I first started playing Heroes around the time 3 came out, so I would have been 8 or 9. Of course I wasn't very good.
I played it because my dad had played the previous heroes games, so I remember watching him when I was even younger.

My friends older brothers were playing Kings Bounty and I saw them playing when I was something like 5. It looked sooooo awsome! Next step was heroes 3 when I was about 10. I got my own Kings Bounty at something like 19 and currently I think it's fairly annyoing game compared to heroes 3.

Well I've seen other mentions of King's Bounty, so obviously that's fair game (and also my introduction to HOMM). When did that come out, right around 1990, right? That would put me at around 14 years old. Crap I'm old....
Played every iteration of this game down the line, but HOMM2 was where my friends and I spent the majority of our time. Just recently got my hands on the HOMM3 Chronicles, and I'm thinking HOMM3 will eventually supplant HOMM2 as my most played.

This is my first post on this whole forum and i only discovered it today and im not sure if this is the right way to reply to a thread or anything please forgive me if this is the wrong way.
I played it when i was 7 yrs old, my dad played it a lot at the time and sometimes he would let me play it but i was horrible...basically he would tell me what to attack, were to go, what to build, ect so i just did the clicking. Then World of warcraft came out and he forgot about Homm 3 but i keep playing.

Wow...
Anyways, I was about 9-10 tops at the time.
And BOY, those were the days.
Heroes 3 didn't age at all since then (unlike me, though).

My first encouter was Homm III demo version, I was arround 11 then. I remember calling it a stupid game because I could not move. A few weeks later I opened the demo again and discovered the "end turn" button.
I'm hooked ever since.

I was 5 when I first played HOMM 3  and I remembered I always was to afraid to play Necropolis , because I was so scared from the music and the creatures there

I was around 5-6 http://heroescommunity.com/images/icons/icon19.gif. started from homm 1 then 2, but i think the best is the third one. Ive no idea to play it by online,http://heroescommunity.com/images/icons/icon35.gif anyone would like to give direction for it? Ive play it for 12 years, but those games are offline mode. haha but, the game still exciting!http://heroescommunity.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Around 12 or 13 my brother offered me H3 =P Endless nights with Tower faction.. Still playing with ERA II =)

I first played it when I was in my late 20s, HoMM 1 or 2, can't recall (maybe both), in the late 90s I think.
I bought the Millenium Edition I think in 2000 or thereabouts? Can't exactly remember.
After a while, life got in the way, and the games fell by the wayside.
I always remembered the cartoonish sound the Vampire made in HoMM2, though - so a few weeks ago I dug the games up just to show my son and my girlfriend how the Vampire would do that stereotypical "Bluh!" sound.
So, I can now officially say that my son first played it (HoMM2, also a little HoMM3) when he was 6. He really enjoys it.
