I was sitting on my front poarch watching it rain, and I noticed what I could only (at first) discribe as two furballs.  They were huddled under a bush, trying to stay dry.  Turns out they were two kittens.  My neighbors cat had a litter recently, and these two were the only ones they had not given away.  They were two striped tabbys.

The poor things were soaking wet, trapped, and rather miserable. So I took an umbrella and a blanket, and got them and wrapped them up.  I took them back to the porch, and dried them off.  Never seen two happier cats.  They rough housed a bit with each other, and it was just too cute, I had to smile.  From being miserable one moment to being carefree the next.  After the rain they went back to their home, but I have a feeling they will be back.

Got some milk I can warm in an instant, and some towels ready to put in the dryer to get nice and toasty warm.  Heres to the next rainy day.

Nooooo!!! Cats get sick if they drink milk! We have cats and everywhere I read it says "Dont give the cats milk or they will suffer". My cat is having kittens again soon.

My mum fails at preventing her to mate safely >.>

The milk from the Cat mum is different then the one you buy in the stores. You should not give milk to any animal. I have always read that you shall not feed cats milk.

Cow or goat milk CAN pass for any baby animal as an EMERGENCY measure.  It should not be used on a regular basis unless the mother of the infants passes away or can not supply the milk themelves.  Even then you should use fresh unprocessed milk, NOT the type you get at the store.  Whole milk only also, not the 2% or skim variety if you absolutely have no choice but to get store bought milk to save the infant animal's life.

Infant animals can be an endless source of ammusement, companionship, and all around cuteness.  If you have ever seen two infant animals 'sparring' then you truely know what the phrase "Happiness in small bundles" means.  Even more so when two of them are innocently currled up with each other (or with their parental figure).  You just can not help but smile.

However, please remember that infant animals grow up to be adult animals.  Too many people get kittens or puppies just to abandon them when they grow up a bit.

If I have a fault - and I'm not saying I do, mind you - it's that I have a tendency to be a wee bit fastidious when it comes to the state of neatness of my living space.  And nothing makes me happier than a freshly cleaned home.

*BUMP*

On Friday when I picked my little girl up from daycare, the teacher came over to me and said that sometime in the middle of the day, she (my daughter) abruptly stopped playing with whatever toy she had in her hands and announced to the class (playgroup): "I really like my daddy."

My heart melted with happiness.
