Please, keep me in your thoughts
Over the past couple of months, my company has been talking about pay cuts, loss of benefits, and of course permanent lay-offs. All of this because of the current status of the economy.
Well, today we finally found out what all this talk was leading up to.
Over 75 people lost their jobs today.
Me included.
They're continuing my benefits for a month and offering me a severance package for my years of service. It just sucks to be unemployed. I'm gonna have to re-tool my resume again, start filling out applications, and overall hope I get a new job.
That's why I'm posting this here. I'm asking that you guys keep me in your thoughts. If you're religious, pray for me. If not then please keep your fingers crossed.

I must visualize this song with a black man I met because he taught this to me, it calls upon the guardians of fourtune to call upon the key holders, and if you can visualize a black guy with big glasses, tall, greying hair, with old school appearance from the hard bronx or something, maybe it will help.. This same song also signifies trouble, danger, etc

Look at this as an opportunity. It's a chance to evaluate your skills, potential and interests. You can build on your experience, move in a parallel direction into something new but still benefits from your experience, or go in a completely new direction.
You've exchanged stable and known for the unknown. But you also have endless opportunities.
Do you have confidence in your skills and abilities? If you believe in yourself, so will the person who interviews you.

Damn crisis.
No reason to lose hope though, you're young and experienced. I'm sure you'll get a new job soon enough.
Just remember there are people on the opposite side of the globe crossing fingers for you. How many unemployed people can say that?

The economy is getting slightly better. It's a hard time. I know our president is doing what he can.
At least you dont live here with The Governator 
Are we that far in crisis that he has to take mon ey away from us  .
Example car insurance.
Say for yrs you pay 300 for insurance. he doubled it.
Now you pay 600.
Own a RV which cost 1000 dllars a month. Make it 2 thousand.
He is just taking money from us. If anything us the hard working people who are making less money now & losing jobs need it more then ever.

MightyMage, if people who've only seen you in video format while making delicious soup are awestruck by how awesome you are - certainly anyone sitting face to face with you over an interview will be unable to resist hiring you 
You have so many great qualities that anyone would be a fool not to hire you.
You can use me as a reference if they don't mind calling Canada - i won't even tell them that you like to hang up on people for no reason at all

I headed up the quality control team at Technicolor's Custom Packaging plant. The plant put together DVDs and video games and also a lot of the big displays you see in the stores. My job was to communicate back and forth between the customers and Technicolor and make sure all their demands were being met.
