With the energy need the oracles are a use once card for killing marines. The marines can be remade faster than the oracles take to recharge the energy needed to massacre them, that's why you never see them outside of timed pushes in the early game.

And Widow Mines butcher Oracles Yeah not that amazing last game, he lost Oracle and 4 Phoenixes to Widow Mines and after such investments lost it was pretty clear he couldn't come back without a miracle.

That was so painful to watch. He just kept pushing and actually did decently against the zerglings but then the Ultralisks... No chance.
