I would like to present a vote against adding creatures from HOMM games. We don't really need them and it detracts from the theme, IMO.
We should simply use commons from real Magic sets but change the names to match the theme. This would also ensure that the set retains the look and feel of a real magic set.
For example:
Silence 2W (excommunicate)
Sorcery
Put target creature on top of its owner's library
Quote and Spellcheck 2U (spell snip)
Instant
counter target spell unless its controller pays 1
cycling 2
4Chan Troll RG (rip-clan crasher)
creature - human spammer
haste 2/2
Derail UR (swerve)
change the target of target spell with a single target
draw a card
It's not really that hard and it works.
PS @mamgaeater - nice cards, except for the device, which is bROKEN.

Necropolis is mine Maybe I can do Fortress too, just because I'm one of the few who love them.
I would suggest a design team roster be made up with a lead and everything to match Wizards system it seems to work well.
We can even playtest some of the cards by subjecting them to tests of single play situations that see how well the work.

It's silly for two reasons.
One - cards deserve to be rated by their power, not by their name.
Two - most of the users wouldn't be able to appreciate what we have done to them.
So far we've just been doing people who play magic, or otherwise show an interest in being done. Except sometimes we do one for our own amusement. (Warmonger's Distain, because he tried to kill the thread on page 1)

Okay, Phoenix Reborn is kinda pushing it in terms of power.
EDIT: Also, red doesn't get regeneration these days.
Also, a  vote regarding the inclusion of stuff from HoMM games. HC=/=HoMM.
What I think would be nifty is an actual mechanic theme to tie the set together. A keyword or two perhaps?
For example, we could tack on "Put a QP counter on target permanent" on various spells and then have various effects triggering off of QP counters or such.
For example:
Shower in QPs W (yes, a redesign if I may)
Instant
Put a QP counter on target creature.
Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn to each creature with a QP counter.
QP Hunter 2G
Creature - Human Poster
Trample
QP Hunter gets +1/+1 for each QP counter on it.
2/2
Mighty Mage's Whim 2BB
Sorcery
Each creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn for each QP counter on that creature.

While I understand the mechanics of the game, my poor skills do not allow me to participate in card creation. However, I am watching this thread closely and with high interest. Keep it up, guys.
Potential ideas (hope this will inspire someone):
RSF's 3 phases.
Peanuts (counters maybe).
Peanut Planters.
April Fools.
LHW.
TUM.
Val's descend. (into the people)

Creature without QP counters do not untap during their controller's untap steps.
