A multiplayer Elder Scrolls-type game. Not Massively Multiplayer, but regular multiplayer.
Imagine something like Oblivion or Skyrim, except the game runs continuously, and instead of closing the game, you log out. You can share a game world with a few (up to 4?) friends, who can go around competing quests, either cooperatively or independently of each other. The state of the world would be shaped by the actions of the player characters, so you could hear NPCs talking about something like, "Did you hear about the hero of Kvatch?", a reference to your friend saving Kvatch. Depending on the players' choices, they could become allies, enemies, or not need to interact at all.
