Some unique faction buildings I like:

Inferno Infernal gate: acts as one way teleporter
Sanctuary Shrine of Celestial Waters: 15% effectiveness for Air & Water magic for the week
Stronghold Warpath Lodge: +3 movement after each combat for the week
Haven Statue of Revelation: Reveals an area of adventure map

i think you can only talk about your patience. Personally i rather have them make it good as something hurried becouse they let people whom get impatient pressure them.

and around this time of year there are somany new releases it cant be hard to spend time waiting for a patch.

You mean like releasing the game in an unfinished state?

Considering that most of the comments prior to the release were screaming "Hold it, HOLD IT, don't release the bloody thing before you fix it", it is completely improper to talk about "hurrying" them. I don't know about the Facebook mob though and they were reading only what's written there...

Well this is more rule as exeption these days. somehow this feels especially true for tbs games. and then there is also the problem that they gave a release date to start with. And then pushed it back a couple of times, eventualy you cant push back anymore.

Maybe Ubihole should have just released the game in March 2011 when it was originally intended, jokes

Anyway, let's not get our panties in a knot about this, remember Heroes is not a popular game (like Starcraft or WoW) so the efforts for a bugless game are not as good....it will take time for a perfect H6....

That's what I always loved about Heroes games, they were games that not everyone knew....

Alot of people where I'm from prefer the adrenalin fast-paced FPS and that's what's the most popular in online gaming...
Also, everyone knows Warcraft when you mention it, but not everyone knows Heroes. It's popular yes, but not like Warcraft/Starcraft.

Back in the 90s, it was my then girlfriend that introduced me to Heroes II.  This was probably the one good thing that came out of this relation! (just kidding, we're still friends today, and still playing Heroes II!)

I have difficulties finding someone who has. It does top the charts here with every single release though.

Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but i wanted to say that now, arround 1 month affter H6 release, i can clearly say that H6 is NOT the one that will replace H3 for me.

I was almost sure from begin on, and now i'm totally sure, Heroes needs to be in 2D. Nothing can replace the great overview from the first 3 heroes that have been made in 2D for me. What do you gain from the 3D ? for me nothing ! but uglier graphics that you have to scale at the right zoom to make look the thing ok, When you could have get some great 2D graphics that you simply don't have to scale at all.

I know, a lot will probably not think like me, ah well then i congratulate you for having found a great game for you. Myself i'll just stop having hope of one day having a great successor of my all beloved H3. Guess it's a mather of taste, and my taste goes probably not along the majority.

Have fun with the game, i'll play another one.

Yeah, 2D was cool but it's dated now.....I much prefer 3D...but I think you clearly see everything better (except past your silly flag above your hero)

Don't get me wrong Heroes 1 and 2 are my favorites and you couldn't even see the enemy hero on the minimap and Heroes 1 you only saw areas of the map where you had flagged a mine or castle or something you had control over (think a woodmill had a little seeing area around it)...

Actually they could create completely hand drawn 2D maps and objects. I believe that if done right (Yeah, "done right" isn't UbiHole's specialty, I know...), they would look very beautiful and pretty passable. Hand drawn environments in video games these days are considered very artistic.

The pros would be that there would be no spot alike in any of the maps. Everything would be unique with the exception of interactive objects, I suppose...

The cons would be, well, how does one would go about creating their own maps then through editors and RMG? Maybe the could chop the maps into "parts" for the sake of the editor but that would make them lose their uniqueness.
