imo, CH is negative as well...it appears a number of forum veterans did not even buy H6, which is also similar to HC...& CH hardly has any posts at all.
gameplay is pretty hard to discuss until patch 1.2 at the very least. Players at HC seem more advanced/discerning than other forums.
But yeah having competitions can't be bad (even tho I don't participate)...competitions/announcements in forums are much better than facebook or twitter
I would wager if they did play the devs in a duel competition that the quality of a player from HC would be better than one from CH or Ubi forum or facebook [but not better than someone from Russian forums].
There is one person from developer communicating, but only on a very specific subject.
edit: I also dislike the term/word which combines both ubisoft & black hole together into one word...just doesn't seem respectful somehow due to second syllable.

I agree that Ubihole sounds disrespectful.
It really sounds like you're referring to an oraface of sorts.
Kalah and the crew at CH I think are just more active on their actual Heroes site side of things. They have more going for them that way than just the forum.

You could always do what I did, cook up a few competitions that require minimal to no work from the one who organizes it and leave the rest to the judges  People get the presents, forum gets a boosted activity and none's the wiser. Irina would happily hand out gifts if we asked.
