Best Shooters from Each Level

I want to know what you think are the best shooters from each level.

There was a similar thread about shooters. You may want to check it out, not much has changed since.

1: Gremlin saboteurs (about 3* in number to assassins and even +1 Attack).
2: Crossbowmen (Marx men are more situational).
3: Arcane archers (most of the times they are priority target #1 when fighting vs. Sylvan, either for outright destruction or a high level Dark spell).
4: High Druid vs Inferno, otherwise Succubus Mistress. In both cases the other upgrade comes with better (IMO) specials.
5: Zealot - would be Archlich if it was not as big as it is.
6: Shadow Matriarch (mistresses are not shooters).
7: Titan. Can shoot (marginally) even when blocked, Storm Titan's special isn't as good and cyclopes are weak shooters.

Edit: Emu'd... I guess.

Yeah too obvious There isn't really much competition, some simply dominate. Besides it doesn't really matter since a faction's balance is not tied to how many 'best' units it has.

Wait, do we talk about the Shooters Statistically or do we take specials in account?

Coincidence? I think not!!!!

Pretty much agree with this, although I generally prefer Master Gremlin because resing some golems is always useful, whereas saboteurs are very conditional (albeit potentially really good). I also think it's a toss up between Titan's and Storm Giants, since both of their specials are pretty weak. I'm also no longer certain between Seducers and High Druids because both of their specials are pretty amazing. High Druids have more potential, but shaping a build off of them really makes you put all of your eggs in one basket.

I would say centaurs for the level 2 because they act before marksmen

Hmm, nomad centaurs are certainly a contender, but they are large and lack the no range penalty perk which limits their greatest potential to units that have actually charged. Crossbowmen can in fact be sealed off so you can only touch them with magic, hero's attack or other ranged units (and vs. stronghold, if you box them in even fear my roar won't budge them out of safety). And in large battles with all or most tiers present, it's often easy to block the nomads.
