Just as I thought. I believe it makes much more sense to compare MMX with previous M&M than other RPGs. Most of them are very different...

okay
after playing and finishing the act I've came to the next thoughts:
1. the game is more bugged then might and magic 9 . hell its more bugged then "will rock" if anyone has a recollection of that.
in fact it seems that the game was released so prematurely that the developers should lose they're jobs..
2. the easter eggs regarding the hints of older games (new sorpigal, other sorpigals,goblin watch tower,kengi, and etc), are a good plus as
continuation of the tradition, however it i'm afraid its not enough of it. where is hints of ironfists,of gryphonheart? it could be so much better...
3. the graphics are over done, in face of the lore. i mean they took points out of lore and added to graphics. that's a no-no. the lore is so lacking that i'm not sure i'm fallowing it all , other mm's (even the 9th) where interesting to complete and read..i don't have it here...
4 . the game-play itself is not bad though, the lot all option and the inventory is nice. the blessings is a nice idea.
5. i'd rather they keep paper dolls of might and magic 6-8 rather then a combination of might and magic 9 and heroes.
6. class system is IMBA...or is it just me? race system is also too..linear? where is dark elves? where is naga? where is NEW? i also just downloaded and installed (but not plaid yet) the dlc. i sure hope it will be not a waste of time and will include new races\classes.
so what i think?
graphics 7/10
lore 2/10
game-play 7/10
so finally the game gets a 5.5/10 rank
over roll the game is worse then might and magic IX .

I don't get the bug part, I never really got any problems with that. Don't really get lore either, but that's rather subjective. I didn't particularly like it either, but it's not like it was bad? MM9 was definitely worse than this for me though, and I didn't hate MM9 to begin with.

well i guess different systems works differently.
lore is imo the reason for me too keep playing, its more importent then graphics that's for sure, at least for an crpg game.
the less it looks like older MM the worse it actually is...
down with ubisoft ,
pirate only ubisoft

Fine!
I love this game, its atmosphere is fantastic. It is obvious that the team knew what they were doing. There are a few issues but the fact is that it won me over, a new fan without prior M&M experience.
I love the feeling of exploration, the dilemma of turning back to resupply or march on, finding yourself in certain death situations 
Let me introduce you to my party:
Elvin, the female dual wielding bladedancer.
Doomforge the two-hander mace barbarian.
Alci the light/fire runepriest.
And Armi the earth/prime freemage. She is actually Joonas in disguise, don't ask.
Initially Elvin struggled to reach Doomforge's damage dealing but at some point she got the starsilver blade, master dual/sword and purchased a seismic silksword(+20 earth dmg) of perception(+6) all at once. The transformation was immense, Doomforge has been eating my dust since  With some caster support they are a great team, lots of damage all around ^^ When Alci is not supporting them with celestial armour/heal/inner fire he is blasting stuff up while Armi takes care of regeneration, stoneskin, heroic destiny, enemy armour reduction and as of recently, purging! She has a lovely implosion too. The good thing is that when one of them faints, the other brings him back They have all been promoted with Armi being the last one. Joonas always was the lazy studying type
I am playing on hard, has some sweet challenging battles every now and then
