Weren't core creatures already very powerful and favored to go for? It seems they don't want you to favor Champions creatures at all

Training centre works exactly as I expected.
Memory mentor - 5000 for full reset - balanced 
Cartographer like thing is useless for my map at least.
I guess this dungeon outpost is the same thing like pyramid from vanilla game - again super balanced to have relics or gold depending on chance.

why the hell they favored again and again core creatures? why they didn't make an uniform price of 100%... What is the point of making a cost of 225% for the champion creatures which are enough difficult to build.
ahh i know is surely to compensate the price of the cristal, bad idea however.
The problem with this tier system is that you shave the map with only your core creatures and there is no need to build elite or champion creatures and (again) in the battlefield the champion creatures are so weak against the million of core creatures!
And what will be the next tier system made by ubi ? 7 core creatures?
Tier 7 system was far better.
About this expansion is a good news ubi try to finish this game but this game has been released is september 2011.. and 2 years later there is no improvment on the game mechanics and we know for sure that they are not able to change the skiltree and to provide a better gameplay.
Time to move on Heroes VII and don't miss the game Ubi.

Im even more excited now! FInally got internet connected after the move, just in time for the download  lovely, a lot more then I expected, all these new buildings, bosses, but the most impressive for me(you know, an Academy lover) was the last hero placeholder... Interesting... may be the second expansion is in the making?

Not necessarily. I still think 3-tier system can work, but with some changes.
I feel the big problem is the names, the most basic of the tiers is called 'core', which leads to a bigger role than they should. Cores should be either less tanky unit or less damage output, then make second tier (Elite) feel above of it (and encourage to go for higher tiers). And I think making of champion tier, units with no upgrade and probably reduce their growth to 1/week, making of them a very decisive creature in the battlefield. I believe that way game'd be much more fun.

It is exactly like in h5. You need elites to shave difficult maps just compare defense stat of every elite vs every core. You need elites to tank 
If it is 100 % for everything then you will never upgrade(also not wise cause buildings give additional growth).
Where do you think you will find such building? It will be stupid to put it in first 2 weeks. I will put it on island accessible only early week 3 so that you can upgrade core 1 and 2 before going to centre. It will be balanced and good.
Memory mentor is the thing to whine about !

To all of you mapmakers, please create more custom maps when you get your hands on the expansion, cause 8 custom maps is a ridiculously small amount  There were twice as much in the vanilla IIRC.

Yes, but I ' m a perfectionist. Soon my map won't be released to public. Also I have to make sure it is playable for dungeon now.
I don`t know if most of you will enjoy it though - creeping on the edge and 30 mins turns on week 2 are not rare but you could play defensively and finish creeping your part later.
Anyway I still need to make it different for player 2 `cause it is a mirror copy right now and last but not least there is no decoration. It is light years afar from campaign maps in this point. Maybe someone can help me decorate it ?

Yes. The box is even laying next to me  . Though the game is unplayable. I'm not the only player reporting the same problems (some folks in my country who also received their copies say the same things): game crashes/freezes in the same moment after loading the saves (I even heard it crashes when hiring Dark Elf heroes from a tavern), the cursor is problematic, some dialogs are in German instead of my native language etc.
My guess is that the game was delayed because they already made physical copies of it back in February, but it was buggy, so they moved the release until they made the 2.1 patch. I REALLY hope that is the case. So I'm eagerly awaiting the patch, although I might not be able to play the patched up game, because I'm going out for a couple of days. So you guys will probably play "the better" version of the game before me ...
