It only gets better too Ves, The Song of Ice and Fire books are some of my faves, I like reading George Martin, he isnt afraid to let the bad guys win. Intriguing political stuff.
Btw, 3 new books coming out very soon, starting with A Feast for Crows

a little trivia
it's a small world, reguarding Steven Eriksons "Malazan: Book of the fallen" if i recall correctly, the third book in the series is firehouse gates? erikson was in winnipeg when he wrote the book, as a matter of fact, his favorite coffe hangout was a small restaurant in a mall called Pizza Place. guess who used to work at this restaurant? why our very own syren of the homm world herself, Pandora. Even wierder, pans hubby, Yawacko, his sister was also employed at the joint as well as my own sister in law, both of who are mentioned in the in the books openning credits along with the staff of the restaurant. Also i agree, george r. martin and eriksen both are great authors and i never miss any of there stuff, not sure about hobs, but another great pure fantasy author is david gemmel, well chat ya later

yea feast of crows coming soon, but he has been writing on it for the last 4 years, so you cant really expect the 2 books after that to come "very soon"?

Hi everyone, a google search for my old alias brought up this thread. It's nice to be remembered in (mostly) such good light.
I'd love to have a game or two of homm 3 for old time's sake, though I should point out I'm a shadow of my former self

Good to hear about an old veteran coming back, but I would like to ask you a question, Nemesis...
What religion do you preach that allows women to be "priestesses" and get married?
Back when I was religious, Catholics didn't let women become priests and they didn't let priests or nuns get married, either...AND they sure as heck aren't going to be changing any of those rules any time soon, now that Bennedict-the-strict is at the reigns.

though ill happily put you beyond any doubt by killing you off at a random map.
Oh and btw, these days there are map templates. Something that sets the standard for the random maps, if you even know what a random map is?
