I don't believe it was meant exclusively for announced features. I think it was simply what people believe are the three most important things to improve upon, in general. If I think that the magic system in H5 sucked balls and needs desperately to be improved, I would list that: better magic system that's blah blah blah. And ideally, I would elaborate.

Jackson got it right. The purpose of this thread was to identify spots in which H5 did not perform well so that H6 can improve. Of course some really good decisions have been already taken by the developers so you can also add those. However, it will be better if we identify features that were not announced officially and that can be a plus for H6.

You're right, I should learn to check the relevant post before opening my big mouth, the OP (I.E. you) even said it.

Actually it's not plain wishes since in this category there could be features that did not appear in H5. I was referring at the worst 3 features of H5 and eventually ideas of how to solve them in order to make H6 better with respect to H5. For example in my case I mentioned the fact that I did not like the randomness of H5 and I acknowledged the fact that they took some steps to mitigate this problem but I also added the fact that there is still some randomness regarding the spell system that they still have to solve.

How I see it is that many of the things that people want are already being implemented )

The most important thing for me is taking randomness away from the game and adding good balance and good customization.

We know already that modding will be in and choosing skills when you level (no randomness )

= good multiplayer

Actually what I would also wish is for the cpu to be good. Since h4 h5 comp sucked really hard.

Hello;

1 ) Graphics maybe required to get in the world. But what we really need is to stick to core and be happy after we see similarities with other heroes 2,3 . Like, stick to elemental magic system.
Edit :
Quote:
1. Go back to the basics (more like HoMM 2 & 3)

This is what i meant .

2 ) I dont understand why people want to manually level their heroes up. This is the part that made the game most fun. If it would be manually, there would be builds, straightforward stuff. Now that would be blasphemy ! It should be random still and we should do our best to pick whats best for our hero. This is my opinion ofc...

But i still agree on the fact that necromancers should not have access to skills like leadership and we need more perks like in heroes V and more variety of skill.

3 ) Adventure Map. We need boss battles, more suprises, and more treasure then grail itself. Wider variety of things to do in weekdays other then waiting for the end of the week maybe ( like h3 natural creatures spawning everywhere to keep the player busy.

Note: And one more thing, i hated the fact that we have to wait too long for the AI to make its move in H5. A fix to that like H3 would be great .

Edit : I think i forgot the most important thing after i read the previous posts so it'll be 4 items .
More realistic, darker artstyle is a must, not some anime painting.

Thank you, i hope you like my opinions.

My top three, any way you want to classify them;

1. To be able to play extra large maps with ease in any mode.
2. To be able to play Huge maps with ease in any mode.
3. To be able to play impossible maps with ease in any mode.

If only I was trying to be funny. I should add this 'condition'; "All factions in use and  many times the '8 towns', if a map-maker put them on the map I'm trying to play.

Please Developers, can we maximize-turbo-charge the possiblites of 5 before venturing too far in 6?...Markkur

Agree to the third power Hartza

i guess I'll give off my Map Editor only focus and redo my list to this.

1. Map Editor, Because it impacts what we do for years after playing the storyline.

2. A.I. so we can play any game, in any mode and enjoy it.

3. More interaction by the Developers with their community of players...well on the down the road.

Why shouldn't they hold some contest in their own fashion? make it really big deal, Awesome shirts or coats, covered with H6 artwork, just for partipating and then have a release for the fans to purchase.? Approach it just like an expansion!? Like something with all the mods and yet no bugs, no conflicts etc. <imo>This would not replace what happens at HC it would only enhance it.

Won't happen now, but it'd be nice not to have to upgrade every creature to get it optimized.

1. The abilities bit of AoC
2. Not having to keep an extra hero in every town just to hoover up the out-of-town creatures.
3. Less randomness in customising your hero, although I'll reserve judgement on this a bit till we actually have some details.

For me,best improvements that BlackHole made are:
1-Boss fight(you really need something like this on a story)
2-Elemental Based Magic(Like H3,that's true)
3-Core,Elite and Champion units-Makes the game more strategic.
However I would wished:
1-Create your own Heroes(Customize,apparence,class,faction,speciality)
2-Secondary classes that are universal for all factions so: A Knight can be an engineer or a pathfinder.A Necromancer can be an engineer too.
3-Alot better graphics including a new, more horrific, red and black coloured necropolis.

Totally agree

1.Better AI.
2.Better AI.
3.Better AI.

This is so important in a Strategic game:

Better neutrals battles.
Better campaing.
Better hot seat games.

bla bla bla

1)Quick AI is a must/quicker loading times
2)A lot more single player maps
3)Also would like more dynamics/strategy/elements in a battle (This has been adressed already though so happy with that)

Boss fights are fights with unique creatures, that can occupy even more squares (3x3, 4x4), have a lot more stats and possible unique abilities.

Not sure what You mean by "why", I would say "why not". I don't mind either way to be honest.
