This is one of the reasons Swarm Host needs a redesign/new unit. It's son boring

They are so conservative and against changes that I fear they may not change them ever.
PS: CJ Entus showmatches, start at a very nice hour

I wouldn't be that pessimistic - the Reaper has been changed a lot for example. But yeah, their solution might be that instead of changing the Swarm Host they implement a super hard counter to it, like something that is immune to locusts lol.

That would be plain stupid (and only limited to one race??)...yet it looks like a Blizz official change
BTW, some info of Blizzcon has been revealed. Casters (overall great selection, even if it could be improved) and format and seeding. In case of tie points they fly the players to the blizzcon to play a Bo5
PS: the map pool is the same of WCS Season 3, which as well is the same used by many other tournaments lately. I must say I'm tired to watch the same maps again and again, I really hope Proleague will gift us with new and crazy maps as in the first half of last season

Actually, David Kim said already in one of his interviews(I think, but it was a bit older interview, like half a year ago) that they see two ways of playing Swarm Hosts, first is aggressive, being active on the map, constantly burrow, send locusts, unburrow etc., and second one is being defensive behind Spine Forest.
They said that if one of them becomes too strong or boring, they would change it.
To be honest, I love Swarm Hosts, but I hate them too when they are played that way(defensive), and they certainly aren't too strong, because they aren't standard(I would like them to stay this way then to become a go-to thing like Infestors were in WoL that we see everyday).

Amazing news, definitely.
I remember just before KeSPA got into SC2, how WoL has become stale, and then KeSPA came with their crazy maps, that completely changed how the match-ups are being played.
I am looking forward to this.

Exactly. When Proleague started last december, they brought lots of new and crazy maps: caldeum, arkanoid, bifrost, Neo Planet S, Fighting Spirit, Naro Station, Korhal Floating Island...some succeed and began to be part of others tournaments map pools, other didn't, but helped refreshing the game. Korhal with the 2 different set ups, arkanoid without 4th for forever time (and no infestor - broodlord rush during the WoL era ), Neo Planet S with its special circular movements, difficult 3rd and 4th...
Next Proleague starts at the end of November, I hope they bring new maps too

WCS S3 Finals, prediction time!
Vortix as the sole foreigner, you must be proud S-G! But with Dear on his group and HerO... no chance I fear! But would be awesome to see him advance.
First group has somewhat clear favourites, Soulkey and Polt. And I have no doubt about Polt. Soulkey could lose in ZvT, so there is the possibility of that, but I have to put my faith in Soulkey.
Second group is very hard to choose from I want Jaedong and Trap, so I am rooting for them.
Fourth group is very interesting, I haven't seen many of those players play against each other? I would eliminate duckdeock first because of that. Out of the 3 remaining, I pick Maru and soO. ^^

Actually is one of the best groups he could get. It's all tosses - just one match to prepare. And most important, his only victories in offline matches against coreans are against Protoss (source). If Polt, MMA, Jaedong, Maru, Soulkey, soO...where in his groud it would be hopeless, but with only Dear as big enemy....I think he has a fair chance, although not very big.

Don't underestimate MC and Hack. For me is the group of death (close with B tho)

I think JD could fall here. MMA seems a clear favourite for me, and Trap could easily make it.

This group is very difficult to tell indeed. I can't decide really

I aknowledged that Hack could take the other spot (but I had to pick one, that was the point ). But MC I might be underestimating just because he is not my favourite, I don't like his play style for some reason. ;p

You may not like him, but he gets deep runs in many tournaments each year. Certainly he isn't a fav, but you can't forget him either

What a lucky scouts from Polt on game 3 wtf
edit: oh my god, what a game
MC wins game 1 against Soulkey controlling the flow of the whole game, really top play from him
edit2: oh my, MC prepared so damn well this series against Soulkey, utter domination!

Genius started winning against JD(!!), but now is tied, great game from the Dong in G2
And genius wins with a VR gateway all-in, great focus firing on the Roaches so the queens could be killed by the ground army, and great pull back of low hp VRs too, one stayed alive with 1 hp.
Crazy results so far!
Dear - HerO was a crazy PvP, though I hate Tempest
Oz crushed VortiX, weak chanches for the foreigner hope

Hero-Oz was so fun, such back and forth games, it was impossible to tell who was going to win. That play from Hero in game 2 with the Tempests...
