Well, probably tomorrow, I will already be playing SoD. It was already shipped by the shop in which I ordered it. The package is waiting in the warehouse for the courier to pick it up and deliver it into my hands

Darn, I didn't think of that...
Then again, it's a standalone, so maybe patch 2.1 is already in it? And the patch itself is for the vanilla, they did push the release date afterall, no?
Nonetheless, the bug fixes are minor, so I think I'll manage somehow

I'm not thinking on the bugfixes, but the game itself. I'll put you an example:
In StarCraft 2 : Heart of the Swarm expansion, you could buy the game prior to release, as well as downloading the big 'patch' is the expansion itself. But, not until the day of the release you could play HotS.
That's why I have my doubts.

Patch will be released on tuesday (2 days before release), but that shouldn't matter. UPlay most likely won't recognize SoD before thursday anyways ^^

Well ... if the game is supposed to be released on May, 2nd, there's no reason for you to be able to play before ... internet or no internet

How nice...
SoD made me uninstall original Heroes VI in order to install it. Said something about detecting an older game version (1.8), and the need to uninstall it before continuing. SoD is 2.0.
Some "standalone" this is...
The funny thing is, that although all my unlocked Dynasty stuff is there, I don't see any new content. No new Dynasty Weapons (Pre-Order bonus), no Dark Elf Heroes. Additionally all the vanilla content is blocked: no campaigns, no custom maps, only SoD and DLC ones (Hack and Sandro). I had to manually unlock SoD, but I can't unlock the vanilla content as it is assigned to the Complete Edition, which I, of course, don't have.
Does it mean I have to wait for the 2.1 patch to unlock the content?

Well I guess this is why we will be getting 2.1 update before SoD releases. It should then install properly.  The way you did it meant for people who buy it as a standalone. so blame your lack of patience! at least you can play SoD right now!

BTW, does anyone know how to unlock bonus content in Heroes 6. Dynasty weapons to be precise. I've got the codes, but I don't know where to "insert" them...
