Well, as I said, I have no problem with people and their beliefs, but I object when they tell others based on that, they are wrong.
You must have misunderstood it then. ANY chance evaluation is subjective. However, the fact that expanding has more chances of being true is not. It depends how much you assign to the latter scenario. I assigned 20% based on subjective evaluation, but no matter what, it IS a positive chance, so the likelihood of expanding IS higher, as I outlined (unless you're biased, I took fair 50/50 chances).

And this isn't science, it's statistical analysis btw (I assume you mean natural science, which deals with experiments instead).

Let me give you an example. We have looked at the Moon for a long long time. Now, what are the chances that the Moon will explode tomorrow? Let's see, at first, we would assign 50/50 to be fair, but seriously, right now, doesn't it approach like a very very low chance?

This is because we have experienced a lot of data saying otherwise (i.e Moon not exploding -- or Universe expanding!), so the chances for it are considerable higher. How "high" they are is SUBJECTIVE, but it is no DOUBT that they ARE HIGHER.

This is the basis in general-purpose compression algorithms also. That is, algorithms which are not specific/have no idea about the data (for example .gif is specialized compression algorithm). You know, stuff like .zip files.

Case closed.

Well alright, then general compression and predictive compression was born out of some guy's "religion". The impressive thing is that it works for most (non-random) files (who doesn't use zip files nowadays?). Awesome religion I have to say.

Indeed. You've just documented that you live in your very own world with your very own rules and laws.

Now I find your post a bit disturbing because my post is an analysis -- doesn't look like a law-abiding post at all (i.e do not question the law). But I suppose your reply may be considered the ultimate response in effect to anything.
