I knew Taeja was going to win it, aside from that trippy game two it was basically the same games every time and Taeja is just better at being cost effective, the mutas don't do enough, the banelings certainly don't do enough and the lings aren't enough to compensate for it!

Well deserved champion in my book.

Definitely well deserved, but it isn't about units being more cost efficient, it is about Life not playing that good, and Taeja playing better.

I don't know, aside from game 3(with 2 base Mutas and constant aggression), I feel like games were underwhelming.

Yes, the finals were bad, but that's a common trend in 2013, sadly.

In 3 hours IEM playoffs starts, while in 5 hours WCG finals take place. I'll miss both, damn.

Yeah, well I will watch them tomorrow. I am just hoping to hear more Idra and Tod casting together, they were amazing.
If you didn't hear it, watch Hydra vs. Squirtle all three games, those were great and great casting duo that actually really understands the game.

Seems I did the right choice by skipping out on the finals. The first Taeja Life didn't really give much to look forward to for the finals either.

And we can toast to that!

Never liked the game online, snow the heroes. Just kept playing StarCraft for my Blizzard RTS.

The real problem is that I don't have any C&C style rts to play at the moment. Which is a shame, it's by far the least apm intensive RTS style and it has always had the best UI so it easily pulls in more casual crowd to the scene.

StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swam and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Forever are going strong. With the HD version of AoK that kind of RTS has resurrected but no really C&C style ones out at the moment.

From the tweets of Khaldor, I think this WCG 2013 was the last one hosting a Warcraft III tournament

Back to the other SC2 tournaments, CJ.herO won IEM Singapore, I'm very happy for him, I still remember when he saved Stephano first appearance in Proleague from being disqualified

And this night he brought us a great celebration!

In WCG, Soulkey kept his title of most consistent player of 2013/HotS with a clean 3-1 sweep over the cinderella CJ.Sora. PartinG kept his honor too by beating Jim with the same result.

Only one minute to midnight!

Hot6ix Cup started this morning. Today's results:

Rain 3-0 Symbol
Dear 3-1 RorO

A Protoss is guaranteed in the finals! Not really surprise by the results, maybe there were some doubts on Rain PvZ but he proved wrong the doubters

Rain played good, but Symbol played really greedy all three games... So greedy that a simple poke by the Rain instantly gave him great advantage in all three games and that poke ended second game. I was far more impressed with Dear - Roro games.

Yes, Naniwa tweeted Rain won one game with a 4 gate, in the end of 2013 lol

Tomorrow I'll be able to watch both games, two TvZ, but I wish for a ZvZ semifinals and (therefore) a PvZ guaranteed finals

Oh, and in 20 minutes Dailymotion Cup playoffs Day 2 starts: Squirtle, Jaedong, Forgg, Oz. Should be fun

Game 1 omg, haha, so awesome. Mass Mutalisks destroying a mech push? Yes. Seeker missiles killing an entire army? Yes

Bomber's Law always kick in hahahahahahahahahahahaha

2-0, outplaying (outmicroing) Soulkey in the firts two games, then proceeds to lose games leaving 7 tanks on creep without AA cover, attacking rocks with his whole army while the zerg attacks him, leaving a ball of marines on creep without splitting against banelings....

Soulkey stomped Maru 3-1. That's the fourth consecutive semifinal Maru loses by a 1-3 score

So Rain - Soulkey the finals ^^

And in the delayed Asus Rog, Life barely won 3-2 against INnoVation...and right now is losing 0-2 against Welmu

Last game of Maru vs. Soulkey looked like a very high level Brood War game. Constant action everywhere, both players were all over the map, and whenever Maru wanted to attack or harass, Soulkey was there to defend on multiple fronts while at the same time he was attacking and harassing Maru.
It was beautiful Zerg play, just perfect.

Asus Rog NorthCon'13 may be the worst tournament ever. So many, so many problems & technical issues

Edit: Jaedong one Bo5 away from another second place
