Not really. I have no idea as to the cause of that error.
Make sure your internet connection is working and run the game updater before starting the program.

I have to reinstal the game cuz it is crashing "stops working" every time i try to play it...or I still can't play it?

Wow there, game updater? Do i find that before or after install. Coz problem is my install doesnt finish. If before install, where do i find this game updater? Thanks
Edit: Btw im using Vista 64 and just noticed that update for Vista (hot fix) in the Read Me file. What does that do and could it help me with my problem?

Am I really the only one that gets the message that uplay is unavailable? Because then it must be something on my end, but I can't think of any of the settings that could be wrong...
Am still really looking forward to playing this...

I've been getting the same problem. Might as well wait until the other beta goes open on the 28th before screwing around too much.

Damnit. I'm getting a "the game has stopped working" error on start-up and Uplay isn't available apparently.
Too bad, I was looking forward to this all day.

Talk about dissapointement, some cant download, some cant install(me), some cant open game, some have crashes. well looks like this is a perfect pre-beta
EDIT: btw if anyone knows how to solve my problem plz tell me. Ill be checking forums regularly. AT LEAST lets hope the beta on 28th will work...

I was able to get it downloaded without much hassle, but after downloading 2 updates for it, everytime I tell it to run it clicks up with the update box again, pretends to download a 24 kb update, finishes, closes, and nothing happens. It just repeats this over and over no matter how many times I click it or how I go about trying to start it.

It took me a while as well...as most of you saw in my former posts, but eventually after redownloading 4 times it worked.
try redownloading.
also:
I can't connect to uplay, any reason why?

You probably can't connect to uplay because this is just a beta, and they don't want you connecting to Uplay while you're playing something that's ostensibly confidential.
Of course, I'm assuming that's the case because I'm not being connected to Uplay either. I imagine no one is.
That said, the download finished successfully, no hiccups during installation, and the game runs fine. I have some concerns about the UI, but I think this server stress test is designed to test the strength of the server, not to provide feedback on the game itself, so I'll wait until the public beta before voicing my concerns more fully.

I had this issue as well. I can change all settings, but not the general quality. Is anyone able to change it?
Regarding uplay, I don't think anyone is connected, they don't want you to give feedback on this verison, that's not the point of this testing. But you can chat with other players while playing. Just play, and you'll find out how eventually.

Yes you can, as long as you're only logged in on one computer at a time. We have until 28th of june, give or take a few days, when the public beta starts.
