Masquerade - A mystery game
Ok here is something I have been contemplating, but it would also need other Moderators to back this, because it sort of fringes on the CoC. For the first part, people HCM me with a "I am in!", but don't post it HERE please (I'll get to why). Then those that do make a second account (which is where it touches on the CoC), but only post with those accounts HERE (patience...). The object of the game would be of course to figure out WHO is behind the 'mask'. ((Mods, since they have the IP check power could not guess)). Other Moderators, post yay or nay on this idea please.
Points would be given for correct guessing AND for each DAY that the person is not correctly guessed. Each day that person posts that is. Note : If you share a computer with other posters, and try to guess them, it will NOT count and they will be disqualified also. Please keep this in mind. Do not HCM me until the Other Mods sign off on this however, and anybody caught posting with their 'second account' outside this thread (even if ok'd) will still be penalised. Once the alternate accounts are made, they will be expected to post a "I'm in." (or similar post to let people know they are the 'alts' of somebody). That means .. the less well you are known the better! The more well known the better roleplayer you HAVE to be.
Anybody can ask any questions (short of .. "Who are you" or the like) and the people HAVE to answer truthfully. Birthdates and when they signed up are also not allowed. Though how long they 'generally' have been a member IS perfectly acceptable.
Edit : Azagal may end up running this if the other Mods sign off on it. If so will delete this thread, and the HCM's joining would go to HIM.

I think it's ok. However, I would suggest that names of the alternative accounts should start with 'Masquerade' - for instance, if I wanted an alternative account called Alci, I would name the account Masquerade_Alci.
This would be just to avoid any possible confusion on people breaking the COC by making second accounts or not.

K, lets hope people don't make it quite that obvious though.  . I like the idea about making the names identifiable with this thread. Maybe Masq_whatever to shorten it tho.

Yeah. Btw maybe there should be slightly stricter rules on which questions to ask. For instance, questions like "how old are you" and "in which country do you live" will make it very easy to guess most members.

Actually..mine is either Pikachu or Eevee. Both are rather cute
Edit : One more mod has given the  to this. Only a few more to go
Edit 2. Want to clarify something. Mods CAN take part in one aspect..they can create another account and get everybody to try to guess who they are. They can NOT guess who somebody is however. Oh and all guesses as to who is who will be done by your Original account, not the 'mystery' account! If you try to guess with your alternate account, it will be ignored.

It sounds like what iris did back in the old days.
We would all meet in AIM in a chatroom. Go in different names & we have to guess who is who etc.
You can also go in Robs TOH chatroom

Well since nobody has objected yet, feel free to hcm me if you want in. Here is how it will work. You will make an account like Masq_A (etc) (I will let you know which 'letter' you are assigned when you contact me). Yes, similar things have been done before, but instead of ims and such this will be done on this thread. Remember that you must answer any question, and honestly, except the ones that I have mentioned.
