Easily one of the most frustrating games of all time.
I get my disease to be completely resistant and to be spread by everything, and no symptoms - completely undetectable - and then everyone starts shutting down.
President Madagascar! A man in Brazil is doing absolutely nothing!
Shut. Down. EVERYTHING.

Oh yeah this game is so awesome that in the world map China is all over Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and basically all other East Asian and South-East Asian countries, except Japan!
EDIT: Just noticed there's at least Indonesia covering some of them also lol 
How the hell do you prevent the damn vaccine?
EDIT2: woot my parasite evolved and became immune to the vaccine and "any future vaccines" lol
EDIT3: played on realistic, killed the entire population with my super-resistant and immune parasite 
my score was 39839, not sure if it is high or anything, it was my first try anyway. At least I killed them all

Well I play with bacterias...and my rampage gets cut down when they lock international access to their borders... 
EDIT: My high score was 77k. 
Still quite pathetic compared to the top score of about 506k though.

Played as a virus on realistic, score 124123.
Not bad for a first attempt.

I don't get the game... . How ehm do I get these people to die? And ehm yeah I don't see how you can truely controle your disease spreading after you've upgraded all the infection thingies (rodent, insects, etc.). Madagascar are sturdy bastards...

I managed to beat nr1 on first attempt.
This one is a bit harder or i am doing someting wrong.

You "buy" 'qualities' in your disease. Some increase lethality and thus death rates, others increase spreading (like coughing for example), others increase visibility (which is usually bad, but it comes as a trade-off, they might do something else as well).

That's not the only spreading factor. You have to consider how PEOPLE will spread it, like vomiting or coughing, stuff like that. You can buy those with evolution points.

My tactic involved getting the parasite stealthy until it grew resistant. (and immune to the vaccine, for some reason, maybe I made it too resistant lol  ), then accumulate some evolution points and BLAST (buy a lot) of lethal qualities. Just imagine "Hey, 6 months ago, this disease was very hard to control or treat, but at least it wasn't that bad... but now people started dying like flies!" lol

That was my tactic too. But then they decided that even though my disease wasn't bad, they still had to shut everything down.

WTF shuts down a whole nation over a bacterial infection that causes fever? 
I mean, it's ONLY a fever. The common cold has more symptoms than that.

I see... I guess my games simply weren't long enough. Usually I got fed up with it after my Virus had invaded every nation on earth with infections on the rise but nobody dying. I understand the whole Lethality, etc. thing but Evolution points develop so slow at that point of the game it's a pain oO.
And with "controled spreading" I was referring more to the whole Plane and ship business. The way I see it (and I'm a horrible noob in this game) those things do carry your disease to another place but they're most certainly not reliable. So in the end it's luck wether Madagascar seals of it's port before or after you managed to reach them . Still it's kinda fun.

I started on Madagascar once, it was about impossible to spread it! But i do kind of agree..... The reason they are so hard to infect is because:
*No airport
*No border
*Only way into the country is by boat wich equals a slow rate
I like starting in:

*Australia
*New Zealand
*Cuba
