Although, IMO, H2 druids and H3 monks are pretty much connected.

Nice Work. Almost QP worth
But yu left out the two new neutrals in SoD (Panther and Undead Dragon)
And also the Thunder bird is a bit out of its place, since its a Boss and you left out all othr bosses:-)

I'm guessing that it was done before Panther and Undead Dragon were revelead. (I'm guessing that it was also pre-townscreens H6 patch)
Otherwise, wow.
Shows that the Castle/Haven, Stronghold and Dungeon are the only truly mainstay factions. (Necropolis was introduced in H2, and Inferno in H3, which I haven't realized until now)
And big shame for H3 Fortress being a one-timer. (but then Sanctuary has a similar issue)
Alright, two units managed to slip through, but wyverns ended up in the Stronghold, and hydras were stripped from their champion status and didn't make it into H6. (which is a shame considering that they have been there since H1)

As impressive as the work is, I disagree with several of it's conclusions. (most of which can be read in a previous thread about the evolution of "all" creatures)
For instance the fact that the Academy Naga isn't connected with either of the sanctuary ones. The fact that lines don't split, as I'd say that the Rakshasas and both Sanctuary Naga are a continuation of the Academy Naga line or the fact that Sentinels are the amalgamation of the pikeman and swordsman lines. Or the fact that Panther warriors aren't connected to slayers. And either with ogres. And several of such more.
But I reiterate, the work is impressive.

It may be that Rakshasas and Nagas have several arms, but does not make them the same character and the same race, even when inspired each other. And the sentinel though it may have more armor similar to the swordsman, uses a spear and not a sword . Because I have not played and there is still little information, I have not noticed if the panther and the dead dragon appeared in the game. And as the bird thunder had my doubts, but in the future it withdraws.

This looks familiar....by the time TotE was out, was there a similar version without h6 creatures?

It appears then that we define creature evolution differently.
