That might work. But there are a lot of crossovers, not just Elves. However, I do like your boss idea. Some of the big nasties will be only multi-resource creatures.

with combine card.? i mean you should include Specile effect cards and terrain cards. ie magical plain is best to fight with magic creatures but bad for machines?

Hmmm, I don't know wether terrain would work good with myticals game (as far as i know it^^) or make it too complex...

There are going to be special effect cards. No terrain cards however, too similar to 'lands' from MTG.

I'm talking specifically about tapping and untapping as game terminology. not as concept.
perhaps,
Active/inactive
or you can just make it a rule that they can do one thing a turn unless specified.

not necessary at all. terrain could be put on any unit square beneath the units, determinating how well is fought there and some units could get terrain bonusses (cavallery in plains, elves in woods, miners in tunnels, will'o'wisp in swamp, etc...) ... that would have nothing to do with the mtg lands, which are technically ressource sources.

interesting that in Brazil the 'lands' are caled "terrenos", "terrain" in english... land will be more properly 'terra' or '... bah! this dont help in nothing!

Here's mah prototype:
That template is for Unit type cards. Tactic and Fate cards don't have the S (for Strength) or H (for Health Boxes). C equals Cost.
Fate cards don't have the C either.
Races:
Humans
Half reptile, half bird organism
Reptilian, amphibious-like organism with silicon skin.
That's about it for now.
Brainstorming for colors for each type of card would be nice too.
Feedback on the template would be appreciated as well.

Any resource cost within a () means any resource may be used to pay for it.
Flying units can only be blocked or attacked by other Flying units unless specified.
Armored Units - Any unit with the ability Armored takes 50 damage less per attack/attacker.
Armor Peirce - Any unit with Armored peirce does no extra damage, but ignores the Armored ability.
Mechanical
Gyrocopter - (2) 1 Research - Flying. On the turn it is first put into play, the Gyrocopter does not have flying. These machines were tough as nails, but getting them airborne was always hard to do. Attack - 300 HP - 500
Ballista - (1) 2 Research - Ranged. Can only attack once every two rounds. Armor Peirce. Attack - 500 HP- 300.

Can ranged units hit flyers too or is it just for reaching far away enemies?

That would make sense. Some ranged would not be able to hit all flying.

On the other hand, a shooter doesn't have to be ranged. If someone learned to throw his spear upwards that still doesn't mean he can hurl it over the whole battlefield.

Now you are making my head hurt lol. A ballista could feasibly hit a flying enemy, but it would be a very rare occurence so it deffinately is 'ranged' and not a shooter.

lol, I'm just saying that a ranged unit is not necessarily a shooter and vice versa. Off course, some units can be both shooters and ranged.

Humanoid - Xarkan ((looks like a 'weretiger')) - 2 Food - Must pay 2 food per turn or Xarkan leaves play. When this card comes into play, search library for any one upgrade and place it on Xarkan without paying the cost. Att - 250 HP - 250
Bazlix - (1) 2 Food - Flying/Ranged. When fighting at ranged Bazlix only attacks at 1/2 normal attack. Att - 300 HP - 200
Magical - Gnome - 2 mana - Target machine gains +50 attack but gains 'unstable' only one machine may be targeted per turn per gnome. Unstable - Cumulative 10% chance that creature will 'selfdestruct' and be removed from play. Gnomes often go into battle carrying some dangerous and unstable devices that are as dangerous to themselves as their enemy. Att - 200 Hp-250
Pixie - (2) 1 mana - Flying. Replaces a single charge per turn on any charged magical upgrade. Unblockable and can not be targetted by any creatures attack. Att - 100 Hp -200
