Alright everybody, glad to have you with us. Post some character sheets, and get auto-approved. Seriously.

For those of you who don't know the format yet, this is what I'm looking for:

Name: Bold this please.
Biography: A quick history of your character.
Equipment: A quick list of your weapons/ armor/ miscellaneous pocket lint fuzz. Include special properties where needed.
Powers: Spells and special abilities that they do not need equipment to use. This also includes your characters ability to fix certain bugs in the program (be a bit specific, like "Offensive spells", "Defensive spells", "Weapons", "Movement", etc.)

(If anything is against the rules, just say so, and I'll edit it out)

Name: Bob

"Physical" appearance: Anthropomorphic walrus

Biography: Originally just the background vocalist of the NPC band "There's no place like N0me", he was hacked by the lead programmer's son,(Dave) who turned him into a PC. Since then, numerous attempts were made to remove him from the game altogether, - after all, nobody in the target audience likes sentient walruses - but because of the teenager's l33t skillz, (and lineage, but don't You tell him that), these failed. (However, these attempts led to Bob developing extreme paranoia, which is now one of his core personality traits.)
After having witnessed the initial klutzyness of his creation, Dave took pity on him, proceeding to hack him a few qualities that he thought would be enough for Bob to survive on his own, and maybe even play a beneficial part in the Beta, if he so chose. (Unfortunately, by the time of the pivotal hacking session, Dave was already very exhausted, so he made a few now incorrigible mistakes.)
He turned Bob into a kind of assassin, augmenting the protective capabilities of his skin, and as he is uncomfortable with conventional weapons,(Though Bob's mutated front flippers can grab and hold most objects, they are very clumsy, and thus, are not exactly suited to armed combat)  Dave opted to instead reinforce his tusks. Always preferring ranged combat in these kinds of games, he created a special bow for Bob- the only bow he will ever be able to use efficiently, as Dave actually had to bypass the usual battle mechanics, (which would normally prohibit the use of bows and other two-handed weapons for characters lacking appropriate appendages) in this case, and this case only. He instilled a love of sneaking around in Bob - admittedly not the cleverest of moves in the case of anthropomorphic walruses weighing 1.5 tons. The result is that whenever possible, Bob now prefers to attack undetected, slitting the throats/other vital organs of unsuspecting victims - which is to say, almost never, as he is pretty noticeable. Nevertheless, it is now his ambition to eventually master the art of camouflaging himself, if at all possible.
The only characters he keeps track of are the members of his former band - though he dreams of one day somehow returning to them, they now regard him as an outsider, a PC(which he is, thanks to Dave), and thus, they have kicked him out of the band.
Distraught, and deeply saddened, he wandered aimlessly around the world for (in-game) months, barely surviving, nowhere welcome, perpetually scorned, before one day becoming aware of several innate changes to his character and person. Overwhelmed, and frightened, he slowly familiarized himself with his new capabilities,(and pseudo-weapon) though their origin baffles him to this day, and he is determined to find out why and how he changed. The bow he found strapped on his back one morning as if it belonged there, he took an instant, if strange liking to. He was quick to find other uses for it, when it turned out to be useless as a weapon- a sign of a possible higher purpose, according to his current theory. In its quiver, he keeps a couple of decoy arrows, and a few useful trinkets -rope, a torch, string, lockpicks, flint, etc.
Bob always felt out of place, even in his days as a vocalist, but ever since he started adventuring, he sometimes had the feeling someone was out to get him-sometimes, he would randomly lose consciousness only to find himself wake up (in-game) days, if not weeks later, in places he never even knew existed, with no memory of how he got there, and the deep, primal urge to hide. Though these episodes stopped after the first few months, (roughly around the time he found his bow), they left him deeply distrustful of everything and everyone. He now seeks to understand what happened to him, and what is expected of him - for of that something is, he is sure.

Equipment:
-A huge, curved, black bow with an assortment of fiery runes scattered all over it, whose possible meaning is a mystery to all(Even to Bob, though he pretends otherwise), which was clearly meant to be sufficiently OP to give Bob a fighting chance; Its range and power are supposed to be superior to all the other available bows, any projectile fired by it should lock onto the intended target(s), and it is uncommonly light. Unfortunately, for some reason, it cannot be drawn, so these qualities remain unconfirmed, except for its apparent weightlessness. The reason why Bob holds onto it (willingly, for he seems unable to lose it) is twofold; Since it looks very threatening, its mere presence is usually enough to avoid a fight altogether (Of course, no one apart from Bob knows that as a weapon, it is currently useless), and Bob secretly hopes against hope that one day, he will learn how to fix it, and therefore use it. Though he wouldn't admit it, it is actually his most prized possession - the base of his belief that things happen to him for a reason he may once uncover.

-A pair of long, slightly curved tusks, his primary means of self-defense aside from his strong front fins. He now uses them expertly to ward off all kinds of attackers -which is made easier by the fact that since his general buffing by Dave, they are unbreakable and coated in a potent poison, which immediately weakens and slows injured attackers, eventually (in most cases, after thirty-odd minutes) rendering them incapable to fight or escape.
The poison is a kind of emergency weapon- at most three or four doses are available at any given time, and once these are exhausted, Bob has to wait a couple of hours for it to be replenished by his glands.

He carries no armor, as his wrinkled, naturally thick skin makes it difficult for ordinary weapons to cause him serious harm - it is not impossible, it just requires more force than usual to wound him, and, given his size, he can easily shrug off the first few blows. In addition, Dave modified his "skin"'s stats, so that it is now considered to be the equivalent of a moderately good set of light armor by the program.

-His whiskers are an invaluable asset: They offset his rather weak eyesight, and allow him to move swiftly(at least swiftly for his size) and surely in near-absolute darkness. They are very vulnerable, and Bob doesn't even dare think about what would happen to him without them. He is very proud of them, as they look very impressive.

-A quiver filled with various useful miscellaneous items(rope, string, knife, hook, torch, flint, crude lockpicks, etc.) as well as a dozen of steel-tipped arrows.

Powers, abilities
-A very beautiful singing voice(Think early Kareen Meshagan)
-Unbreakable tusks, which may be poisoned if the need arises - the poison may be harvested from his glands, and can be used separately(for a limited time, before it goes bad. If it does go bad, it smells strongly of honey, but ingesting it causes no apparent side effects. Taste yet unknown), if Bob so chooses, though this temporarily depletes his reserves, with all its usual consequences
-Thick, armor-like skin, which keeps him warm even in the coldest of environments
-The ability to swim underwater for long periods of time-even under a layer of ice, like most walruses
-Possesses a bow and a quiver from which he cannot be separated for long-if he is disarmed, or leaves them behind etc, they automatically respawn in his inventory  shortly afterwards
-The ability to stand upright, though he prefers to move around on four(slightly mutated, hence "anthropomorphic") fins
-Senses nearby movement and objects, thanks to his whiskers
-Is shortsighted
-Advanced cognitive ability- he is quick to react, and can improvise
relatively easily (A bit like MacGyver)
-Hastily hacked together- at any given time, the above powers may randomly(read:whenever the GM says so) change, stop working, produce unexpected results, be weakened/intensified/reversed or otherwise glitch out for a limited time. ADDENDUM: Not only his powers, but Bob himself can be affected by this. He is not automatically aware of these glitches- for example, he needs to see his reflection before he can realize that he turned pink.

So, that would be Bob.

Lord Vader
posted February 18, 2012 01:00 AM

Name: Phallicus Maximus
Bio: Originally supposed to be a boss in a gladiatorial arena, Phallicus Maximus was at the last minute changed into an NPC hero, but didn't bother to change anything, leaving him with the stats and armament of a boss, but a severe lack of special abilities, with there being only 2 official ones, and one unofficial special ability.
Appearance: Phallicus is huge for a human NPC character (being that he was a boss), and wears a Roman looking skirt, sandals, and bracers. But no shirt. The creator made him look extremely ripped as well as placing a large bulge where Phallicus's crotch would be.
Weaponry: Phallicus has a massive bronze shield...and a very small dagger that was actually intended to be a large sword, but the creator didn't get the sizing right. Of course Phallicus could also use his large muscular arms to pummel his enemies. His creator was also going through an anime phase at the time of his creation, so his face looks very anime.
Abilities: Shield Bash- Phallicus uses his oversized shield to bash his enemy, dealing damage and stunning them.
Super Battle Cry- Phallicus yells at the heavens as his long black hair spikes up, turns golden yellow, and a cheesy guitar solo plays in the background. Phallicus can only activate this when he looks like he is losing. It boosts his stats and gives him the ability to shoot bolts of energy from his hands. The louder he yells, the stronger he becomes.
Lag Out- Phallicus's file size is so huge, that sometimes he'll lag out of the game momentarily and appear somewhere else. He uses this to his advantage as a psuedo-teleport/invisibility power.

Name: Polly
Appearance: A parrot with beautiful plumage... also, dead.
Biography: Originally made as the PC's guide in the virtual world, Polly the talking ex-parrot was quickly scrubbed and his creator sacked because both were annoying as hell. Unbeknownst to the management, however, Polly was originally written in Python before his code was transferred to the program's language. This of course led to a multitude of bugs that among other things gave Polly total freedom and having died once already, he refused to get deleted from the program. He now "vooms" around the game world pulling silly pranks on his inhabitants and generally messing with everyone's minds.
Equipment: Beautiful plumage and a couple of nails stuck in his feet.
Powers: Naturally, no powers were coded in for a guide, but it is one of the buggiest creatures in the program and those bugs sometimes manifest themselves as random powers. Also, being already dead, the only way he can "die" to respawn again is if he's disintegrated or something like that. (unless the bugs kick in again)

Guess Who is Back?
posted March 01, 2012 09:17 PM

Name: B-E-T-A (Bugged Elevated Terrain Animation)
Biography: In an attempt to fix the game, one of the games programmers took a piece of terrain(namely a pile of bones from the dragon's cave) and gave it life and purpose! He wrote a complex program for the terrain piece, making sure it had the smarts to adapt and deal with any bugs, glitches or problems it might encounter on it's journey to fix the game. Unfortunately for him, this complex program also included a "self-preservation" code. This made his creation self-aware, with feelings, emotions and all that unneccesary stuff! Being smart as it was, "B-E-T-A"(as it decided to call itself) realized that if he ever actually completed his mission and fixed the game, the programmer would erase his code and thus permanetly "kill" B-E-T-A. Thus B-E-T-A, acting on it's self-preservation code decided not to travel the land the land fixing bugs, but instead travel the land causing as much michief as possible! But seeing as it is in his code, B-E-T-A can't help but fix the bugs and glitches he encounter on his way...yeah...
Appearance: B-E-T-A was originally a piece of the background terrain in a the cave of a terrible dragon! Namely the huge pile of bones of people who had died at the dragon's hand. Unfortunately for B-E-T-A this means he has absolutely NO ANIMATIONS what-so-ever and is therefore depicted as just a LARGE, LEVETATING, PILE OF BONES!
Equipment: None.
Powers: B-E-T-A is a huge flying pile of bones. Lots of bones. This means that he can change into(read: put himself together and become) a large vareity of skeletar creatures, from lowely humanoids to great monsters! In fact, he is able to become pretty much any skeleton-based creature that exist in the MMORPG, even those who are more powerful than the dragon that inhabited his origin cave(the programmer cheated!), and quite a few that DON'T exist in the MMORPG(don't ask). When changed into one of these creatures B-E-T-A also gains the abilities of said creature, be he/she a mage, warrior, rogue or dragon! He also spontanously gain armour, weapons and equipment if his new form has such things.
On top of all this, B-E-T-A also has a strange ability that allows him to fix a multitude of bugs and glitches by ramming into them as a pile of bones. He is not sure how this helps fixing the programming though...
