Reputation not advancing in campaigns
So, I decided to wait until the 1.2 patch came out before starting the campaigns. I wanted to make sure most of the major bugs were cleared before wasting my time.
Now that I've begun, I am noticing that while I am gaining reputation in both Blood and Tears, I've yet to reach the level where the hero changes class. So far I've played both Prologues, Stronghold 1, Sanctuary 1, and Haven 1. My reputation advances, but there just doesn't seem to be enough fights or tasks to get me high enough to advance my class.
Am I doing something wrong here or is this normal to not reach these levels yet?

Quite normal. Since the missions you play have DIFFERENT heroes, they start from zero points. You need at least 250 points.
Usually, in mission 2 you will get enough. You have to click the Arrow to "upgrade" your rank.

Alc are you going to refer him to the FAQ topic, or shall I spare you the trouble.
Just for the record, Reputation is calculated separately for each hero. Hence you can for instance have two Tears Heroes and three Blood Heroes during the campaigns.

While the FAQ doesn't specifically cover this question, it did bring up another question.
So, if we want to unlock all the heroes available, would we have to play through the campaigns twice (once as Blood and once as Tears) to gain access to different companions?

Completing the campaigns has only unlocked the five protagonists for me, not the heroes who join you depending on reputation. Didn't check if their portraits are unlocked though.

Okay, cool. I am only playing the campaign so I can unlock some heroes because frankly I couldn't give a rat's ass about the story. It would have been really annoying if they expected people to play through numerous times to get more bonuses.

something I would really like is the option to use the portraits of special heroes for your custom heroes
