Well most of the fun I've had in MYT was due to the lack of anonymity. If voting hadn't been out in the open in the past there would have been no "Vote for Wobblegabblechunks!" campaign.
Another Possible Idea:
Squatting - Each turn players may "Squat" on a single thread owned by another player in addition to his or her normal turn moves.
Thread Limits - People are limited to owning a certain number of threads. If at the end of any round should a player own more than that number of threads, he or she must relinquish control of his or her excess threads. When a thread is relinquished, the player who has been squatting on that thread for the most consecutive turns will win the thread.

In the past, MYT voting wasn't anonymous to make sure RSF doesn't vote with all 6 accounts. Or however many it was he had.

No, I meant that the entries are anonymous, but the voters should say what they vote for (not a poll)
Like: I vote for A (instead of I vote for Baklava)

I will create a thread in Volcanic Wastelands with all of the entries. Then people will vote right out in the open by posting for the one they choose.
The elements of this game involve diplomacy, anonymity takes away from the interaction.
Don't think this is a pure contest game. It's meant to be an off the wall goofy contest thread that isn't always fair. By all means play dirty. Imagine that you are a politician. If it means packing the books to win the vote, then do it.
Feel free to encourage people to vote for your thread. You may donate threads to other players so that they will vote for you. You can also get people to change their vote by doing this.
On a final note, entrants may vote. That means yes you can vote for yourself. Some players have lost because they failed to vote for themselves.

Well, both variants have been tried out in the past, but I think this time we're keeping anonymity on the bench. For one thing, it would pose unnecessary restrictions on what people can put in their entries, as well as about what kind of contest can be designated.

Woock lured me out of my cave with promises of sweet MYT goodness, and seeing as I've been a good boy this term (for once; I think it's a first) and read all that I'm supposed to read when I'm supposed to read it -- meaning I've got a lot of time on my hands before exams -- I believe I shall join you ladies and gentlemen.
I do, admittedly, have erratic Internet habits, so people set to contest me will probably find themselves winning on walk-overs a lot, but hey, who cares about winning, right? This is all about shoving thy neighbours' faces down into the mud! 
Also, no to anonymity, and yes to trusting RSF to not be overly abusive of his powers.
