as I'd want to. I don't want to turn out to be wrong and then have deprived you of feedback simply because I have too high standards. I'll see the reactions to the feedback I believe to be quite pathetic in more than a few cases and if people mostly agree with me I will make the decision myself next time anyone goes to far. So bear with me this once.

But to end this on a positive note the feedback overall has been great, I'm really happy so many of you paricipated and wrote me such wonderful replies. Now I hope you enjoy your feedback.

Okay now you've all got your feedback! YAAAIJ! But what happens now?

1) Well read it duh
2) If the feedback you send me on everyone else is about to exspire (the little read text in the hcm messenger) send it to me again! I need to keep it for a while longer
3) You have the option to post the feedback you got in here so that people can read it too. Feel free to comment on it too if you like, just don't go making claims like "this comment is from X" no matter how obvious it may or may not be.
If you find something in your feedback which you don't want to make public you don't have to post it in the thread just leave it out.
4) Do no alter you feedback. I still have all the copies so I'll know if you've changed something.
5) Send Azagal a complementary bouquet of flowers and praise him

Other than that enjoy your feedback.

He's become more unimpressionable as of late, but still a terrific poster and terrific guy. He has the perfect calm and mellow personality needed to be a VW mod.

He is nice member, creative, he enjoys the community, he is also great HoMM5 plaer but I feel that he does not like me very much. Sometimes I feel that he is trying to have good relations with everyone, even if he doesn't like them. Fox.

Spider, his webs reach everywhere, is rather laid back but sometimes gets annoyed when too much of his web is broken and unleases his fury with frightening amount of sarcasm, also blatant abuse of mod powers to lessen his boredom

One of the most active mods. An ever-present and fair force on the community who is always very postive. Stag

Eagle.  Eagles soar high above, ever watchful.  Only to occasionally swoop down to devour unsuspecting prey. Exactly how Elvin swoops into threads and plucks out wayward posters.

Maybe he's an eagle... I don't know what to say about Elvin - he's a great mod and a great member of the HC. I really respect him for everything that he's doing for the forum. When I talked directly to him I kept my good impression of an intelligent and nice person. One word... Great.

High-strung, trigger-happy excuse of a moderator. He shamely abuses his powers and even thinks he's in the right when he does. The nerve!

I used to hate Elvin for various of reasons. I thought people's love for him was ridiculous and overrated. Felt like propaganda. I used to speculate he edited peoples' posts to make it seem like everybody loved him. But that was then, and now I love Elvin! He's post in the Temple of Ashan have helped me a lot despite that I rarely post there. And he's very active in the Altar too and because of their status, I am also looking for Elvin and Cepheus posts there. Elvin is cunning Fox, who knows much but doesn't reveal all.

great mod, easy to approach and sorts problems out quickly and fairly – MOUSE

Elvin is Elvin, you haven't changed that much. Still an awesome guy, fun to chat with. Dolphin

THoughtfull, friendly, fun, great posts. ANIMAL: Stag

Dog The loyal and ever-vigil moderator guy. This greek guy seems okay for me

good, fun mod who doesn't go too far over any lines, or insult anyone. Elvin is enthusiastic about basically everything.
Animal: A happy, cheerful dog.

Sarcastic, interesting, and a fun guy. Not much to say, really. He gets to become an Eagle.

Eagle
Elvin is on level above everyone else. He can often be seen posting around a little bit everywhere, leaving one-liners or just a simple emoticon. But being a mod, he can and will act seriously whenever  it is needed, and that is all one can ever ask for. Can sometimes be a little too much scornful, but otherwise this guy is truly awesome. Like an eagle, Elvin is a watchful guardian of HC that is way above everyone else.

How does he manage to post so much without spamming? Mostly active in the H5 scene, so I don't really interact with him much. Seems to be a good mod, though. Lion.

Elvin
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Carcity! A bit overrated. Not as active now as he was earlier. Seems to only go to the wasteland crowd when he is bored or he feels he has to. Seems to speak before thinking a lot. Could learn even from Carcity to sit back, try to think it through and then write. Still seems to care a lot about the posters there, which is rather unique, but he has troubles not following the group. Which means he has trouble living up to being a moderator.
My advice? Relax some more. Think before you write, in stead of ruining peoples topics. Try to write some more, but only write contributing stuff. Your spam had gone too far, but now you are too silent. Try to find the golden middle you earlier mastered so well. I hope everything is okay with you. You seem like a stranger. Even Carcity seems like a better poster.
I see Elvin as the fox. A part of the group and still he knows when it's his time to speak. Seems both unique and as a part of the community. If only he would not act as a slave of the community. It never heards to apologise, try it sometimes.

Heehe you’re a sly fox my friend. We talk a lot so there is precious little I can tell you that I haven’t said already. I admire the balance you’ve achieved between being a mod and the regular member you used to be. And yeah like someone already said it’s ridiculous how much you can post without spamming lol. Some may see you as a bit too cold and cynical at times but that’s hardly ever the case and if it’s for some reason the case you’re quick to put things into perspective.
Also you blatantly abuse your mod powers to have fun with us mere mortals…

Animals: 4xEagle, 4xFox, 2x Dog, 2xStag, Mouse, Dolphin, Lion, Spider, Snake

Some keen insights in there. I suppose I am a visible person but not always easy to tell exactly what you are seeing or what that means. I can be equal parts laid back and serious, diplomatic and blunt, all the while with a touch of laconicism which can give mixed impressions if you do not look at the whole picture. What has not changed is that I am more likely to be annoyed by certain posts than actual posters, what people say comes and goes and there are good as well as bad days. What has changed is that my recent schedule makes me focus more on certain forums and neglecting others simply because it's not easy to handle everything and I do not want to spread myself too thin. That may give the impression that I am distancing myself from certain crowds while I'm just busy Now, on to some specifics.

Quote:
Sometimes I feel that he is trying to have good relations with everyone, even if he doesn't like them.

If I have trouble with someone he will more than likely know, if not it was nothing serious in the first place. Either way I treat everyone with their proper respect and not just because I'm trying to keep everyone happy.

Quote:
High-strung, trigger-happy excuse of a moderator. He shamely abuses his powers and even thinks he's in the right when he does. The nerve!

Win, I am totally sigging that

Quote:

Thank you, very well put.

Quote:
Seems to speak before thinking a lot.

Responding quickly or casually does not mean I have not given the matter some thought. If I come across that way perhaps you should consider it could be the other way around, when I swoop in I have a very good reason and do so consistently. As such maybe you should look for a less swoopable pattern? Lightning doesn't strike out of the blue.

Thanks guys.

Dagoth is still the same desperate and awesome romantic that he's always been. He has a rare and admirable combination of wit and modesty. A great guy to have long and interesting conversations with.
Thank you, don't quite know what to say...

Quote:
Mouse, doesn't show himself too often anymore, runs around a lot but rarely posting, if he does it's either one-liners or huge walls of text(good ones) but where's the middle ground?
Yeah, I know what you mean. I spend a lot of time in my university town where I don't have a lot of access to the internet. Sometimes I log on when I'm there and have access to watch what's been going on in HC and kind of... Usually get hung up on how's it going in religion threads.

So usually I just make a few quick posts and scram. But sometimes inspiration and spare time strike and then I make big posts. It's hard to find a middle ground, you see. There's actually been a while where I didn't post at all, but it's a little better now and I'll try to do more.

Quote:

Wow, I don't think I actually deserve to be "top,"

I usually stay out, though, because some posters work my buttons, but thanks for calling me scholarly.

Cat.  Cat's are friendly creatures, yet prefer to keep their own counsel.  Elegant and serene, only occasionally making their presence felt, but when he does, people take notice.  Dagoth is a considerate poster, a gentle soul and intelligent.  Unafraid to tackle the difficult subjects and always honest and steadfast in his resolve.
Thanks again, but just to show who I am. I just considered replying "I find this difficult to masturbate to." to this, because I would find that hilarious.

Quote:
Fox
Mr Dagoth is shrouded in a cloud of mystery and positiveness, while I don't know much about him, I know that he indeed is worthy of awe. A cool guy that should make more historical threads. Dagoth is cunning like a fox and can only be seen at certain times.

Thank you for commenting on my carthage thread. I don't know if I'll make more. Maybe in the future about Russian history or about Caesar, because I honestly don't know too much else in great detail. I could make the carthage thread, because I had to do papers on Carthage and that's how that started. I'm not a hisorian however, so I don't think it will happen more often.

Except that I did have to do translations of "De Bello Gallico" (about the gallic war), so I think I can talk about that a bit.

Also, there's no need to hold older posters in high regard.
At least, not like "worthy of awe", IMHO.

Dagoth used to be my favorite poster! He topped all lists. I do not see him post a lot now, but I still like him. A big, husky stag.

No problem.

It's kind of who I am, though I think I matured a bit since last year. Though a few months ago I was kind of a wreck, because I wasn't used to working so hard. I'm better now in general. It happens though that I fall down more than others and i'm sorry if that ever put you in an awkward position.

Quote:

Dagoth
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Vokial! Dagoth can come off as one of those girly girls. In reality he is a real man. He have taken his beatings and seems inable to see when his humour is over the line and hurting someone. It is likely due to his young age and he will certainly learn with time. He has not been very active since I joined, but whenever he has shown his face his has gotten a lot of praise.
My advice for Dagoth? It's hard to give advice for someone you barely know. He could try to be a little more active. A lot more caring. Realise that changing behaviour does not change who he is, it is just a symbol of the mutual respect the community is dependent on for surviving.
I see Dagoth as the snake. Very easy going and someone you respect when he's around. Yet when he strikes everyone tries to avoid him. Maybe if he would be more contributing, in stead of complaining about how everyone sucks and tell about the good old days, then the good old days can come back and he would not have to solely be popular due to others fear of him.
I like this comment a lot, since it's detailed.

I also didn't realise I could be an old grump and talk about the glory days. It probably has to do with that a lot of the members who were there when I joined have left and I haven't yet gotten to know the new ones, due to a lot of inactivity on my part (I don't quite know where you can see I miss the glory days. I suspect it's probably when I say things like: "everything was a lot better before elodin got here" or "I miss TD and asheera"). I don't really want to turn into a relic, so I'll try to handle that.

I don't think I can strike really nasty or cast fear into others, though.
Or maybe I do. I used to have a huge load of unnecessary respect for old members and was kind of aggravated when aculias made a playful jibe at me.

Quote:
Aaaah my dearest most beloved Dagoth. Our midnightly or early morning chats are wonderful (and for some reason usually make me want to smoke lol… you’ve just got that vibe man) and it’s always great to have a conversation with you. There is little new I can tell you about you that I haven’t already told you while begging you to go out and date a new girl but why not tell you again? You’re a great guy but why not be a little more outgoing? You’ve nothing to be ashamed of. Live a little. DON’T BE IN LOVE WITH THE SAME GIRL ALL THE TIME MAN! I get the feeling you hold yourself back and I have no idea why you would do that. Don’t be so content get out there and experience new things. Don’t be the owl just sitting there all the wisdom, knowledge and general likeableness in the world aren’t going to do you much good if you don’t go out and explore the world a little besides for your usual hunting trips. Also I know you mostly from outside of HC get back to us a bit more will you? Your wit and insight are richly appreciated.
I'll take this comment to heart.
Though, I'll probably keep on being hung up on that one girl.

Majority says owl, which I get is probably from me being a huge fact-geek most of the time. 2 say chameleon and I agree with that. I usually blend in among a crowd and can shift colours. I see no dog, which is how I would define myself.
Don't know why a rat. Also fond of the stag and shark one.

So, here's the feedback I got:

Quote:
Stag
Jikiiri is nice through and through. Insanely nice. He's not overly hip or witty, but I've always enjoyed his participation in the various creativity-based threads.

Chameleon, he's been around for quite some time and he's online rather much yet he is mostly unknown among most of the users, he could use a little more exposure being the regular good minded user he is

he is very creative and sometimes I love reading his posts, its only that I'm not a member who read long posts often. Also seems like he really enjoy working on his creative posts. The perfect Altar member.Owl.

A subtle presence, friendly and dedicated. I like him

Don’t know much about him, but he’s friendly, he is a Stag.

Makes good posts in the HoMM boards. Spider.

Starts A LOT of competitions! Which brings life to the community, so I guess that's good. I usually do not agree with Heroes ideas (I think that they are often very conservative, which I do not like) but still, he is a very nice poster and I have nothing at all against him. A spider who weavs many creative web.

Weasel.  I don't really know Jiriki.  I had difficulty finding anyone for Weasel, then I realised that weasels are in fact great comic little creatures. Weasels are actually highly social, intelligent and wonderful little balls of fluff.  They also pack a mean mean bite.  But mostly weasels are great fun.  Excitable, funny little things.  From what I can tell, Jiriki is a fun and frolicksome poster.

I honestly don't really know you besides from faction creation contests, where I can say that you impressed me quite a lot. You seem like a nice and cool guy. Wolf

Quite a good creator of games in the coliseum and rather patient, Jikiri 9 is a good sport and can keep a running joke going.
Animal: Rabbit. Nervous and jumps around from thread to thread.

Stag Somehow don't know what to think about him. Very slippery and genuine but sometimes don't seems he responds like someone who lives in this world. He's a very promising person!

Rat
The master of games and competitions, Jiriki is a great poster. He is the kind of guy that you are imaging always have a huge smile on his face. Seems really hard to piss off, which is great. Jiriki is not a rat in a negative sense, no Jiriki is more like a hard working rat that always is occupied with his own business.

A lion! (because I think of the Rakshasas, ironically) Anyway - I think that Jiriki is someone that has great ideas and that really makes HC a better place. I've had laughs with him as well. Many of his threads are really interesting and I think that this is what HC is about. I'll call Jiriki himself "interesting".

Very HOMM-centric, very productive, has good, creative ideas.
Snake

My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Joonas! Who is he? He has so many posts, but I never see him. He seems very nice and friendly. Somehow he's above the entire community, yet he is very well respected. A bit like Joonas, but not as fun to tease though.
My advice? Hard to give any. Maybe create your own fitness center or something?
I see Jiriki as the Lion. The real king of animals. You never see much of him, but whenever he's arond, everyone praises him. Maybe they are afraid they'll get eaten?

Puuuh…I know so little about you. You’re like this avatar of the Altar doing a lot for the place which is certainly appreciated by a lot of people but you have a very low profile outside your natural habitat. I mean you created the Rocking Fork and you have an awesome hairdo so you can’t be a bad guy, I’m sure you’re awesome but outside the Altar and Temple there is little to find that makes you groovy. So you’re a Dolphin when in the water you’re awesome and lively and everything but outside the water you…uh….uhm die? Well ok not the best metaphor but you get it right?

Animals: 3xStag, 2x Spider, 2xLion Chameleon, Owl, Weasel, Wolf, Rabbit, Rat, Snake, Dolphin

I enjoyed reading it quite much! Thanks to all of you!

From emo to happy happy, he seems to be in his own world these days. Hopefully a good one

There is something that reminds me of a cat in his avie... Strange. For Car himself I can't really say much. I had more encounters with him in the past but as far as I remember I didn't have any specific impression of him. I still don't have but since it's not bad I guess that Car is a nice fellow, too.

ARCHENEMY. OOO Nah, just kidding. I guess I have had some conflicts with him and from seeing his pictures in the IRL Photos thread, I do not think that I would get along with him at all in real life. I think were miles apart, but fortunaly that is not really something that has spread to the forums. He's a feral dog to me who really likes to bark out loud.

Rat.  Now Rats are highly intelligent, and social creatures.  Yet people are either afraid of them or revile them.  Carcity rejoices in being seen as an outsider.  His posts are often crazy, yet underneath is a very sensitive, serious yet thoughtful person.

Dolphin Personally I like him even if he sometimes really an annoying emo-boy. His view of life is unique somehow and he brings many interesting experience within his posts.

Can be prone to emotional outbursts at times, but you seem to be more chill lately. There are few things that entertain me as much as when City goes emotion-burst and drops every single piece of logic though, so that's actually negative criticism! I want emo teen City back! I like how you don't mind joking about yourself btw, get the feeling that I can let my guard down when talking to you too. Mouse

Mostly really depressing... Until recently. He has a generally dark view of the world and is a glutton for punishment, but lately he seems to be enjoying life.
Animal: Spider

hard to understand at times, likes making new threads – LION

Carcity's one of those who manages being funny without seeming...unserious...cannot explain it better. it makes some sense somehow...Snake

Stag
This guy is a mystery to me, his posting style and posting frequency differentiate from time to time. I'm still not sure if he likes me or not, or even worse, hates me. Like a Stag, Carcity follows he's own way and doesn't usually interact too much with others.

Carcity
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Ohforf! One of the few people who seems to care. Very insecure. Easy affected by the group mentality. Seems to go through some hard feces in life right now.
My advice? Don't be afraid to admit it, if you suck at something and don't apologise for it. Be a bit more like Ohforf and don't care what others thinks about you, yet take their advice into consideration. It does not mean you have to follow it. Think first what you want, before you start on doing something. Otherwise you might end up unhappy and you can then only blame yourself.
I see Carcity as the mouse. He runs around confused. Trying to fit in. He is not aware that he is the prime meal for most of the others. What can he do? Nothing, the question is, will heroes community learn to respect him for being himself, or will they force him away?

I hardly ever see you around lately unless it’s to find you in the “I’m listening too…” thread posting some sad melodic emo metal My Chemical Romancey piece of music lol. I’m not sure how emo you actually are and whether that’s just an image you enjoy having on here but you seem like a genuinely nice guy. So a mouse… maybe?  Not overly dominant and a bit bipolar ?

I'm actually quite suprised with some of the feedback I've recieved. It was more positive than I thought and I really appreciate it, interesting to know what you guys think of me. Which doesn't seem to be too bad.

Whenever I say that I want to be in this, I dread what the feedback is going to be as I've not been the best poster around for the many years I've been here and I've got a lot of enemies. Having said that, I also like seeing the positives as I myself don't actually see them but I'm glad that others can. So for all of the people that wrote positive stuff about me then I greatly appreciate it and am glad for the fact that some people see me as useful to this place.

Now, with all that in mind, here's my feedback.

Quote:

Rabbit
Basically the same William I've always known. Makes fairly average posts, and pretty vulnerable to insults.

I don't try to go out of my way to make every single post the best one, I say what's on my mind whether people like it or not or whether they think it's a good post or not.

Quote:

rabbit, can't hold his head level at one subject for long enough to have an insightful discussion most of the time but it's worth it because the few times he can he's one of the best guys to talk to around here, seriously cut down his HC time, seemsto have calmed down from his youth times

I admit that it must be frustrating for people talking to me for them to see me get suddenly so angry but I like to think I've improved. I think my few months break helped a bit and with everything going right in my life, I just feel more positive.

Quote:

he is conflicting sometimes. I find it worng that some members don't try to understand him when it happens. He plays the rebel on HC, but he is cool guy. It's only that sometimes he overdo with the rebel thing, and chill out on HC for his RL misfortunes. Chameleon.

I've never liked to really go with the flow, I guess. I just like to do my own thing whether people like it or not (not the anger, that just happens and I regret it as soon as I do it). So I guess I cvan understand the rebel part. The only time I ever really overdo anything is when I get pissed off and, in the past, that was way too much. Like you said, I can overdo it when my real life gets tough and I've been working on that. With everything going right at the moment, I am more positive and happy. I've not lost it once on here yet under this new account and I'm going to do my very best to keep it that way.

Quote:
I'm sorry but I can't say anything about him because I haven't encountered him in HC at all.

I understand. Thanks Brosepi.

Quote:
Also knows as 1910, William has a rather small pool of posts at the moment. The threads that he has made are informative and are there to help improve HC.  (All 2 of them)
Animal: Mouse. As of right now, he is rather silent and in the background.

I think my two threads are among the greatest. Lol. I think the problem I had with my original account was that I was too active and too in the spotlight, so to speak. That was my undoing. I am finding my HC experience right now to be more positive as I'm not responding to every little thing I see and therefore I wouldn't lose it as much.

Quote:
He seems to have mellowed down, he's back in a good mood and positive - for the time being

And I'll be doing my very best to keep it that way.

Quote:
Have not seen him a lot either. Likes music, but not my kind of music. Can't say anything negative about what music he prefers, we all have different prefrences. He seems like a successfull guy IRL though with a girlfriend and all that. A dolphin, slender, free and successful.

Thanks. I'm not successful in that I'm heaps rich but you're right in that I am successful that I do have an amazing girlfriend, have plans for the future and am trying to get a job with my music and all. So with all that, I am very happy.

Quote:
Got some angry issues, but he’s improved lately, and is a pretty okay fellow, although I wish he’d be more open about accepting other’s opinions, in music for example, where he can be quite stubborn at times. He get’s to be a Weasel.

I don't like Weasels. But yeah, I know I have to improve when I discuss music and accepting other people's opinions. I'm quite strong with musical discussion so for me to be better at it then I have to stop being some kind of elitist where only my music is good.

Quote:
Wolf.  Solitary and not needing any back up from anyone.  William is combative but never spiteful.  His legendary short fuse however is actually a gift.  Unafraid to tackle anyone, William can be relied on to bite and savage any flagrant insult and thoughtless post, by anyone.  He never takes sides and shoots from the hip.  Also a great poster regarding music and his knowledge thereof.

Thanks. I never saw my short fuse as a gift but you're right in that I will tackle anybody, regardless of who they are or what they've said and I'll try my best to come out on top. I try not to take sides for the most part, like you said. I mean, if I find someone to be a good friend on here and they say something wrong then I won't be afraid to say that they are. Just who I am but I don't see that as a bad thing really. Thanks about the music part as well, whoever you are.

Quote:
a great friend to have as he cares about people and their feelings, composses great music, funny – EAGLE

Thanks to whoever you are. I'll always try to care about my friends and I always try to make time for them and if they need to vent then I am always there.

Quote:
Our resident, raging Australian; hasn't been around too much, as far as I know (but then, neither have I, so I shouldn't judge); has had some falling outs and some fights here in HC, which could have been prevented, if some self-restraint was exercised. He's still part of HC and I always like reading what he has to say, even if it's something like "that idea is retared, mvass." Rat.

I've been around but like somebody said above, been hiding in the background a bit. I was also away for the first 3 months of this year as my girlfriend was staying with me so I didn't have the time to really post here or be considered as active. I think all my fights could have been prevented, however, I think they were good as it made me realise where I'm going wrong and what I need to change.

Quote:
Mouse Absolutely don't know him. Read only a few of his posts but seems an interesting person

Just message me then and talk to me.

Quote:
Nice posts usually. Never seen something offensive from him, which is a plus. (but maybe I just wasn't there) ANIMAL: Mouse

I have been offensive in the past with somebody I haven't agreed with but yeah, you may not have been there.

Quote:
You're hilarious, I like you. Especially when you go into RIGHTEOUS FURY mode and can't see all the trolls in the bushes Weasel

Thanks mate. Whoever you are.

Quote:
Hawk
Don't know william very well, which makes me come to this conclusion that he should post more together with noobs! Seems to be a poster that rather post about serious stuff instead of fooling around. William is like a Hawk as he seems to like to keep a distance.

Oh dear god, not noobs. I try to get the best of both worlds with being serious and fooling around but I don't think that I'm that funny on a forum. A lot of people have said I'm funny but that's usually when I talk to them on MSN or something so yeah. I don't like keeping a distance but I think it's better for me for the meantime.

Quote:
He's matured a lot and isn't as angry as he used to be. A positive development. Unfortunately, he hasn't been posting as much. Judging from the RL photos thread, he really needs a haircut. Shark.

Sharks are awesome. My hair is awesome but I will be getting it cut for you soon so at least eyes won't bleed when I post another picture.

Quote:
William
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Meroe! I did never spoke a lot with William. I have heard many bad things about him. What I see now is much better. Still he seems to succumb to group mentality in the bad way. Learn from Meroe and follow the group by directing the group. Make the group focus on things that are nice. Like you say you are. In stead of be the groups own little nude barbarian slave boy.
My advice for William? Contribute some more. In stead of complaining about others lack there of. Make some threads about stuff that interests you. Actually make some work and share it with the community. Be more light and friendly. Drop the many many smileys. Seems too attached to heroes community. I suggest taking a break.
I see William as the Dog. He's loyal, and you can trust him, just like the dog. But he also have the bad sides. He will do a lot to keep his owners happy, even if that means making other people unhappy. He is very protective. Much too protective. He is like the dog that barks whenver he sees something, scaring good people away.

I wouldn't say I succumb to group mentality really. I've always liked to think I'm my own person and I say what I want and do what I want, whether right or wrong. I'm trying to do more rights. What is this little nude barbarian slave boy? I have a feeling who you are by having said that.

What interests me is music and I've tried to contribute that on the forum and gotten a QP for one of my posts and I try to post my songs on here but nobody really seems to be interested. I would love to discuss sport but I doubt anybody would like to do that. So I try my best to say what I can in what I'm interested more and I realise that it's wrong of me to tell others off for not contributing enough when I also don't do the same.

I don't understand how I try to keep others happy? I mean, I'm loyal but I wouldn't say I'm especially protective unless I find somebody to be out of order towards somebody I care about. Thanks for what you wrote anyway. Oh and I apologise about the many smilies. It's just a habit.

Quote:
You’re such a cool guy and I’m so happy for you that your life is going well for you. I hope your get your account back soon man it’d feel right. You’ve got a looong and big HCtory (amazing pun I know right?) which kinda seems like a burden from time to time but I’m sure all of us (well apparently not all but I’m sure you can live with the odd exception here or there) can tell you’ve changed. You’ve got strong opinions about things which is most certainly something I can relate to but you’ve become a lot more restraint in your answers. Sometimes you seem to get into a few debates simply because it may be genetically ingrained after your long time here to say “lol mvass that’s wrong” or something along those lines. But I really can’t take that as a negative point since I love it when you do that^^. I’m happy for you hope you’ll stay with us for a long while even after your 5th goodbye thread or rant about how HC is going down. You’re a Stag very proud and at times very lonewolfish (ignore the obvious oxymoron here) on the fora but a sight to behold when you’re there for us.

I'm trying to get my account back but it's just that Val is busy and all. I hope he's working on it though as I'd love to be able to post on my original account. Yes, I've been told a lot that I've changed and I'm glad because I've tried my hardest to be more calm and positive. I guess when my real life is going well then it spills onto here as well and that's a good thing.

Well I could become less restrained and more strong like I usually am. I haven't changed that anywhere else but HC as I thought it was a problem on here. Yeah, I'll also be here for a long while yet. Thanks whoever you are.

-----

So just want to say thanks for the feedback and all. If you don't really know much about me then just talk to me. I'm usually always here anyway. Thanks all.

I had the hardest time saying something about this person.  He's definitely nice and respectful, but also a bit... transparent?  He's been posting for such a short time yet I feel like I've already completely figured him out.

Hehe Somebody figure me out quickly but somebody more slowly! Trust me when I say that I could surprise you very much if I want!

Duke is a Lion, proud, strong and sure of himself.

Wow Thanks! BTW I'm most of time very unsure of myself

Honestly and frankly! That's soooo nice to hear! I really feel myself better just to read this, thanks so much!

Quote:
Don't know him much but he gives good vibes, seems a nice guy.

Well, thanks! Try to remain that, promise!

Quote:
Well a hawk isn't exactly a Falcon but it's good enough. I have respect for Duke due to his knowledge in Latin and he's a nice fellow to talk with. I don't really have a specific word which to use for him but I think that "nice" might fit perfectly.

Thank you so much! It's a honour to know you, M'lady!

Thanks! Means much for me that I got so many positive feedback!

Quote:
Dragon-Hippe, your manliness is undone! Haha, anyway, you're a nice guy, kinda too nice around the women maybe... like you wanna play a manly guardian role or something. Doesn't really work out well imo Hawk

I just try to grow up for my heritage! You know it's really hard to be a noble sometimes...
And about the dragons... I try to breed a Hyper dragon which is invulnerable to everything, can be damaged only by black-hole-torpedos+99! After I breed that monster I give it to Adrius to slay down in the name of Khorne!(like a birthday present or something)

Quote:
Rabbit
The Duke is kinda moderate, a good poster that sometimes can post a little bit too much, that however isn't necessarily bad. He just need to think about where he is doing it. By posting like he does, he contributes to HC in a way that few others do, and what makes him great. Duke_Rabbit hides in a hole in the ground ready to pop out any second to do some spamming, he's adorable.

Ooooow! I like to be adorable because women likes adorable things! And I like women, so it works rather well I think BTW thank you your really nice words, I'll apreciate them!

My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Jiriki! He joined long ago, but first when the levels of ostrogen increased, did his activity follow suit. He seems like an okay guy. A bit too serious, but can accept others for who they are. What happened to him though? Where is he now?
My advice for Duke_Falcon. Create some more topics, share your knowledge and tell us about the stuff that interests you. Right now you have a lot of posts, but who are you? Be more like Jiriki. He, like you, seems never present, but he is still somehow unique and well liked.
I see Duke_Falcon as the Wolf. He only sticks to his pack and like a Wolf you can't tell him apart. When the hunt is on, he's a major contributer to the community, but he seems to dependent on others for the hunt to be successful.

Thinking about new topics but haven't got any good ideas so far. But won't give up! And it's good to running with the pack!

Quote:
You sir I have like no clue about. You seem really lively and all happyish which is most certainly something I approve of but besides that theres nothing I know about you. Spread that spirit around my brother HC can always do with it and perhaps itll help me find out who you actually are since Im not in the glade anymore to find out there. So youre perhaps a Hawk? Because you simply sit on a observation point and make your presence known only when you leave that point to swoop something up somewhere else and then disappear again.

Yeah, I'm like a hawk (or a Timelord - sworn to watch but never interfere?) and prefer to watching and learning before I "swoop". This is how I handle the real life itself (which maybe isn't the best way sometimes).

My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Evinin! He is very contributing. And he does not seem to want anything in return. Yet he sees himself as part of the community and thinks his opinion matters before he's even asked for it. This is a good and a bad thing. He should learn that if he sees something he does not like, either go private or stay away. Sadly he seems so robotic. He should learn from Evinin, get the emotions going, without on the same time showing complete control. Don't be so submissive as you are in osm, say your opinion and if people don't like it, tough luck! Don't follow the group mentality and bash Elodin all the time.
My advice for Adrius? You are amazing at what you do, still you do not seem aware of the talents you have. Remember heroes community is only for your amusement, it should always at most only be second priority. Focus on what you are good at and do not only share your great gifts with heroes community, but with the entire world.
I see Adrius as the Owl. Wise and intelligent. Yet like the owl, he seems secluded. Why is he even here when he is so much better than the rest of us? We must have something he likes, and it is rats and mice.

Man I gotta take care of this one in parts, hold on:

I don't consider myself submissive at all really, I just don't see any advantages in conflict. Getting someone aggravated might make it easier for you to "win" a discussion, but it won't help the other part to reach any sort of insight.

I bash Elodin? Huh... nah sorry can't relate.

You are amazing at what you do, still you do not seem aware of the talents you have. Remember heroes community is only for your amusement, it should always at most only be second priority. Focus on what you are good at and do not only share your great gifts with heroes community, but with the entire world.

Why thank you, I would've loved if you would've told me about these talents that I am not aware of.

Alright, next one.

Quote:
Haaha I love this guy^^.  EPIC sense of humor and a smart guy overall there is very little to not like about you…which is perhaps the only thing to “critize” about you. Apart from your awesomeness, goodnaturedness (THAT IS A WORD!) and sense of humor there’s nothing I could immediately think of that makes you you. Now those are already splendid things to be associated with and you’re not bland by any stretch of the word but perhaps a bit more profile? Take a stance on things you have opinion on. So people can go “Aaah so that’s his opinion on x” you’re very timid and vague in the osm as far as I can tell when I’m sure you don’t have to be. You’re a smart guy afterall. I think your lack of edges is deliberate by you not because you want to be popular or anything but perhaps because you don’t want to fight? I’m not sure why but I’m pretty sure you’re doing it on purpose. I’d go with Dog because you’re really awesome and lively and everything but like a dog that’s sometimes all I can associate with you until you stop being a dog and become that one dog. Know what I mean?

First off, thank you.

Yeah, it's on purpose, I'm aware of it.

When I'm in the OSM it's mostly because I'm curious about someone else and what they think, rather than trying to get my point through I'm trying to make them realize things about themselves. I sometimes simply don't see a need to take a stance.

I could elaborate... but there's a certain scheme behind the way I act that I would rather not unveil... it would lose its effectiveness that way (+ it makes me all mysterious and ****, can't you feel your interest for me just increasing by the second?!)

Jabanoss is abnormally normal. Extremely normal. He's always been a great and fun guy and he just blends in perfectly with the forum; being  highly involved in many different subsections.

Fox, quite witty person who assimilated into the crowd in quite a short time, fast on his wits,:grood:

You're a cool guy, fits right into the HC crowd. You seem to be online like, always, do you ever sleep? Not that I mind being subjected to your awesomeness 24/7 of course...  Man it's hard to give feedback to the people I like the most, defining awesomeness is hard work.  Eagle

creative new member, it he stick here for long he is going to be an integral part of the community, he is both funny and fresh, a bit mor maturity is needed, he will gain it with the time. Dog.

I like him! Active poster in my favorite forums, has some very interesting creative ideas et cetera. Oh, I almost forgot about the swedish part. For some reason, Jabanoss reminds me of a seagull but since that isn't an option, I will go with Hawk.

Monkey is the thing that's closest to Jaba (not only to his avatar). I think that Jaba is rather fun and amusing but sometimes I get annoyed by some of his posts. I can't give an example but I really do feel annoyed by him sometimes. Otherwise I'm ok with him.

That's what I call one heck of a newbie to regular transition. Friendly energetic chap that is fun to have around.

Chameleon.  Jaba fits in with everyone.  Helpful, friendly, approachable, a really delightful individual.  Nothing appears too much hassle.  Really pleasant guy

helpful caring, knowledgeable – OWL

Spider He is a good and kind person who made many funny and laughterfull moments for me with his comments! A real troll in his hearth he sometimes do very good trollings...

Creative, fun, enthusiastic, optimistic.  ANIMAL: Dog

An easy to get along with person. Jaba never seems to get mad, and takes time to consider what he is going to say or do.
Animal: Eagle.

I remember he got a lot of attention when he joined, but he still hasn't made much of an impression on me. Fox.

Don’t know much about him, he’s a nice guy, doesn’t spam as much as the other newbies, but pretty funny. He’s a Rat.

Jaba - apparently, a very active member, but he operates largely outside my territory, where he seems to do good work. Humble, as far as I reckon. Weasel

Jaba
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Bboy! He is very gentle. Seems to be impossible to make upset. Sadly he has gone from awesome to another +1 poster. At least he tries his best on taking part and does not seem to follow the group in any bad ways. He took so many first spots. Now even in posts he's loosing to Gnomes of all people. In the future he will be just like Bboy, the sad troll that tries to make everyones life miserable for his own fun.
My advice? Don't go the path of bboy. Make more topics in the osm. Be yourself again like you were when you joined.
I see Jabanoss as the shark. He used to be awesome, then came the Dolphin and made him look silly.

Jaba is a cool guy even though you lied to me about your star craft II skills you basterd! But I can forgive that considering how much life and activity you bring to the forum. You’ve established yourself on here in no time at all it’s almost scary. You contribute wherever you go and have a way about you that makes you really likeable (except for when you wipe the floor with me and then tell me you still had 7 bases just in case T_T).  You’re a bit like a young lion that was timid at first but after being accepted by the seniors you instantly took your place. Perhaps rebel a little more occasionally and make sure people still know jaba is jaba so you don’t fade into just being a face in the crowd.
Animals: 2xChameleon, 2xFox, 2xEagle, 2xDog, Hawk, Monkey, Owl, Spider, Rat, Weasel, Shark

end of quote

Well this was a nice read, that's for sure.
I can start by giving huge thanks to the people who seems to enjoy my presence. THANKS!
I'm really glad, I love this place so it good to know that this place loves me.

About me being annoying, I'm a very impulsive person so a lot of my comments might be a bit random. In any case I'm fairly sure I know what you mean, I have been trying to be a bit more thoughtful about what I write.

Some people seem to think I've had a decline in posting quality, or rather that I'm no longer as "unique" as I used to be. I definitely know what you are talking about. Back in my glory days, good ole' Nightterror functioned as a catalyst for me and my posting style. So naturally, since she has retreated a bit, I have suffered in the process.
However there are also other explanations such as me wanting to please everyone and avoid offending anyone. So there have been many times lately where I have decided not to posting certain things that could be anything from jokes to just small comments. Next time that happens, I know that I should ask myself if I can either improve that which I have written or if I just should posting as it is, knowing that at least someone will appreciate it.

I'm not surprised that I got so many different animals. I consider myself a varied person and that would certainly explain why many people associate me differently with animals.

Once again, thanks to all for taking the time to write about me, it's much appreciated.

Edit:
And hey there are many times when I'm not around, but yeah I'm online pretty often. What can I say, I spend a lot of time in front a computer whether I'm at school or not.

Btw it sounds like someone is mad because I'm such a beast at Starcraft 2.

Very unimpressionable seeing as how he's not hardly active. Can be very abrasive when he posts. ;
many defined him as annoying in the past, but I don't think he ever was. He doesn't much outside, at least I think he does not. He doesn't make the best posts, but for some reason I fell him like nice part of the community and it won't be full without him.
Shark - he is going to like it

Is he still the same guy? He's changed a lot since he joined - mostly for the better. Much better than Darkshadow and no longer lame. Should post more. Weasel.

"He doesn't much outside" - okay, don't get what that means

Okay but needs to stop quoting posts that are directly above. That's annoying. Don't see him much anymore, unfortunately.

Oh you

Quote:
Cannot really say something now, sorry, don't really have 'em in my head^^ ANIMAL: Spider
Seems a sensitive fellow, sometimes too much for his own good hard to tell since I don’t see him around anymore.

You, Yes you! Right now a Rhinoceros will break down your computer and eat all your cucumbers!

Quote:
I barely know who he is. Where does he post? I have nothing for or against him, since he's so unknown to me. He's a mouse to me. Hard to see and doesn't make much noise.

I can sometimes be spotted in the VW

Quote:
Shark.  Sharks swim beneath you.  The victim never knows what hits them ... and then ... dead, bit in two.  Darkshadow rarely plays with his food.  Instead he prefers to surface in a flash, chomp down on the unsuspecting and disappear before anyone really knows what happens.  A great sarcastic humor.
I'm sorry but I can't anything about him because I haven't encountered him in HC at all
He’s in it a bit too much with weapons and conspiracy theories, other than that he’s cool. He get’s to be the Fox.
Good to see him still around, despite him having left for the FFL (???), DS is just DS; eh's a pretty cool guy. He scolds ohforf and doesn't afraid of anything; Well, he's a good guy (not in a moral sense or anything), but pretty much a non-entity nowadays.
Wolf

Can't see the line between the posts, sorry.

I didn't leave for the FFL yet because of problems in back home.

Quote:
Oh you're here? Huh, haven't seen you around so much lately. Ah well, let's see... hmm... well ok your quite apparent dislike for non-European immigrants and your proposed solution to this "problem" (preferably nukes from orbit if I recall correctly) kinda pisses me off sometimes. That's all I can think of really. Cat.

Obvious sarcasm was not so obvious

Quote:
Well, why weasel? Cause weasels like dark shadows! Don't know him enough to comment his manners so maybe after some more time in Sociogram III?

Quote:
Spider
Doesn't post very often, but when he does it's very funny and spot on. Like a spider, lurking in the shadows, not emerging very often.
I honestly can't find too much on this poster, but what I have seen is a man who doesn't take very much seriously unless he is expected to.

It's the internets, it be serious business

Quote:
Animal: Peacock. He likes to strut his stuff.
My second farvorite user, only exceeded by Selcy! He seems so very stuffy, that I thought he was an Asheera alt. Can't break free of that shell. He has been at heroes community for so many years and still he is not a real part of the community. His username fits perfectly. He is truely like a shadow. But is that all he wants? Just being the guy on the other side of the window, looking at the cool kids play? He does seem very friendly when you get to know him. But you will never have him admit it. He has probably lived a tough life. Does he even play heroes of might and magic?
My advice for Darkshadow? Stay around a little more. Engage more with the new blood. No doubt you have a lot to offer. Don't think you're alone against the world. You can be funny, I have seen it, let others see it as well. Finally, try to avoid give in to the group mentality. You often seem eager to follow the herd, try to learn from selcy and be more considerate of other people, if you let the world not only be about you, maybe others will let you be part of their world as well.
I see Darkshadow as a Peacock, a Peacock that never shows it beauty. He needs to spread out those tail feathers and show to the world that he's a serious part of it! Otherwise he will always just be Darkshadow, no ones farvorite.

Group mentality? whaat? At the start I came to the forums just for Heroes but the game got old. try not to mind the "alone against the world" thing, that runs in the family

Quote:
You’re like the invisible man of HC I hardly ever see you. Maybe it’s because you’ve lost interest in this community or because you’re busy I don’t know either way I think it’s sad since you’re a very unique person. You’ve come a long way since you’ve joined and occasionally you show up with a nice post here or there but that’s it. There is precious little to judge you by all. You still seem like a bit of a militaryfanboy (or weapon all the same to me) and conspiracynalist (that’s not a word is it..?) but in a charming and not all up in your face kind of way. I’d say you’re a rat in the sense that one knows you’re around but never really finds you and you’re very clever at picking out when to show up and what to say.

Animals: 2x Shark, 2xWeasel, 2xSpider, 2xPeacock, 2xRat, Mouse, Fox, Wolf, Cat, Hawk

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I left most blank cause I wanted to generally adress them down here.

First off, I am not that active anymore cause I don't really have anything to add to the current threads. But once H6 hits I promise I will write the ultimate guide to Necropolis , I have been considering a story thread for the Tavern but dunno will that ever happen. For some reason I do feel disconnected to HC

On my posts I don't really see them as funny but I guess thats cause im quite cynical.

It does seem some of the poster don't really know me (Brb gonna fix dat).

Some of you seem to think im into conspiracies and I really dont know why :?

(Btw, are the animal counts distributed quite evenly or what?).
