[AllExtensions]Icons Quality Improved
Hi !
Have you already noticed that the icons of TotE and HoF are far more precise and nicer than the normal game one ?
I made a MOD that corrects this horror. Watch the difference !
->I swear I didn't blur more the original icons. They are as horrible as that in the game.
Look at "After" for a while, and you will notice much more details than in the blury "Before".
BEFORE - AFTER
INSTALLATION :
1.x & 2.x : Extract directly in your Maps\ folder, and change the extension .h5u by .h5m.
3.x : Extract directly in your UserMODs\ folder.
Creatures icons (NCFBank)
Heroes icons (Mediafire)
UPDATE : Heroes icons MOD now compatible with the MOD "Heroes of Ashan". Follow the instruction scripted into the readme.txt file.

Warmonger, look better the difference between the after-before. You'll see.
The orcs, the dwarves and the neutrals brought with HoF have already HD icons, but not the older. Look in your game the difference between the simple Succubus and the Seducer Succubus.
I did'nt sharpen anything, oonly tell the CreatureVisuals to use the 128*128 pictures only, and close the tags

Not bad... but not necessary. Just my opinion, of course. Something I'd be more interested in would be adding those small black borders to the HoF creature icons and Fortress heroes... they look so out of touch.

Finally! I guess other people didn't have this problem, likely it's attributed to the resolution at which they run the game. I've been running it at 1680x1050 and the fact that the old icons were mushy and disgusting compared to the new ones pissed me off!
Now I know this is being needy and evil, mainly since I could do this myself but would rather not, but is it possible for you to make a mod that does the same thing for the old hero portraits and town icons?

Yes, I can do something. I'll release a kind of patch applied to this MOD.
But now i have no time, maybe in two or three hours.

btw TSoD, I see in your screenshots that the icons have a background. I know of that MOD, but does this 'blur' happen only with the MOD?
