Help Needed - Ghost Maps!
I recently installed H5 and when I went to create a game, in the map list I found some old custom maps of mine that I did not place in the maps folder. In fact they were not there at all! Apparently these maps exist somewhere but I have no idea where so I cannot remove them. And as they were modded I cannot have a multiplayer game as long as they continue to exist  After my pc was formatted and I switched from xp to windows 7 there remained a folder with the old windows content but the maps were not in the tote directory. I browsed through my temporary files and they were nowhere in sight either. Can anyone help?

maybe you can open them with the editor and unmod them?

Do you remember the name of one of those maps? Use the search at bottom of "Start-button's list". That should find the location.

I had tried that to no avail but the editor solution worked! Thank you so much Fauch!

To be able to open the phantom map with map editor & unmod them but yet not see the file in windows exploder makes no sense (unless they were set to hidden & show hidden files was not ticked). Which directory did the map editor find them in???
And yet I read once that someone else had modded maps in other directories (not the usual directories) that caused MP problems so this seems similar to that strange problem too...

They had a padlock icon but I have absolutely no idea where the hell they were, I just deleted them on sight. I'm pretty sure I had wiped any trace of the previous installation which might even have been before the format. Go figure
