Have a little faith guys. The developers are also fans of Heroes so they want to make a quality game as much as we want. I know that they don't share a lot of information with us ,but please, be optimistic.

With the latest announcement about the 5th faction, I don't think the game will be released in time and it's probably good news ... unless they have to spend 2 monthes altering the game and changing the 5th faction because of the leaks.

Games should always take the time they need, I don't know if H6 if perfectly ready to ship in 2 months but if they need more time they should take it imo.
The beta haven't even started and the longer they can have a beta the better and it would give them time to fix things like the numbers of heads on the cerberus.
So if they need more time and ubisoft is ready to give to them, then they should delay the release.
(Besides I they delay it I will have some time to play Dragon Age 2 which is also release in March.

If I get delayed in playing this game b/c the developers want to change the number of heads on a Cerebus, or the color of the Centaur stripes, then I'll be pretty pissed.
If the balance is pretty good, bugs are a minimum, and the game runs smooth, then I think they should publish it in a timely manner. Hopefully that still means March 11th, though you can count me amongst the ones of "little faith." They can always work on a patch once they release the game. Again, I'm not saying I want a dysfunctional game, but it doesn't have to be flawless. Anytime I've wanted a map that I'm making to be flawless I end up taking 4x as long to make it. That shouldn't happen with this game.
So Elvin, since Xhane said that they're delaying the announcement of the 5th faction by 2-months, and the game is 2-months from release, does that mean that they'll be revealing the 5th faction while they sell the game???
I'm not big into gambling, but I bet the game won't be released until mid/late July

I don't get why leaked information (more like leaked artwork) would affect the release date.. ?

So I take it they're not gonna release the map editor before the game after all. Damn. I mean, unless the game is delayed. Releasing the map editor would basically reveal the fifth faction (or be incomplete).

Don't worry. No enterprise would be so crazy to delay a game just because such minor things. It would be like saying goodbye to money just so they could cut off an hellhound's head to put it in a cerberus

I actually really hope it'll get delayed. Lots of games these days stayed true to their release dates, and I've noticed that these actually felt less complete that delayed ones. I want a game that I'll be playing for a decade like H3!
Either that or it's because I have exams the week after the release and I need the time to study

I think they need to take as much time as they can to make it a polished game and avoid the horrible path that Disciples 3 took.
Also DOW2: Retribution comes out March 1, and I want time to play that.

Don't be disappointed if there is a delay. It would actually be deeply unwise to oppose one. We really don't need a rushed installment of Heroes to remind us what happens when a game is hurriedly released with horrible, gaping flaws.

I would have hoped Ubisoft would be more accurate in their release date than "Stardock".

Xhane has just confirmed on Facebook that the game is set for Spring 2011. Also that the fifth faction will be released officially in March, so March 11th is no longer a realistic release date. This is pretty irritating; I haven't looked at the leaked art because I want to see them how Ubihole intended them, but I don't think I can go all the way to March not being able to follow half the discussions on here because I haven't seen them...

so pumped for H6 release but i definatley want it to be done right! i especially didnt like the so-slow engine that H5 gave us....black hole/ubi....get it done

So Xhane said in the official forums that the release is planned for String 2011. Dunno what she had in mind then but I think she meant Spring.
However she did not mention 'March 11' but she did say the final release date has not been decided yet.
