As I see that Balrog hunting has become quite popular way of entertainment not only for me, but for several other ToHers, may be its time for a little tourney to determine da best Balrog Hunter in the ToH? 
Idea Of The Tournament
"Balrog Hunt" is the type of tournament that some time ago were hold in the ToH under the name "Mapmaster" - all games in the tourney should be played on one particular map, "Twilight World".
Map For The Tournament
Twilight World (ver.1.7) If both players agree, it is permitted to use earlier versions of the map.

Format Of The Tournament
1. Tournament will happen in two stages - preliminary group round and playoffs.
2. During preliminary rounds there are two groups of 4 or 5 players per group. In each group everyone plays with everyone one game.
3.Groups are:
 Group A:
Fraudatio
DrOwnage
Jinxer
Fiur
Bala Car
Group B:
Elit
Willgefors
Lord Michal
Destro
4. Final ranking in the group is determined by the number of wins. If two players has same number of wins, the decisive factor is the win in the game between them. If three players has same number of wins, their final rank is decided by playing 3-way game on map "Rat Race".
6. Two best players from each group advance to playoff stage, where they meet 4 players that have wild cards directly to playoff round (Strider, Towerlord, Kispagat, Zilo).
7. Winner of each preliminary round group can choose one from two wild card players he wants to play with in 1/4 finals (Towerlord or Strider for winner of the group A and Kispagat or Zilo for winner of the group B).
Reporting System
All reporting will be done through ToH forums in a separate report thread (here).
Basic Rules:
1. Both players can choose starting town/hero.
2. There are no restarts and no reloads - this is suicide world, folks
3. Game settings:
- time limit for turn: unlimited
- difficulty is "hard"
- autosave is on
- sim turns are on
- dynamic battles are off
- ghost mode is off.
4. No boat stealing.
5. Color of the player for each game is represented in the score table of the tourney in the Reports and Rankings thread.
Advanced Rules:
1.About choosing starting town/hero:
Both players choose their starting town/hero without knowing opponents choice. If both players want to play with the same hero, choosing town/hero should be redone (during second choosing both players should choose different town/hero from the first choice).
2.About boat stealing:
"Boat stealing" means that you use Vessel of Shalasa spell when u don't have any free boats. Doing so is is forbidden during tourney games. If this happens, another player can ask for reload or summon stolen boat back during next turns.
Only exception here is if you summon boat near the center lake or at the side of the opponent - in those cases "stealing boat" is allowed.
Players can use different rules, if both can reach the agreement.
Deadlines And Judging
It is expected that all players will be able to play at least one "Twilight World" game during 3 weeks, therefore final deadline of the preliminary round is July 31st, 2009.
All games that won't be played till the deadline, will count as losses for both players (unless one of the players can prove that he tried to arrange the game, but it was not possible to find the opponent).
All main judging issues will be dealt by me (Zilo). In special cases we can ask help to Ves or some other independant expert.

Just want to tell i dont have time to learn map well. All know it alot better, so all random will be free won from me. I want to can choice my race/hero all games. Hope its ok for other or i wont play

PLS post your opinion.
I'm perfectly ok with both options - all random or pick town/hero. If this is so important for Elit, we can make the tournament rules this way: players both pick town/hero, but, if both agree, can go all random.
P.S. I'm also in the tourney and in all my games (apart from ones with Strider and Kisp) usual offer applies - you pick town/hero for you and town for me.

Very good idea for this tournament
This map is for emperors I mean through emperors Joker, not you. Maybe names like Kispagat,Sq, Jorko and Elit can take revenge on their enemies in caesar tourney. GL to all

Since you have never held title of Emperor and I Have.. maybe you shouldnt be talking...
And for the record... you requested that I remove the one post and call a truce... yet you continue to flame and call names.. typical of your honor rating... your word is no good. So maybe you could attempt some honor and integrity for change? Or is that totally not possible with you? Remeber the larvae and the beautiful butterfly analogy?
And another thing.. I never claimed to be as good as some of the TOP players. Ofcourse "good" is just a matter of perspective. Players like Stider and Elit for example.. are at there PEEK when they have a map like HG or TwilightWorld(HG2) maps that they study and disect and map out every hex and step on map... Not saying that is a bad thing.. I dont have the patience to take the time to do that much homework. I much prefer to play on the fly.. just take the game aand the map as it is presented to me. But as I listened to reports of ceasar games on Twilight.. I heard stuff like.... "being at this garrison day 8 or this zone day 10 then being here 2 days later then normal etc etc..
KUDOS to players that have the patience to disect and patternize and memorize all the hexes and steps on a map. If thats what it takes to be considered "Good" .. then I am happy and content to be average. Reminds me of a clan war that I set up with Strider on BattleZOne...that was almost a year ago.. and every time I asked Strider to play our match.. he kept telling me he had to have time to study map and establish a strategy before he could play it.... told me would take him couple weeks. I learned along time ago.. that some of the BEST players.. get there great rankings.. because they CONTROL there circumstances... making sure they play there most dominate terrain( map) choose there heroes/towns/matchups very carefully. Some players refuse to play unless they can choose there hero etc.. *See elits requirement before he joins this tourny* That was just an example Elit... nothing personal.. so no need to flame me.
BTW.... CONGRATS Strider!! Good luck in the Next Round...

Jinxer i'm not sure how you are different from me or any other toh player. I have many games on HG because like map you have many games on BZ and Genesis. Dont tell me after all this games you dont know them and every game you make totaly different step week 1-2.
About my reqest if you try TW you will see map is very "dirty" for play. Here need alot home work if you want to play it same lvl like Zilo/Kisspagat/Strider. In general home work is good because say your skills to plan smart and correct maps. If you look my stats here or ask my oponents --> Zilo/Fraudatio/DrOwnage you will see i play map blind and lossed almost all my games. You cant play blind map like TW vs oponent who know it. Because i have RL stufs and my time is limited i cant study map for 2-3 days and play it full random. This will be same like to go report from day 1 to Zilo/Kisspagat/Strider. I dont have problem to loss after good game but giving free won in serius game is stupid.

I told you not to take it personal Elit.. I was not attacking you.. and didnt say anything about you playing HG many times.. And as I mentioned in my post.. I already said it.. but I agree with you that a map like TwilightWorld is like HG.. in the sense that you MUST MUST study and do your homework and memorize it in order to play it.. I wasnt bashing you for needing to do that..
And to answer your question.. NO I do not play every game on Genesis or DarkRealm exactly the same week 1 and 2... true some games have very similar path... BUT MOST games are quite unique.. depending on what the game deals me.. for example.. if I get offered logistics.. I dont send my main to logs/wood/ore area... unless the refugee is HORRIBLE then I still must go there.. or if refugee is medium decent I will send main there and do half while scout does other half... if refugee treants or something and dont need to buy logs.. then I skip area with main altogether... then depending on the resource mine guards... I take them.. unless Lots/Horde Arcanes then I skip over to prison/ level 4 dwelling.. or some games depending on what town I have.. I can go and take 2nd town week 1.
So depending on each game/ town/ matchups/ heroes/ neutrals / offered skills... etc etc.. the path and how the map unfolds is MUCH MUCH different each game.

Man read what you tell....here hell much options depend from spels/refugee/skills up. Do you think if some one play it for first or secod time he will know all this details and different plans? All your knolege is based on alot games and home work. Do you think in HG every game is same? Here alot different option based on guards/spels/refugee.

Yep. Twilight is no different from HG, Battlezone or Genesis - its not that you have to learn some actions and just repeat them every game, every game is unique and is offering different way of playing on all good maps. Its just that if you play the map more and more (or do it in a boring way - as a homework), you are getting familiar with more and more options how to play, and thats serious advantage. On every map.
Back to the topic
Today is the last day to sign up for the tourney, so some time during tommorrow's morning I will post final version of the rules with playing order. So far it looks like everyone v. everyone group stage and play-offs later on (in playoffs our small company will be joined by special guest Towerlord + Strider will get wild card to play-offs). Kisp still can get his wildcard to play-offs during today

Yeah, I'm in ... The map is very nice indeed, and has a special flavor, due to the fact that you have to surpass garrisons everywhere, all over the map, not just in the middle, which provides interesting action. It has some flaws though, and I will request special no mentoring at all rule in my games .
One more thing to say ... it's sad that very active players like Will, Infinitus, Natalka, Jinxer and many others don't take the opportunity to measure their forces one against the other, in an organized environment, on a very nice map.
Everyone wanted to be in Caesar's tournament, but being the best Balrog Hunter is a prestigious prize also in my opinion.
