Don't misunderstand me here. I'm not a beta-tester. I preordered the game on GOG and got acces to some concept-art as a result of it. I discussed it with Naze a week ago or so, but back then, I feared that NDA and such things might get me in trouble posting this artwork.

Did you actually have to sign an NDA to get a preorder game??? 
STORM SISTER, EAT MY STUNNING THUNDERBOLT SPAM! 
I so hope we get back them as Storm Priests like in Dark Elves in AoW.

No, I didn't. But up to a few weeks ago, the beta-testers were very hush-hush about anything that wasn't revealed by the devs already. Which was why I wasn't about to take any risks about showing stuff that was supposed to be kept under wraps.
That ship has sailed now. The units of the unrevealed Warlord class are out in the open now as well. Most units available to player-cities are known about now. So, I didn't feel like I was taking any risk anymore, no matter how minute that risk may have been.
As for the Storm-Sister, are you aware of the lore behind the new High-Elves?

Well that should be enough to make it clear that the Storm-Sisters are likely the descendants of the Storm-Priests.

I thought you were a beta-tester, but still, these are amazing. I love the art, of course, in game units are a bit different, but the concept is still pretty much the same.
Orcs are great, and I like their names, Greatsword, Razorbow, Impaler(though he already exists in AoW2) has a spear that now suits his name very well. Can't wait for this game!
Also, is it just me or does the whole look of the units associate a lot to the Warhammer Epic? At least High Elves really look a lot like High Elves from WH, which isn't a bad thing, I love WH. And now that in combat we have "squads" instead of single units, it seems like that they were inspired by WH.

Well, previous games didn't.
Of course, they didn't have squads, but the models were also pretty much different and unique to the Age of Wonders world. Now, these unit models looks a lot like something Games Workshop would design.

Wow, great, thanks! However, I must say, I like the 3D models more, than the concept arts. Unlike Heroes 6, where many concepts looked better, than the actual model

Yes, well in the case of AoW the keyword is Concept, while with Heroes 6 The keyword was Art.

Ok, I tried this game for 15 minutes before going to work, and first feeling was of a mix between Heroes and Civilization. Actually, to me it feels more Heroes in some ways then H6...
Lot of ambience and oozing atmosphere. A bit confusing at start though. Creature models are not on par with Heroes 6, of course, and graphic even on ultra looks jagged and bit low textured. I have managee to fix it somewhat by overriding AA settings in Nvidia control panel.
I have limited time for gaming and too many good games basically fight for my Time (D3, Titanfall, M&M XL, now this) so I would be greateful to read your thoughts on a game, may be with some beginners tips?? Please

I played half an hour yesterday, and I have this warm feeling of finally getting everything in a game again that I want. The tactical combat is absolutely captivating, the info is plentiful, the options are even more so. I have one hell of a problem to work today, instead of taking a day off to delve into it.
What I really like is the fact that there is NO SILLY TUTORIAL MAP!!! Now, I know, it's probably only me - but they decided to simply have all to-do and event messages coupled with links to the online "Tome of Wonders" ( in effect a large manual).
In other words, the game (and its makers) credits me with a certain intelligence level over and above that of a dog.
Simultaneous turns and one HELL of a random map generator ... and maps can be rather gigantic.

First impressions - AoW gone full 3D. A major part of the old game feeling is preserved and quite a few new things are added. At first glance it looks like a sequel done right (not many of them these days).

Indeed, I've just read the AoW forums, and people are very pleased with the game.
The only thing so far that I dislike in the game is Wyvern model, they look terrible.

This is great news.
As I suggested in what I think is the only quality post I've ever made (but that sadly got little to no attention) is that this forum must expand and change to stay alive.
It should add a section for this game once it comes out.
Perhaps even a section for Elemental: Fallen Enchantress and other games like this.
But certainly Age of Wonders III. It seems like a splendid game compared to what the HoMM series has turned too (It has no continuity anymore, no story, sure the games are OK but...it's just a milking cow IMO)
