Champions' speed was reduced to normal in HoLv3.22. Since I added a "twin" creature in Rampart (the new Paladins) I thought it weird to have Champions so much speed. And indeed the bonus was overwhelming. I increased Castle's 7th level creatures speed though.

As for the "old" hierophants (that Aeris summoned) they were not lost. I merely exchanged the names (hierophants are now the Sentinels and Sentinels are now the hierophants). I also changed Castle's Paladins to Templars.

As for Queen Catherine and Gelu, you can remove the extension heroes from the taverns. It is a WOG option you can turn it ON or OFF as you please, it is not obligatory for my mod.

The Falconets will be available next week (provided you have the upgraded 3rd building. This also applies for Golems and Apprentices in Tower and bandits in Dungeon. It's been asked so many times now that I begin to wonder how hard it is to wait before posting

Are you going to change the additional creatures in dwellings feature?

A golem building costing 5 of each rare just to have 3/2 Gold/Diamond Golems a week is waste of money. It's only a "forced handicap" so the player doesn't get Arch Magi/Enchanters too fast. And Tower dwellings are already rare expensive since lvl 4 (though I see upg. Magi Tower costs rare now). Either way, Library should have rares in its cost because it gives more spells.

I might use the Enchanters because of their awesome mass spellcasting, or the Falconets because they are powerful, but 7 Bards a week or 3 Gold Golems is really pointless. Bards could be useful early game, but noone's going to pay rare resources when they need them for Labirynth, Manticore Lair or Mage Guild 2. Their low growth and high building cost are a big turn-off.

@BalanceFanatic : I disagree with your post. If Enchanters and Gold/Diamond Golems were growing too fast, Tower would be way overpowered. Thus, you'd better wait for them to grow (best having a few Tower towns, be expert earth magic) and use them in late game, when there will be huge armies and such. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the feeling I had playing it.

I recently played a map where the AI was able to get 100+ Anubis warrior on one battle

Hows is that possible? I was maybe on the eleven months on a vanilla XL map (Back to Revenge) if that helps.

Maybe with the diplomacy thing and I guess it was the week of Anubis warriors yah?

The alternate creatures given, (While I agree they need a minor population boost) are very useful if you buy them from multiple towns and replace other creatures in hard maps, especially this is useful for things like 1v5+ Impossible matches.

For example, as Tower, I have 3 towers, and I have the alternate creatures and creatures from other towns as a alternate army, but in my previous fight nearly all of my Gremlins or Gargoyles have died, I could replace them with a powerful, low population slow growth unit of Enchanters, or take a nice retaliation absorber like golems.

(Those Golems are so helpful for fighting Fireball/Meoter Shower heroes, by making them one to hit 2 stacks for dmg, even if it's against ur useless stuff.)

Hello,

I've got a brand new SoD installed and I've tried to install the HoLv3.2 - Tales of Amadar **Compatible with ERA II only**.

I've installed the Era II, then I've installed the HoLv3.2 and launched h3era.exe and I'm using the suggested options in WoG settings.

Some heroes and creatures display correctly, however some don't. For example during battles I only get the upgraded wraiths from the Necromancer castle but the walking deads (zombies) remain the same. Heroes with their speciality modified don't have the correct skills as shown in the mod itself. (i.e. Sanya still has eagle eye instead of destroy undead etc...)

What am I doing wrong? Could someone please tell me what are the exact steps and what do I need in order to successfully play HoLv3.2? It would be greatly appreciated.

You play with rebalanced factions active so you didn't use the right settings.dat. The mod should have zero byte files with scripts which can screw it, thus no matter the options selected, it works.

I asked about the Windows Vista because I encountered many times trouble with the installation on them, even with the right settings loaded. IF he is indeed trying to install it on Vista he should make a copy of his whole Heroes folder (the whole thing not just my mod) and place it in a new folder. If he starts the game from there it may work properly. I suggested this on my other thread too, though I didn't got any answer on whether it worked or no.

Hello,

  Thank you for the reply, I am simply positively overwhelmed of how fast you replied. I'm using Windows7.
  I ran a clean install (uninstalled everything H3 related) and did it again, all over, step by step. I installed SoD, started the game, checked menu, exited. Then I *properly* installed ERA II, did the same test. Afterwards I installed the Hero of Light mod v3.0 AND the proper New Objects patch v1.9 for it, following the guide more carefully.
  Eventually, after editing the WoG ingame options as instructed, everything works as it should! Everything displays as meant; there would be only one very, very small issue and it's more of question: while running a game (be it single or multiplayer) I experience small pauses, "frames" if you will during gameplay. Also, sometimes I press "E" for the end turn and the button icon seems pressed but I have to press "E" again in order for it to work. If anyone else is experiencing the same thing(s) and has found a sort of solution, please let me know, it would mean a lot.

   I would like to thank Hero again for this amazing mod and all the work/effort put into it. You sir are amazing! Cheers!

Greetings,


   While playing hot seat with my friends as we often do, we've encountered a problem, so to speak. The dungeons of the dragon master, former Dragon Utopias, are guarded by Kobolds now, which are real easy to beat and may make a game unbalanced and more based on luck rather than skill, sort of like whoever gets to an utopia first, gets the most powerful relics.
   Is there any way to make the Dungeons be guarded by powerful level 8 creatures/dragons again? Any option that needs to be ticked off so darkness dragons would re-appear? Thank you in advance!

Done. The Darkness Dragons (which I used to make the Kobolds) were replaced by Azure Dragons. It will be available in the next update.

Hi again

I've got mysterious problem with militia. They are... catapults! Stats are OK, .def too but there writes "Catapults", and when I try to buy them manually (without "buy all" button) game crashes. They have 2 hexes. I downloaded it from the first page. What is the problem?
