I, personally, would expect an institution like the NASA to do things like that
but I'm not too deep in the matter -.-

Why? Mars has an atmosphere too, you know. Thinner but it has. Explain your reasoning.

I thought the sky was blue because it was reflecting the reflection of the water (which is blue), but maybe it's the opposite way round?

Otherwise, I suppose the sky'd have to absorb or reflect all other frequencies of light than blue to look blue?

No, sky is blue because of scattering of light off of particles in the atmosphere.  Scattering efficiency is wavelength dependent, so some colors (blue) can be more easily observed than others (red), except when the sun is low in the sky (sunset).

Oh, thanks for telling me this.

Very interesting, I'd probably try to look deeper into it some time.

Also, for me, it seems very weird, that NASA should be able to post "faked" pictures, considering the general knowledge I suspect, at least in the scientific community.

Or just clumsy, because the raw images have to be processed obviously.

That's your reasoning for a blue sky? or rather for a lack of it?

The Moon barely has an atmosphere, btw.
