It just bothers me that it's the same as Apple, who sues New York over the big apple and tiny Luxembourg bistros (but not Applebees!).

Meanwhile having broken their promise to Apple Corp (The Beetles) to not sell music equipment.

The developers of the Skyrim Script Extender seem to have fixed the spell resistances bug introduced by the 1.02 patch before the developers even acknowledge the bug's existance.

Funny thing too cuz these guys don't even own the game. Heh.

All hail the PC master-race...

Oh and don't worry about installing this. The SKSE works with DLL Injections, it only modifies in-game memory and never touches the original files.

Great to hear =)

I look forward to getting the game of the year edition in a year and a half when this is all moot anyway

TBH... hubby and I just finally got Oblivion! We were that far behind on Elder Scrolls.

New Vegas GOTY cames out early next year too. Fallout 3 GOTY seems to have gone down to 20$ now too (but we already owned that)

We just can't afford to buy a game for the brand new pricing when in a year or two they wind up coming out with all the (major) DLC included for the same price or less.

Edit:

Also yes. Will be uploading the Oblivion Title Screen animated (as well as Morrowind finally. Only owned the game nearly a decade) on my Youtube within this week.

Edit2: The game does look very awesome though and I do look forward to it eventually. I'm actually less patient in real life, but when it comes to gaming I can seem like it due to finances.

Cool.

Get Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul for Oblivion.

Get Project Nevada for New Vegas.

Two quick tips to make the games 10x better

EDIT:

Gotta say the new Nexus Mod Manager system is fricking AWESOME. One click download and installation of mods... fully integrated with the Nexus sites... not bad.

EDIT2:

Aaaaand I installed my first mod for Skyrim...

My character in modified Thieves' Guild Armor.

The addiction begins.

EDIT3:

Anyone else noticed the game having worse performance since the patch? My game used to be super-smooth but now it stutters slightly in crowded areas.

My performance has dropped since the patch, and I've noticed that when using the novice destruction spells (Sparks, flames and Frostbite), if you kill an enemy with them, the corpse flies away like a ragdoll, which is a tad bit annoying after a while.

Creation Kit to be released in January, next patch coming next week

Let's see what we've got here...

Quote:
Steam Workshop – We’re excited to share news that we’ve been working closely with Valve to integrate Steam Workshop into the Creation Kit. Using the Workshop, you’ll have free user content with the push of a button.

Wait what? YOU BETTER NOT MAKE MODS SOME STEAM EXCLUSIVE **** YOU BAS-

Prefer to use existing modding sites? Not a problem. You’ll still be able to upload/share/access Skyrim mods on fan-created mod sites.

Oh. Well ok then. *hugs Nexus Mod Manager*

I had created and played a mage a few days ago that I was planning to play this weekend. With all the talk about the errors I may play something else instead until a few more patches come out.

Anyways, I have a question. Are the containers in the room you get when you join the mage college safe for storage? My young (level 1) mage gathered some alchemical supplies on the way to the college and I'd like to stash them to save on carrying capacity.

My mage is a Breton who so far has cast only conjuring spells (Bretons start with familiar.) He'll probably focus on conjuring, illusion, and alteration.

As far as I understand all chests that are not someone elses posessions(steal chests) are safe for storage. If you aren't sure about chests I know that at least the chest in front of High Hrothgar's main doors is safe for storage. I've stored my dragon bones in there from quite early in the game and they're still there.

@Darksy: As long as Valve doesn't start interfering with what kind of mods can be uploaded I'm ok with it. I will definitely use the Nexus instead, especially considering that the Workshop will very likely not have a load-order sorter.

The frost resistance still seem to apply, because while there's an immense pleasure to be found in burning a Flame Atronarch to crisps, the only thing that you get if you try to freeze an Ice Wraith is a one-way trip to Sovngarde.

Hmm... Steam Workshop will naturally not feature adult mods, which would in theory leave the Nexus with only one unique feature... adult mods.

However, I highly doubt that the Steam Workshop will be as flexible as the tools provided by the Nexus. Will the Steam Workshop have a mod manager? Load-Order Sorting Software? Script Extender? Error and conflict reporter? Auto-updating of mods? It'll take minutes for millions of kiddos to one-click-download hundreds of mods, get over 9000 conflicts and then run crying to Valve about "MODS BROKE MY GAME BUHU"

The Nexus will live on, and completely surpass anything that Steam's censored and limited system can provide.

This part of the Steam Workshop agreement is pretty terrifying for modders...

Quote:
Valve may choose to distribute Your Contribution for free and/or for a fee. If Valve chooses to distribute Your Contribution for a fee, then Valve may set the price for such distribution in its sole discretion, and Valve will pay You as follows, conditioned on Your compliance with the obligations contained in this Agreement.

Beginning with the calendar month in which Valve first distributes a copy of the Contribution for a fee, Valve shall pay to You twenty-five percent (25%) of the Adjusted Gross Revenue (defined below) actually received by Valve from Valve’s distribution of the copy of the Contribution during the calendar month. To the extent that the payment calculation results in a negative amount, that negative amount will be carried forward and deducted from any future amounts otherwise payable by Valve hereunder. Valve will remit payment in accordance with Valve procedures, currently net 30 paid in full. Please note that Valve may change procedures in the future, for example requiring a minimum amount to accumulate before making a payment. You also acknowledge and agree that other users, and Valve itself, may create other works that are similar to Your Contribution(s), and that Valve’s payment obligations under this Section 3 only apply with respect to the distribution of actual copies of Your Contribution(s).

Valve: "Oh look this mod has 10000 downloaders! Let's put a 5$ pricetag on that b**** and sell it as our own!"

Sure hope that stuff won't happen. If Valve gets the hold of the rights of a mod then it will be quickly taken off the Nexus and sold exclusively on the Workshop instead.

Remember, the Workshop was originally made for Valve games (Namely TF2) where they randomly pick user made hats and put them for sale.

Would be silly if they didn't adapt the agreement to fit Skyrim modding standards.

Still, I feel an inate fanboy need to FIGHT THE POWER.

Oblivion Title

If only there were animation on the title screens of the old elder scrolls games... hm... oooh! Next I'll do Dawn of War!

Weird thing about our CD-Key for Dawn of War 1, it starts with 42D2 and ends with 7331

The Nexus has served me well for years as my source for mods. I'll stick with it. Hopefully modders will rebel against STEAM's greedy scheme and just not submit their mods to STEAM.

Skjor is reborn!

Oh right, they messed up the whole Companion line after I've been through with it. I just sincerely hope nothing else is bugged.
