OK, so magic system...a short overview here, first, will try to work it out later this WE...
I've not 100%ly decided between the followin 2 systems:
A:
-3 basic kinds of magic: Elemental, Arcane, Vital
-Elemental deals with all kinds of matter, it's tranformation, use, move, calling, etc. It seperates into Fire, Water, Air and Earth
-Arcane deals with the immaterial forces and energies of the World and seperates into Meta, Mind, Chaos and Order
-Vital Magic deals with all that concerns the Circle of Life and Death, and thus seperates into these two
B:
-7 Magic schools: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Dark, Light, Aether
-factions have access to different approaches on magic, for example Nature Magic, Witchcraft, Scientific Magic/Scholaric Magic, Spiritual Magic,...
-Which spells are accessable in a town is probably defined by the approach, while the hero get access to certain schools (or yet the other way round^^ or nothing of this)^^
any preferance?^^

My interests lie in that direction or I'm more likely to choose A over B if given a choice.

ah, ok
EDIT: I'm still thinking. Both have their pros and cons. The first leads to very generalized magic-skills, probably. The second on the other hand may be a bit confusing for players...
EDIT2: Magic and Spell Laerning System on
EDIT3: starting with spells soon...part of the Tutorial Campaign is on (but maybe this will be changed completely!)
Also, opinions on the differences in spell learning and general magic system would be highly welcome!!!
...Bastion Elite-Lineup will be changed. mammoth and/or Sabretooth will go. (Armoured) Bears will come. maybe I'll even name them "Panserbjorne", but probably that's too much of a stealing...if both go, maybe some different unit will come...Einherjar...

Basic Ideas for the bear:
Armoured Bear
""
~
Appereance:
A large, Greyish Bear, fierce-looking and wearing a bronce-coloured armour. a bit like these, of course:
Stat Summary:
Good on any stat
Growth: very very low for elite
Creature Type: Living, beast
Abilities: Large (2*1),
Strategical:
Very strong creature, a bit more reliable than some other Bastion units.
EDIT: maybe the bear will not be bastion but an expansion factipons unit-...
EDIT2:
changed some things...
-Factions only have one basic hero class now.
-all factions have a specific moat and one special defensive building.
Comments are still appreCiated

So looking at the magic here (which was (recently?)) added,) I have some suggestions for some spells, namely the Lvl 5 air, earth and fire spells.
Air: Tempest; Lowers enemy movement and deals small damage to enemy fliers for a few turns.
Earth: Stone form; Target enemy stack is unable to act for X amount of turns or until attacked.
Fire: Incinerate; Deals massive fire damage to a target creature that cannot be healed. Slain creatures cannot be revived.
On to the other spells, you've done a good job sir. Kept to the traditional roles nicely and added some new blood here and there. Keep up the good work man.

Thank You Both for the feedback and the ideas. Tempest is good and Incinerate is really great! Stoneform seems to me a bit weak for L5...I consider making it the earth L3 spell...
anything you want to see next here? Upgrades? Abilities? A Campaign?

Enter: Tutorials. The first mission, a good idea is to make the faction human (for easy control) and to give the player a rather easy first taste. *Claps*
Now, the unlocking... are both scenarios happening at the same time, or is it linear?

the Tutorial will be seperated from the main campaign. Still the first Campaigns will be definitely quite easy, especially the first scenarios, to get you into playing. I originally did not want Castle as one of the first campaigns, but it happened storywise.
Quote: You now get acces to Scenarios M1.1 and M1.2
They are happening simultaneously, you can choose, which one you play first. You have to finish both, to get to the next scenario.

Henryk seems to be the better man of the three, maybe not as good of a warrior, but definitely a better man. The campaigns themselves are good for this type of game, with the difficulty apparently going up very quickly from the start. You would have to get used to this faction quickly, or at least, that's the impression that I'm getting.

Thank you I hope that!
As for who of the three is the better man...time will show
What do you think about the variable part? I mean where you choose which brother you play in one scenario and that you end up with the other in the next?
Will add more of this campaign this evening. And maybe the start of the Rampart Campaign. After that, I have not decided if I continue with Haven, Palace or Ruins Campaign or with somehting altogether different (heightening the suspence )
EDIT@gnomes: Concerning the difficulty curve, you're definitely right. The starting scenarios are both very easy, the next one is more difficult and the next one should be quite a challenge.

It is a short and good ending to the campaign, with your forces being about equal to the enemy's, I would think that the difficulty would be a bit easier. Not knowing what happens or why Gavin cries out things like "traitor" at the end is good for building tension. All in all, a good campaign.

Thanks Gavins outburst will be explained. However, next, we will first look at a different region of the continent, on a vast, old forest...
EDIT: ok...since I'm closing to some exams now, I seem not to have the creative energy for making nice scenarios (and writing them down nicely). Thus, I'll do some other things for now, and continue with the Rampart Campaign in February...
EDIT2: Added the main skill descriptions and the Academy Creature Abilities. Comments? ...shoudl I maybe better post the abilities with the creas?
