New monkey island!!!
Yes a new monkey island is being created by Telltale Games(the one that made the last sam and max)
Tales of Monkey Island
This too will be in episodes( ) and I don't like how Guybrush is()...
Let's hope something good will come out...
Have anyone tried the sam and max seasons?!?Are they good?!?

I dont know but I played the monkey island on sega CD and it was in my opinion much better than the way more cartoonish versions.
Here is a comparison of the graphics,
which I should add is not why I decide I dont like the sequels so far.
 
The first pic is my first choice. Such a fun game.. Infact, here are so more pics of it

Well I believe the 3d one to have the better graphics...but that's my opinion...

ya in way the graphics are better.. It's more cartoonish. I prefer the cheaper graphics myself lol..

In my personal opinion, LeChuck's revenge was the best in the series. After that, the graphics got better and the game got worse.

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO !!!! I have been a Monkey Island fan since I was old enough to weild a mouse. Now Monkey Island is back. And it from one of my favorite developers. Telltale Games has earned a special place in my games rack, for they have been able to make adventure games as good as the classics and more than one'd expect in the modern day. I am going to pre-order this ASAP.

2 Monkey Island games anounced same day, woooooooooo!!!!
Fist one is 5 part episodic telltale game, while other is remake of monkey island 1 with new voiceovers from familiar characters

yasmiel thanks a lot for letting me know this.
I earlier stated along the lines I like the old graphics better. The graphics in the special edition are slightly different, but substantially better!! I also would not be happy if they made the recreation of the first monkey island different in many ways.
Wow, I probably will never get into the newer ones, but this one is a must have for my collection. Probably really affordable and low spec demands also.
All they did was change sound and graphics if I am not mistaken (probably some other changes too to upgrade the system into this modern technology)

Celfious, you should give the news ones a chance  . I have 'The Curse of Monkey Island', the first 3D one, I think. I had endless fun playing that. About the topic, this is great. I just hope they're good and still humurous as always. That was one of the aspects of the game that I loved.

I really enjoyed Sam and Max season one. I'm playing through season two now. They make me laugh and that is the most important thing.
I played the monkey island that is in Celfious' picture where he wants to become a pirate. I never got very far.

I like the idea of insult sword fighting.
Anyway, I've played S1E4 of Sam and Max (Abe Lincoln Must Die) and a demo of S1E1 (Ice Station Santa), so it should be good.

For someone who has played both seasons of Sam and Max and is impatiently waiting for the first Episode of The Devil's Playhouse later today, I can only reccomend Sam and Max.
It's full of brilliantly wacky humour and clever puzzles. It will have you grinning like a fool while you play and laugh out loud many times. And I can say from experience that it is still funny the fifth time around.
I have played Tales of Monkey Island, every episode twice now. And my opinion differs little from the one given above. I am now waiting for my collectors edition disk to ship.
