Those bloody Brits stole it from us if anything, the triskelion as a symbol of Sicily dates back from the Magno-Greek period, which is from even before that little island had dwellers capable of architecture.
It has always been an important part of our heritage, that's no surprise that we adopted it on our flag when we kicked the French from Sicily.
While the Isle of Man has no such history, and the origins of this coat of arms are shrouded in mystery.
Heck, one theory says it's because an English prince was promised the throne of Sicily.
And by the way, that is the flag of the former greatest country in the whole universe.

That is correct.
Even though that had another flag.
That is the flag we had during the Sicilian Vespers to be exact. The flag of the kingdom of The Two Sicilies, is incredibly more complicated.
If you compare it to the flag of Piedmont you can see why we were better.
