isn't it subjective? I mean, for a Pole, every word in Polish is "pronounced the way it's written".. but somehow people of other countries can't even mimic our pronunciation  if they don't have a similar pronunciation, that is.
so I think it's subjective for each nation/ethnic group/whatever.

I don't know about Polish, but lets take English: You don't pronounce "peasant" by pronouncing "P", "e", "a", etc... and in fact, "pleasant" is pronounced completely different only because it has an "l" there.
In Romanian there are no exceptions like these. In fact, I can read EVERY name (including mvassilev, which some members (Lexxan) said it's very hard to pronounce in their language) in Romanian perfectly fine.

There's a good reason that not everyone wants to learn Esperanto: because it sucks. Interlingua is a lot better.

Heh? I though Pleasant and Peasant are pronounced Identically. There IS a difference between pleasant and Plea.

 I said I found Mvassilev difficult to pronounce ? Where did I said that? I do have troubles with Eugen and Cepheus, because I'm inclined to pronouce them the Dutch way (what I actually do )
