I misread and thought it said "The reason behind Fathers big tits of rage" and I was like WHAT?

Im pretty sure he still lurks around these grounds.

don't really care if he is here or no, I didn't know him anyway.
I don't really care about you all, well, more exactly I try to stay neutral, which isn't easy, but I think it's safer...

Yet another clear cut case of addition by subtraction

Dangit.  I missed the fun in the diary.  Did he comment on my rainbow-colored tp?  I hope so.

What else?  Actaully William, it was yours truly that advanced the idea that thread creators don't own them.  I understand though, how easy it is to mix me up with Stiven.  Big mouthed...argumentative...mean-spirited...internet Darwinian....

I tried to edit one of my old threads a few months ago.  Lo and behold, I couldn't even do that.  I guess once threads hit the one year mark the opening post cannot be edited.  I'm not sure about the other posts though.

The reason the LGBT community thread got deleted is because Father WAS the LGBT community around here.

Does it even matter whether it got deleted? So we put some time into those posts. So what? It's not like they're our memoirs. What were you guys going to do, show them to your kids?

"Then I got a QP for analyzing homosexuality and it was one of the best days of my life."
"What about when I was born?"
"Not even close."

He pussied out, alright, he was a bit of a queer fellow to begin with (pun only partially intended). No big deal, 'tleast for me.

Let's just let it go and continue with our lives as usual, shall we?

Though it is a mystery how the thread got deleted. My bet is the Vatican.

As a matter of principle, I say yes.  Think what would happen to this place if EVERYONE deleted the posts they started.  Wouldn't be much left here, would there?

There was one or two posts I would have liked to have saved prior to the thread's deletion.  I do archive some of my posts on my home computer.  If I ever need to argue a point somewhere else, I do oftentimes consult what I (and in some cases, others) have said before on a topic.  Plus I just like to have them for myself.  I spend a lot of time on some of my posts.  Just because said posts don't have any specific use, doesn't mean they have no worth.

Neither mysty, shadow nor angelito deleted the thread. And considering that the thread wasn't around for a year it could have been deleted by him, delete the first post and the thread poofs out of existence.
Bak just tried in the VW thread and he failed... and I remember people (in fact, Shadow, even a Mod (but not of the respective forum)) asking for a VW mod to delete a thread he created by mistake...

so if neither of those it's Val (unlikely) or he really made a trick or something.

Why didn't you just archive the post when you wrote it? That'd be the safest and easiest way.

As for now, I think mods can get it back to you. Still, it's a great lesson for the future: keeping precious, meaningful and potentially useful text just posted on a public internet forum and not backed up anywhere is equivalent to keeping money under a garden gnome with children playing baseball your courtyard.

Yes.  I guess, lesson learned.  That was a fairly recent post.  I usually archive my posts once a year or something like that.  Plus, I was unaware that whole threads could just be deleted.  I thought the users of the board were protected from stuff like that happening.

What is odd is, there are some threads I have done some tests on in the OSM (old old threads) and if they were a poll or something I could not delete them.  Weird.

Now I know people are upset because of the LGBT thread going, but is it right to insult people who are not here or able (having been silenced) to defend themselves?

I disagree.  Many of you know that I put a lot of my heart and soul into the thread.  Exposed various details about my life, and yes it really bothered me that the thread is gone for good unless some miricle happens.  Still personal attacks are against the CoC..like it or not.  So he does NOT deserve it, nobody does.   Believe me, I have issues with what he did, and how he did it.

We can vent our dislike without throwing names around, however.  We are better then that.

I'm the last person you'll hear defending that guy - but for what its worth, lets at least watch the line between deserved and innapropriate comments

You know, just HC rules and stuff - mind the CoC blablablabla

It can't be said though, that he's "not here" he's still around and reading what's said.

The problem is Corribus we are not sure how he got rid of the LGBT.  It might have been a bug.  He couldn't get rid of the Diary himself, or others of his threads.  But LGBT he did, and we are not sure how.
