If you can't give a damn about copyrights then you are in no position to judge the subject I'm afraid. Sadly TV is both good and bad, as u all well know, the problem of exposing the children to the TV is that:
A: As already said there is inappropiate things that they can watch there (For example, Pornoghraphy, Violent Movies and such)
B: Sadly even TV can be addicting so to much TV can lead to that need to watch "just a show more" that's maybe the number 1 danger with the TV.
and lastly C: TV-shows that's suppossed to be approriate to children is often not, sure they can have a good time BUT in a normal children/early teen-show there's often much violence, also it feels like many TV-shows dedicated tro kids have dislodged from the "learning" that was common before and has gone to super humans and stuff that's I think is downrigth ridicilus to show kids....

as usual the contests start when i'm offline T_T
I think it's better to have an TV. why? because tv helps children extend their imagination. Now i see children talking about fireballs and know a lot of english from tv (skelelele *whistle*) and when i was at their age i didn't know who is britney spears . because tv wasn't in my every-day activities. and i'm happy that now they know what i didn't at my age.although you can easily remove the brutal (and) sex channels from the tv.
