Mitch turned to Dracula to pick up where was last left off. "So, they are all separated. Who do we have that can hopefully gather information on which relic our enemies will go for, when?"

Jack tried hard to contain his emotions and listen, but at last his composure failed and they burst out like steam from an over heated kettle.
"Oh, will you stop that?! Can't you see what's going on? A genuine, fully fledged, powerful devil is free to roam the world! And you're talking about demons and totems. We should go straight to the source! Let's forget about the small fry and get rid of Malbozia himself!" He pulls himself up, the light in his pumpkin glowing brighter than usual, "I'm willing to do it myself, if you want to guard those totems so much."

"If it was that easy it would already be done. Between me, Dracula, and Cain here..we have enough strength to take on any demon. As long as even a single lieutenant or general remains on this plane..Malbozia can not be destroyed or bound. So we must take out the soldiers first. As for where the items they seek are, we have that information. We plan on sending squads of three to each location. We do have one thing that is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The demons do not want to be exposed any more then we do, so they will not be able to reveal themselves to humans. Like us, in human form they are vulnerable. That is an advantage. Now..listen up..and each of you can decide where to go." States Van Helsing.
"Me and Ester here," he points to an older lady with granny glasses on and grey hair. "Will head to Germany. Our goal there is a Nazi medallion that was presented to their greatest war hero."
Vlad speaks up next. "Me and Mina will be headed to Rome. A Cross used in the Crusades is on display in the Vatican. We will be retrieving it."
Cain is next. "Me and Astir are headed to the Pyramids of Egypt. There is a pharaoh's Ankh that was around during the time the pyramids were built. Many died during that time."
Frankenstein nods "Me and Krisss, he points to a Basilisk, are going where there is little worry about stealth. We are going to China after an Axe that belonged to Attila the Hun. Who's in?"
A hydra named Lema speaks next "We are also going to Egypt, but a different part. Me and Tut." A mummy "Seek a scarab that actually belonged to Tut, but was taken from him by betrayal."
A Sasquatch named Hemi is the next to speak. "Me and Melinda.." he motions to a Ghostly female. "Are headed to Salem, a remnant of a stake used in the witch trials is running around there..and that is our goal."
"As for us.." A female and male troll duo."We are going to where the Aztec's used to play. We are after a sun medallion used during quite a few sacrifices. ((Names are Hilda and Kamir))

China
The squad makes it to the great wall, where last the Axe was rumored to have been seen. A local guide meets them, and directs them to a cave nearby. It is not long before they reach the heart of the cave, where the axe is found..frozen in the hands of a man. Legend has it that a local demon, some ice creature protects the Axe..though nothing can be seen at this time..but the humans with the group will not go near the man. They claim that many have already tried to get to the axe, but all have disappeared.
Yet the man is in the open in the cave, with no places for any creature to hide..so this is a bit confusing. As the group is trying to figure things out, a group of demons ... each with four arms..standing about 15' tall..find the cave and start to head for the man.
Frankenstein addresses both the members of the group. "Me and Krisss will keep the demons busy, get to the axe and get it..local creature or no. Take it back to headquarters, do not try to stay and fight..but be careful..these legends usually have some sort of truth to them."
Germany
When you arrive to Germany, you have just missed the medal. Somebody has arranged for it to be moved by armored car according to your local contact...no doubt Malbozia is responsible. Whatever happens that item can not reach its destination. Van Helsing says "Ok, fear of being outted or no..it does not matter right now..it is more important to get that item. Ester..what do you have for us?"
Ester conjurs a spell that allows the three of you to travel faster then thought possible..on stallions made of Air. Van Helsing says "Whatever happens, we must stop that armored car..use any means you can."
Rome
Vlad grins his toothy grin. "If we can obtain it without bloodshed, so be it, but me and Mina are not worried about shedding blood. We like blood." He laughs.
You arrive to the location, and he fills you in a bit. "There is a large masquerade ball being held..and the cross is on display. If we can maintain our cover great, but we must retrieve the cross."
The three of you go, as humans, to the ball..but immediately there seems to be a problem. Only a small handful of people are there..way to few. "Make your way toward the cross..remember try to maintain your guise as human."
Egypt - Pyramids
The three barely make it inside the first pyramid to find the Ankh, when they are attacked by giant...spiders. Leading the spiders is this half human female, half spider thing. "Lloth! Should have known. At least we know the Ankh is in this pyramid..she wouldn't be here if it wasn't. Find it."
Salem
Much like in Rome..the streets of Salem seem very .. devoid of people. From every crevice, hole, and house..tiny demons about 1' in size spill..more a bother then a threat..that means that this whole town has been over ran by demons..who knows what else might be lurking.
"I believe we were expected..means somebody in the group is a traitor."
Aztec ruins
This one poses a much different problem. No humans around, so little fear of being outted..but plenty of old traps for the unweary. As the group closes on where the medallion is being held..there is a putrid smell in the air. Oozing mounds of what seems to be rotting and melting flesh come from the jungle. Again, it seems the group was expected...

Vlad chuckles "Of course it is my good fellow. I have not seen this few people in this place for a good century or two." He walks with a grace and dignity that seems unnatural. He is king of the masquerade, and he is in his element. Oh but Mina..Mina is beauty and elegance personified. She seems to glide, not walk..but of course since she is a vampire that is a possibility.
You make it about a quarter of the way to the cross, when the humans all turn into demons. Vlad smiles a toothy grin. "Make for the cross..me and Mina will handle these..take it and get back to base. Do not stop for anything, and do not let anybody stop you."

Rosina nodded at Frankensteins order and focused her eyes on the Axe, her thoughts centering on it and she raised her hands slightly to retrieve the Axe without actually having to approach it.

"Find it? While I have been to many places throughout my life, I can not say any form of pyramid has been one of them. I wouldn't know where to begin, without getting lost in here. Though, since you two are going to be busy, I will go look anyway."
With that, Mitch runs off to find said Ankh. He uses the shadows around to transform into a werebat. After the transformation, he lets out a screech, to get sonar information about the layout of the immediate area.

The axe moves..but only a little..it is firmly frozen in the ice, and the ice is firmly attached to the ground. The man is not moving from that spot easily, and as long as the axe is in his hand..neither is the axe.

Sure enough, there must be a dozen of the .. blobs. As if they have a single mind, they are all moving as if they are a single entity. Blocking avenues of escape, and closing in on the group.

Your echo location gives you a good idea of the layout. Common sense tells you the center chamber would be the most logical location of the item, and you now know how to get there..even the sonar can not tell you if any traps might hinder your way. Flying though, gives you a good advantage, as most traps would be designed for those on the ground.

"Treachery?" Ben replied thoughtfully. "Or just plain bad luck. Helsing said that the demons were looking for this things as well. Eitherway, let us rid ourselves of these nuisances first. Shouldn't be too hard. Besides, there seems to be little chance of being spotted."
With a sickeningly wet tearing sound Ben took off his own head and transformed into the Headless Horseman. Quickly the pumpkin grew from his neck, spreading a flickering light.
From the distance, a demonic whiney could be heard. As the little demons closed in, the Nightmare horse closed the distance more quickly than a horse should be able to, sparks of electricity jumping whereever it's hooves struck the ground. Ben shoved his original head into one of the saddlebags his mount carried, so he would not have to carry it with him all the time.
Then he formed his whip in his hand and prepared to face the imps.

Marven mounts the stead unsteadily, not really having any horsemanship skills to speak of before he gets a bright idea. "Ah, could one of you break the window?" While he might not be able to ride a horse, he could shapeshift into something that moved faster than a car, and it was small enough to go unnoticed while also fitting in basically any size of a hole. "I have no idea what the medal looks like, but I can get this truck stopped for certain." He continued as his body began to shrink and four transparent wings began to grow. "After all, who expects a dragonfly to turn into a wolf?"

They are easy to kill, but there are so blasted many of them. Seems almost as if for every one you kill, five takes it place. When they do land a hit, it feels like needles poking you. Still they are just basically like ants, and you are making progress through the streets. After about an hour of fighting the little things, you notice their numbers are finally starting to dwindle. The location of the stake you are after is reached..and suddenly the little creatures disengage. A fat goat like creature about maybe 6' tall steps out, he has a staff with a skull on the end of it. "You will find that I am a bit harder to kill then the imps."
((You had to go inside a museum so your horse will not fit, you are in an large room with many valuable pieces such as paintings, vases, etc. The ceiling is one of those high vaulted ceilings so there is no danger of hitting anything on the ceiling))

Van Helsing is able to shatter a window with one of his arrows. "Go we will catch up! Ester, see what you can do to slow them down!"
Ester nods. "One illusion coming up..it should slow them down." She casts a spell and suddenly the armor car slows down. You don't see what they see, but apparently whatever it is, is effectively slowing them down.

Rosina sighed in annoyment and looked at the demons once, then spread her wings, bright and blue as the ice around them. She lifted from the ground and moved toward the Axe, gliding softly and staying on guard, creating the illusion of mist approaching from the entrance, covering herself and the area around her.
