Fire Emblem: Echoes

While it's an aperitif before Fire Emblem 'Switch', I am eagerly awaiting this. To tell you the truth FE: Fates was ultimately disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game that I enjoyed, but I don't like the changes which were made. I don't like the pairing system (mainly opponent pairing), I don't like how they nerfed magic (making glass cannons into useless ranged units) and I don't like the 'fates' idea with branching story, especially because it was coupled with not-so-good plot. Plus there's a lot of repetitvness here, in each of the three games you visit the same locations. And, worst of all, this might be simply be a 'root problem' coming from me as I'm more and more bored with games in general, but this was the first FE game that I needed to force myself to complete...

And Echoes, although it's "Classic FE with a twist" (the game had some unique features that didn't stay with the series), seems like exactly the classic FE games that I enjoyed the most.

For Honor is apparently not that bad. The graphics and world building are great, combat system seems fun but maybe a bit imbalanced. I'd give it a try if it weren't 59,99.

Currently, I am looking forward to some games:

ELEX, a postapocalyptic RPG, made in germany.
Made by a company which games never failed to entertain me.

Anything to Total War Warhammer.
Still a lot of the world is to fill.

Spellforce 3.
After a Long time, the next part comes to life.

Wow, GOOGLED, "SpellForce 3" is released, but suddenly the system requirements is much above ma' old-machine, and in addition the price. Well, better to wait, a year or two, and then play (well if I will still be alive _ I am sorry for dark humor... )

I have finished "Divine Divinity" - the game is unbalanced on the max. difficulty setting, the warriors close combat is super weak  - so if you want to play this game on the max difficulty - don't pick pure close combatant, or you will obtain a very hard an long walktrough....

but in general the game was fun, lot of thing to explore - if you like to explore the entire plots, the every corner etc.. Something like a "Sacred".

I think this is the Fire Emblem game I've been waiting for a long time. Classic, without pairings, children, weak mages (and some strange inventions like scrolls) and likeable protagonists. Monsters are back (well more variety at least), plus I'm interested in this dungeon crawling aspect, might be a cool addition.

This will be a nice warm-up before the Switch Fire Emblem game.

No doubt it is absolutely fantastic, alas no time for me yet. The good news is I'll probably get it on sale along with the console.

Nice video. I felt something was off about two latest (aside from the Mobile one) entires in the Fire Emblem Series.

And here's the thing. I absolutely can't call myself a die hard fan of the series, but I can palce myself in the niche the guy is talking about. I'm really hoping this 'experiment' as he calls it will work out and we will have more 'traditional' FE games. I do feel that Echoes will be close to a Fire Emblem game I've been waiting for since Radiant Dawn.

And I'm really divided here: on one hand I don't like the potential way this series might go if they will need to appease a broader audience, but without this the series will probably go back to the state it was a few years back.

Ofc I already preorder Echoes Limited Edition, this time as soon as it showed itself in the shop (it already sold out in USA).

Does anybody knows how to download ~15 GB of data of "Sacred 2", via ~5 KiB / sec connection data transfer speed??????????????? The legal copy, that I have legally bought, thanx to STEAM/GOG, but too poor that I have no money for the normal, physical copy of the game with a cool plastic box, etc . I mean

I must save the peoples of Ankaria from a bad mistakes and a poor fate ^^.

P.S. The game is not so easy, as you can see at the first look, actually on max possible difficulty - 1 death and the Game Over is, from the beginning, so this is a hard! RPG

An actual finished and fully polished Stalker game would be nice. nah, Lost Alpha and such don't count, still a glitch fest and the feeling of an unfinished product(yes, I'm aware they're mods).

Maybe a Stalker: Fukushima, with hardcore banzai action instead of intense cheeki breeki. One can only dream.

Somebody should trade some guns and ammo with the dev company for the rights of the franchise. Throw in some salo and vodka for good measure.

Also, I've heard Borderlands 3 is on it's way as well.

don't like the games like a "Stalker" - don't like violence depicting in the pc-games, + bad memories etc. <imo> the human civilization is violent enough, no need for such stuff in the PC-games, at least for frostysh.
In addition, "Stalker" is full of the su-guys ppg-content, if you know what I mean.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Happened to see this by chance through Nintendo Direct. Call me interested! A traditional JRpg style game with cool art made by the original comics author.

Other then that I definately want to play Persona 5 as it turned out to be the best in the series I have always wanted to try out, but never had the chance to do so. Unfortunately I can't find a window for it as first I need to finish Horizon ZD, and there are still Mario Kart 8 and Fire Emblem Echoes in line. Sigh... maybe in summer.

The Misery mod makes Call of Pripyat a near-RPG and in terms of atmosphere and feel, it is The Mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., so good that it makes you think that this is how the game was meant to look like all the time (minus the absurd difficulty at times maybe). Do try it if you haven't already.

Nah, you don't like Stalker series, because of setting, and a reminder that ukrainians screwed up big time on their nuclear power plant, which arguably is the safest form of mainstream power generation, if maintained properly and not placed on natural disaster zones.

Also, thanks for the recommendation Zeno. Will look into it once my spring semester is over.
