*spoiler*Blackreach is at the very bottom of the dwemer ruins west of Winterhold. Fast travel to Saarthal and then keep going west; the ruins are built into a big canyon in that area.

Where do the pheasants come from? You can see them hanging up in all kinds of kitchens and bandit camps, but you never see one in the wild...

The only downside to being an imperial storm mage is that whenever I kill a dragon they turn into the same tiny pile of ash. I kind of miss the nice big skeleton.

Is she, sitting down?! You wouldn't perchance mind also including the mod name or even a link to it (and your future juicy pics)?

I'd deeply appreciate it, especially since it's very likely that I'm getting Skyrim for PC (with my new comp coming n' all) and I'll need to compile a list of good/fun mods.

What? Me recommending mods to people? WHAT IS THIS HERETICAL SUGGESTION? I WOULD NEVER STOOP SO LOW AS TO LINK MO-

...

Oh right I've been doing that for like 50 pages, nevermind.

The mod is Dovahkiin Relaxes Too, it adds a power that makes your Dovahkiin interact with the enviroment when he/she uses it.

For example:

- warming your hands against a fire
- sitting down / laying down
- greeting other people
- hug your spouse

And so on. It's quite nifty for roleplaying as it's just a touch of a button, so it integrates very nicely into gameplay without messing with immersion like many "pose" mods do.

Here's my Nexus profile.

Tell me when you have the game and I'll compile a list of essential mods.

God bless you . (and I simply meant including mod names with pics, nothing so fancy as compiling a massive recommended list, for that has no substance per-se)

Ah but I like making recommended mod lists, if ya haven't noticed already.

Just state what ya want to see improved and I'll find it for you. I find it entertaining.

Just listing the mods used for that pic makes a massive list in itself hahaha... Here's the pic on the Nexus where I've listed the mods used, though I have many many more installed that aren't relevant to the pic.

I managed to find the narsil and anduril mod.

I'll be a knight errant lost in an untammed and wild land, I'll either bring chivalry and order to this land, or I will adapt myself into a roaming ranger, as wild and savage as the land, but nurturing at the same time.

Also I would kill something big and meaty for this

You could help me by locating either a similar or same armour set, or by finding me a juicy set of ranger clothing/armour. That is, if you're in a charitable mood

Charitable mood? More like "can't help my mod addiction".

Scout Armor

Nordic Hunter Light Armor

Vagabond Armor

And if you wanna be stylish and warm you will want Winter is Coming - Cloaks to complement most armor sets.

Don't think I've seen anything like that LoTR armor, but you might be interested in Hedge Knight Armor.

That armour was taken from some major rehaul project, some guys making the LOTR universe in skyrim, godspeed to them, but all I want is the juicy arsenal.

Edit: That last armour looks brutally good.

The cloaks will be lovely too, it's just soooo good, Skyrim is a good game, but to be able to transform it as you will and add such greatness, just makes me weep with joy

Now, gim'me gim'me what god hath given thou! (you'll have to excuse me, it's been a high-roller week for me)

P.S I've planned the purchase of the PC version for the longest time, planning and scheming, but even after that, pressing the button somehow felt as if it was done out of, impluse. The reason for this is, that for the past 7 years I've abandoned high spec demand games, Dark messiah was the last game that I've ever played, just hoping that my new PC can cut the butter of Skyrim

I'm not sure about the dynamic economy and the survival stuff. Eating, drinking, sleeping, etc. It's a big game and I think most people (including me) would quickly find it an annoying chore to have to go into the menu and eat a rabbit three times a day or suffer penalties and eventually starve to death. Same thing with the dynamic economy. I already find it annoying that I have to go to so many merchants just to sell all of the **** I accumulate over a single dungeon run. When I hit the Speech necessary to take the perk to sell whatever I want to any merchant I was like "Thank you Jesus", and even it's a lot of mundane work. I guess it's not quite as literally immersive, but I think I'd rather take my grandmother's advice on this one, "Use your imagination".

I suppose you could whip up a system that doesn't involve a lot of micro on behalf of the player. For example, as you travel through the game, your gold will naturally slowly depreciate as it is assumed you have to feed and water yourself. They could also expand it by making skills such as cooking or butchering more valuable than what they are. The reality is: a butcher or chef can turn over just as much coin as a blacksmith. Food is expensive in most places, especially subarctic climates with limited growing seasons. Plus you could tie it in with the alchemy skill and be able to make super steroid meals.

edit: LOL I just responded to Adrius's 2nd to last post on the first page. I guess I forgot to go to the final page.

...yeah... that was a long time ago ^^

Of course Survival is a niche thing, that's why it was an option in New Vegas that could be turned off.

Personally I don't find it annoying at all as long as you set the timescale down from x30 to at least x10. Time moves way too fast in vanilla for it to work properly.

Second this. I already forget to sleep most of the time; having my char randomly fall over dead because I ate all my venison for pack space would be annoying.

Now what I WOULD like to see is when the game wipes the stuff you sold out of the shopkeeper's inventory, to add, say, half the value of the item to their gold pool to represent them selling the stuff to some other poor fool. That way if you do business with the same shopkeeper a lot, they'll have the gold to actually afford to buy some of the expensive stuff you drop on them on a subsequent visit.

Eh you severely underestimate these survival mods.

You don't just randomly fall over dead, there are several visual and audio indicators that tell you what's wrong. You hear your stomach grumbling, your character coughs due to lacking water, he yawns when tired, your fatigue takes a hit from it all, your vision grows more and more blurred.

Combined with realistic wounds mods where if I took to much slashing I had to bandage my wounds to prevent slowly bleding to death (and bandaging couldn't be done in battle) and an enhanced diseases mod, Oblivion became a true game of survival where every move needed to be planned 'lest you end up dead due to a simple arrow in the knee.

Going out adventuring? How long will I be gone? Pack food and water for the trip, pack a bedroll and campfire gear for sleeping, pack bandages and healing potions, go to the Alchemist and get a cure disease potion just in case.

I understand it's not for everyone, but remember it's ALL about immersion, randomly falling over dead just doesn't happen in real life. They're designed to make you crawl in your own blood and misery before you eventually perish.
