I get your sarcasm here, but you surely know presidents get elected: without the mass voting and acknowledging their political views, they are nothing and remain nothing but normal people. So, bashing the world leaders is not so weird. It may look pointless to you because a gaming forum "poster" clearly has no influence or power, but multiply it by millions and with the valid arguments you put down powerful presidents, when the right moment comes.

I fail to see where my post angrily points at you. I had same sarcasm in mind about Joe's in-forums thoughts but I recently saw Sarkozy being put down by multiplied by millions rumors, therefore I don't underestimate anymore Joe's power, is he right or no.

Monarchs are people as well but they are born and raised to rule, which is why I prefer them to politicians.

So you'd rather be a serf under a lord, than a citizen electing the politician? Youngsters these days...

Not an absolute monarchy. But a monarch I could respect, I can't say the same for a romanian politician.

That's because you've never lived under a monarch. Besides, monarch are politicians too.

Yes but they rule for all their lives. Politicians only for 4 years, they steal all our money and live like kings the rest of their lives.

We have very good examples in former communist countries and more recently-Iraq/Korea, about "rule for all your life" consequences. I think I will stick to the 4 years option.

There's a difference when the mandate comes from the masses or yerself like in Korea.

I'll tell you this and you mark it well: King's aren't cherry picked by the mobs, but a real king has the love and mandate of his people as well as god. I will find a king worthy to wear the crown upon his/her brow.

Politicans due not rule for only 4 years, they rule for about 30-40 years if they are inbreed. With on and off periods, but once you get to the top in a major party, you will get a seat in politics year after year even if your party does not win the election.

If anyone gets near the queen of the UK or the emperor of Japan, they lose more than their head.

Polticians at least romanian ones are like the plague to the country.

Actually, that's not true. The monarchy was re-established in France after the Napoleon Era, it's called the Bourbon restoration. It lasted 15 years, not a very long time but not a blink either. So, beheaded Louis the XVI is not the last king of France.
