How can you maximize the effects of Emapthy?
Easy. I have a verry big morale (or a verry bad one, if we're talking about the other extremity). Even more, since the hero gains as a bonus a percentage of his Initiative, anothr way to maximize the effects of the perk is to have a big Initiative.

No, mathematically he acts the same.
A creature with 5 initiative acts twice as slow as a creature with 10 init.
A creature with 10 initiative acts twice as slow as a creature with 20 init, not 15 
so the "difference" (in 'effect') between 20&10 is the same as 10&5.
Moral for those not mathematically inclined: the system works multiplicatively, as a ratio, not as a difference (subtraction).
20/10 = 2
10/5 = 2

Mouse. Though they don't really live underground, but honestly, try to play heroes without one
2) What is earthquake effective at destroying?
War machines, town walls and towers, including the gate, excluding the moat.

4) Ways to prevent a shooter from using his ranged attack?
Place a unit near him (including with Teleport), Puppet an enemy unit near him, Puppet him, Blind him, Frenzy Him, Reduce his ATB in various ways (Wasp Swarm, Master of Ice & Lightning effects, etc), Kill him (), Summon Blade Barrier or Arcane Crystal near him, Cast Expert Confusion on him, Take all his shots with the Poltergeist (if the enemy has no Ammo Cart), Move him near one of your units/Blade Barrier/Arcane Crystal in various ways (with Harpooner, ArchDemon, Arcane Archer, etc), Going Invisible with all your units and make sure you have no War Machines so that it cannot shoot anymore
5) How can a hero achieve a spell effect without casting?
Imbue Arrow and then attack normally with Deadeye Shot or use Rain of Arrows or Ballista attacks with Imbue Ballista ability.
Also when Helmar's specialty triggers, or when you cast a Light Magic spell with Freyda (Divine Vengeance is cast on a random enemy creature - a spell effect in addition to the one you cast)
Also the Hive "casts" using Hero's spellpower, etc, and having the whole Dwarven Artifact Set will cast some spells at the start of the battle.
There's also Lethos' specialty, and Weakening Strike ability.
12) How can you maximize the effects of empathy?
- Having big Morale (it doesn't matter how now, right? It's too much to list...)
- Having a big initiative with your creatures to trigger as much morale as possible
- Having as many creature stacks as possible. This includes the Artificial Glory perk AND being in a Siege with ALL War Machines (+Catapult)

- Having as many creature stacks as possible. This includes the Artificial Glory perk AND being in a Siege with ALL War Machines (+Catapult)
- Have a lot of summoned creatures AND gated creatures AND summoned Pit Lords (which in turn summoned other Pit Lords) from a 3x3 duel, from 2 heroes, and you having 7 stacks of Blood Furies with 2 Ring of Speed and Mass Haste and initiative boosters.

Dragons getting lucky strike, chain breath (against ALL enemy stacks) and destroying VERY MANY Arcane Crystals in the process, which in turn destroy many stacks of summoned & gated creatures. Also destroys Phantom Forces of very high numbers (is that considered high damage?).

2) Town Walls, Towers, Gate, Blade Barrier, and creatures when you have the Tremors ability (and Arcane Crystal?)
3) Fire Trap, Earthquake's damage with Tremors ability (the damage to creatures), Blade Barrier, Arcane Crystal
