HC RP Season 2 OOC
Hello boys and girls. Recently I took a trip down memory lane and remembered a thread which was very close to my heart HC RP (OOC thread). The RP was extremely freeform and fun.
To save you the trouble of reading it - the world is HC and characters are our own HC personas. Our powers and strengths and weaknesses are derived directly from those personas and general HC lore. Don't read too much into the opening posts of the HC RP OOC thread, we ended up playing it completely differently.
Anyway, I want to try and revive that idea. I talked to Adrius and we can use his HC Adventure idea of crazy Mods taking over HC as the premise for our RP (Maybe this can even give Ad some ideas for his game if he's still making it *hint hint*).
Like I said earlier this is meant to be extremely free-form, but I guess I can provide basic GM support if needed. If I'll get a few more participants I'll open up an IC thread.
Come on and join in, this will be as fun as we make it!

Maybe, but the last RP we were in together (One Piece RP) was incredibly fun while it lasted. And who knows maybe our curses will cancel each other out.
A short description of... well, me:
Name: Geny
Description: A former Spam Lord and a liaison to Pandora, Geny is now retired and watches HC from afar. He is well respected by the veterans of HC, both spammers and quality posters, but the new generation knows nothing of his adventures.

We never actually used our sides and specialties last time. I'd prefer it if people just stick true to their HC persona, that way the side will be self explanatory and you can invent any specialties you like as long as they fit you.

I also added a list of mods and their current whereabouts in the first post, but this is not set in stone. I just wanted to give everyone a common ground to start from.
One more thing: while this RP is meant to be as free-form as possible, the basic courtesy rules of RPing still apply.
Don't use other people's characters without their consent.
Also, don't make yourself all-powerful. It just isn't fun. For anyone. Besides, I promise you that if you stay in character and use your head there's no situation you can't get out of.
Let's have some fun.

Description: Originally coming to the community to pray by the Altar of Wishes, B-E-T-A soon(like, after 6 months or so) moved out of the Altar an into the Glade, where he would make his hideout out of bricks. From there, B-E-T-A has participated and seen the destruction of many an theater show, as well as making his rutinely visits to the Tavern, which he has to cross the wastelands to get too. (He also made a special TV set to watch the OSM from afar).

Bio: One fine day, in the middle of the night, a strange feeling of being watched came over the residents of HC. Try as they might, they could never quite pinpoint the source of this feeling, but since it caused no other apparent ill effects, they got used to it relatively quickly.
And thus, the being began roaming the as yet peaceful land of Heroes Community.
For a long time, it was content to observe. Hiding in plain sight, it toured the various districts, familiarizing itself with this bizarre, alien world. From his refuge in a secluded corner of the Wastelands - whose noxious fumes often reminded it of the home he’d been mysteriously taken from by an unseen, but powerful force - it toured to much of the realm. It was a frequent, if unseen visitor of the Library, where he soaked up as much knowledge as it could, intending to prepare itself for whatever this world could throw at him,little by little warming up to its ad-hoc prison in the process.
In the chaos caused by the recent flurry of events, it seeks to either return to its homeland, or failing that, establish a permanent one here. Who knows what dire consequences this may have?...
Stats, on a scale of 1-10:
Strength - 5
Endurance - 10
Agility - 1
Intelligence - 9
Willpower - 10
Personality - 0
Luck - [ERROR 236:Too low to display]
Powers, abilities:
Tooth and nail: Whatever the circumstances, The Polyglot's HP hovers around 5% of the theoretical maximum, and he is immune to healing spells/abilities, as well as any collateral damage(so Aoe attacks, earthquakes, etc do him no direct harm).
Unshakable resolve: The Polyglot's stats get a 200% boost whenever he is in mortal danger (Down to 1% HP)
Who is that guy?: The Polyglot fades into the background automatically, making him nigh-unnoticeable. If there is no available background, The_Polyglot fades into the foreground instead.
Lone wolf: Whenever he is fighting alone, his dodge chances and damage increase drastically. If he isn't, they decrease instead.
Down on his luck: If anything can go wrong for The_Polyglot (Allies included), it will go disastrously wrong. Natural disasters occur very frequently around him.(Note, that they do not harm T_P directly, but they can and often do leave him (Allies included) in impossibly difficult situations.)
Unearthly Aura:
The Polyglot projects an aura, which alters the mood and feelings of nearby HCers, bringing it closer to what it is experiencing at the moment. Much like a Babel fish, it also translates whatever is said to The Polyglot, based on the pattern of the speaker's brain waves
Further background info will be revealed during the course of the game. (No significant stuff, just his origin and so forth.)
