it happens alot.
You would be surprised how many threads are remakes.

You get to hear new debates & point of veiw.
Some are repeats but different replies.

Do you think your idea would work?
Think of the outcome if we did go with your idea?
Do you think it would help overall?

It's not nessary to have your suggestion in effect.

(Yes everyone knows I spell Nessary like that )

If I didn't think it'd have a positive effect, I wouldn't be posting this, and it'd really help the forum to be able to evolve its level of knowledge, independent of the users presents, since knowledge won't be partly forgotten at times goes by.

I just dont know if the community would want to do that.
Maybe we should have a vote & see what everyone thinks.

Just limit the number of quotes, set a limit of 1 quote per person quoted and there you go, no more quote wars.

You're probably right, but the problem is, I wanted it to be so, there's room enough for that, without it clouding the threads, otherwise it gets really meaningsless to write longers posts, which is sad because you might have a lot of relevant stuff to add.

Maybe, though I'd also like to know if a vote have any saying in the first place.

People can create new threads for it even now. The problem is that usually people don't notice or don't care that they are "clouding the threads". So your parallel system won't bring anything really new, because in the end it won't depend on the system, but on the posters.

True, it depends upon the people, as it will always do when it's a freedom to speech, etc.

However the difference would be, that not every little subject would create a new thread and cloud just a higher level in the forum (the collection of threads).
